The Warrior’s Bride chapter 11The walk home was not long for Fareeda. Her father’s words left her confused. She knew he was only saying that because she ended up with Alexander, but deep down she knew he felt like she was the reason her mother died. Sometimes she thought he was always so harsh towards because of her mother. She knew she should not be giving any excuses for her father being right, but today he sounded unlike himself. He sounded like a sad man, someone who was in mourning. It hurt to hear him that way. She wondered if her father ever loved her. Fareeda pushed those thoughts away from her mind. She wanted her home- she and Alexander’s home- to be her happy place. She didn’t want to have any sad or bothersome thoughts there. She was not entirely exhausted after the day’s work, but she was feeling a bit tired.

The Warrior’s Bride“My prince .” Fareeda said, trying as much as possible to hide her fear. “Your prince? “ Prince Amir asked, looking at her. Her fear was very obvious. There was nothing he could do to her. She was already another man’s bride. “When you rejected me was I your prince?” He asked, leaning against a tree in front of her. Fareeda looked up at him, wondering where this was going. She opened her mouth to speak when he stopped her. “Shhh. Maybe you were really his first. You are lucky my father convinced me to leave you to alone or you would be dead. “ He said, his facial expression very serious.

Chapter Fourteen.
The Warrior’s Bride. Amir stared at his father in shock, before he looked to Alexander, the man he had been training under for a while, was his brother. It was only now he saw the resemblance between them. He had always wondered why he never had any more siblings, but later he realised it was due to the animosity between his parents.  “Does mother know about this?” Amir asked his father. “I have yet to tell your mother. You know how she can be.” The King said, warily.  “I have a brother..” Amir said almost as if he couldn’t believe it. He could see the uncertainty in Alexander’s eyes. It was like he was waiting for him to explode.

The Warrior’s Bride “Fareeda, sometimes things do not happen as planned. I know it is early for a baby, but it is a blessing.” Alexander said to Fareeda, he knew she was not so excited about having a child. “But I am too young. I do not know anything about children. I also heard childbirth is very tiring.” Fareeda continued as she prepared lunch. “I will be here with you every step of the way. You do not need to worry about anything my love. We will take care of the baby together.” Alexander said, he knew she was scared at most. He knew the older women always told horrific stories about childbirth. “I love you.” Fareeda said, walking into his arms. She was very happy to have this man in her life.

The Warrior’s Bride.  Fareeda yawned as she got out of bed. She had not realized how late it was until she began to hear the chickens making so much noise. She needed to release them so they could move around.  She tied her scarf around her head before she put on her dress and made her way out of the room. She could not deny that even if she woke up late today, she really enjoyed her sleep. It was like she hadn’t had a really good sleep in a long time.  “Abdul..” Fareeda said when she saw him by the kitchen. He looked troubled and she wondered why he had just been standing there.  “Ohh Fareeda...I have been wanting to get you, but Alexander warned me not to bothe

The Warrior’s Bride“Fareeda..” Alexander said knocking the door before he walked in. He met her standing at the wash basin. She was holding it tightly before she turned to face him. “I do not want you worrying yourself over me and the throne. You need to remain calm because of the child.” He said, making his way to her. “But I only worry about you because I love you. The child is fine, Alexander.” Fareeda answered placing her hands on his muscular arms: that were holding her at arm’s length. “And I love you my dear. I am fine. I understand. I have no choice now. I will be king, there is nothing I can do.” Alexander said, accepting his fate.

The Warrior’s Bride. Alexander’s fever continued since he had been moved to the cabin for three days, he was not getting any better. It was like his situation was getting worst as hours passed. The sight where the poisoned arrow pierced him began to release green pus, which showed he had an infection. There was nothing the healer could do. His body had to fight off the infection on its own. Everyday she would clean the sight of his wound and she always had to wipe him down with cool water. He was always coming in and out of consciousness and covered in sweat. Fareeda had not checked up in her father since the battle. She wondered if he had been injured too, or worse killed. She decided she would need to check up on him today. After she finished wiping him down for the fourth time that morning, she decided she was going to see her

The Warrior’s Bride “I don’t think you should start training right way, Alexander.” Fareeda said, looking at his back. He was cleaning the dishes they just had lunch with. He really stopped her from raising a finger around the house. It had been three days since Alexander got to his feet and Fareeda didn’t like how he was taking things. He had just recovered from an infection that almost took his life. She placed a frown on her face when he turned to look at her. “I am good and ready to start training again. My men need me. I cannot stay at home, pretending to be sick when I’m not.” Alexander said, trying to reason with her. He sighed before he dried his hands and walked to her. “Do not worry yourself ab
