"It's the Notebook movie quote" I heard a low murmur beside me. I quickly turned and pulled out the sheets from Kiara. She was holding a tab under the sheets while her eyes were on me. "You are still awake?" I looked at her. She nodded at me.  "I was reading a book" She mumbled.  "Kiara, it's too late"I shuffled to her side.  "Where is Papa? He didn't meet me today" She looked at me. Her words made me speechless. How can I answer her when I haven't found it yet? 

Alizeh's POV       I reached work on time. Before getting into the office, I once checked myself in the mirror. I have never worn bright colors before. But I guess it's never too late. I wore the same when Alexander first asked me out. I rubbed my palms in nervousness and entered the office.    "I can't believe he is here!" I heard a female voice.   "Yes yes he is so hot in reality, oh gosh" another female voice erupted.    Who's here?    I walked ahead taking each step carefully. I saw everyone in the office, especially the female staff, excited as hell. I walked ahead and saw most of the people looking at me. Some of them looked frowning. Some like Monica!    She was in my cubicle. She walked at me with a cunning smile.    "Look who's here," she murmured, eyein

  Alizeh's POV   While reaching my apartment, I saw a familiar woman coming out. When she turned at me, I halted feeling joyous seeing Layla.    "Hi" I felt surprised by my nervous voice.  She smiled wide while walking at him. Her eyes sparkled.  "So my guess was right." I forgot about Kiara tugging my hand.   I couldn't stop smiling at Layla's sudden presence.  "My daughter Kiara, this is Layla, my friend" I introduced them to each other. Kiara rubbed her eyes while waving her other hand.    "Hey gorgeous lady"  Layla greeted her.   Kiara opened her mouth but she ended up yawning.    "How come you are here?"   "Actually I came to meet you here. But found your apartment locked so we're going home" she said.   

New day New Beginning,   And it's new Alizeh too. My morning began with Layla's thinking. I wore my usual comfortable clothes. No more show-off, nothing fancy. Yet the new me. I let my curls flow down and got ready for my work.    Kiara kept asking me about Macmillan and Alexander. I told her to focus on their studies first. This Macmillan can make any girl made for him. He is a jerk but a sweetheart too. I owe him a lot of explanation. Since morning I have received ten missed calls from him but somewhere in the deepest corner of my mind, I was rooting for Layla's call. She didn't and I felt amused. Kiara went to school on her bus. Once she hopped in, I waved at her and became ready to reach my workplace.   Once I arrived in the office, I could feel different confidence in myself. My work has picked up a pace. I am feeling happier than usual. My day would become even better when Macmillan took an entry to my workpla

When I opened my eyes, it all felt like a nightmare. Kiara was sitting in front of me. I got up and leaped into a hug, pulling her closer to my chest. Never before have I felt like this. Losing her is the worst possible thing life can give me.    My eyes fell on Anna, Sofia, and Edward.  Edward came ahead and sat beside me. "Are you okay hun?"    Anna gave me a glass of water. I drank it hurriedly.  "I'm okay guys. Sorry to disturb you all" I murmured looking down.   "Now you have disturbed, tell us what has happened?" Anna sat beside me with a questioning face.    I shook my head sideways. I couldn't even dare to utter those words as they ached my heart. Anna let out a sigh. Edward patted my head gently. "Let her get some rest. We will talk about it when she will want"    I thanked Edward. After everybody left
