Lahat ng Kabanata ng Heart At Knifepoint: Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

Numb, that what Victor felt mostly all over his body. His hand on which a bullet was shot was not moving and he wondered did it was even attached to his body because he can’t feel a damn thing on it. A hiss left his bleeding lips as he tried to sit up straight, his body leaning heavily on the tree trunk. Every breath of his was remainder of the kicks he had gotten from Adriano from previous 20 minutes on his ribs every time he breathed, a pain shot up through his ribs. “Will you talk now?”  Adriano asked calmly brushing his bloody knuckles on his khaki pants, not even sparing him a single glance. Victor laughed, his laughter mixed up with his coughed up voice as he spited blood on the floor. Edna took a deep calming breath at his act, her fist clenching at her sides looking at the shameful man still laughing in mirth.“No.” Victor rasped out in coarse voice, wincing slightly as his tongue brushed his

Adriano's POV I ran as quietly and as fast as I could but the angel beside me fall down. My grip on her hand loosened by both her unexpected fall and my sweaty palms.  "You okay?" I asked , croaching down on my knees taking her tear stricken face in my hands.  " I'm scared..." She whispered out, her pale blue orbs heavy with fear, her lips trembling working like a fuel to increase my rage.  " Nothing is going to happen to you, I promise you that." I vowed, pressing my lips on my sweet angel's forehead.  She nodded wordlessly, before I wiped out her tears and helped her standing up.  " Stay here and don't come out unless I tell you so..." I commanded her softly hiding her behind the wide pillar at the corner of the parking lot of the mall, where few minutese before my angel was shopping peacefully before those bas*ard decided to attack

" Long time no see!" Vincent asked with a sly smirk reminding Edna of a fox. " You again?" Edna resisted the urge to groan out loud." You wound me! doll face, aren't you happy to see me?" Vincent feigned hurt putting a hand at his chest." Why am I here again?" Edna asked not really in the mood of playin7g around. Vincent just raised his brow as if silently telling her why is she here. " Don't tell me you are doing the 'give and take episode' again." Annoyance in Edna voice was as clear as day. Quoting the words making the handcuffs around her wrist to jingle." Cut that attitude little girl , unlike last time I won't hesitate to cut your tongue and send it to your lover." Vincent hisses leaning towards her clashing his grey stormy eyes with the brown ones." Do you really think Adriano will just give up on Rose like that? Or Alberto will give her

Adriano was barely containing the fury ruining in his veins like a molten lava. His mind was unable wrap around the fact that someone so easily took away his precious  when he was at  just freaking few feets distance. How could nobody heard any scream because there was a small trail of blood just small but it was there. Was she hurt? He shook his head immediately as that forsaken thought crossed his mind. She couldn't be hurt. He tried to comfort his own self , running a hand through his hair which was all over the place. She had that knife, she wasn't defenseless. His horrid , anxious thoughts were cut off by the ringing of his phone. " Cody" Adriano whispered his voice strained of any emotion. " Boss, I found who was that partner. It's inbox was blowing up with text from a guy name Vincent and from the content it is clear that they were planning against you together. " Cody informed quickly. " Of fu*

Let's play Vincent." He mumbled switching off the safety of the gun. It didn't take him long to enter the warehouse , the first person who was eating pizza only got the time to widen his eyes before Adriano in two long stride was in front of him snapping him neck he laid his lifeless body on the ground and hide behind one of the pillars when heard footsteps approaching and the other one who was carrying two can of drinks in his hand met with the same fate but he did alerted before dying.Rolling his eyes Adriano shot the man who barged from the one  locked door right in the head. Holding the body of the guy as his shield he shot whoever comes in his way right in the head not giving any one second chance.Vincent who eyes widened as he saw Adriano behind the wall of his man and started running. Adriano growled before when his clip went empty. Taking a hide behind the pillar he quickly changed the clip ignoring the bullet that were wheezing past his sho
