11: Part 1
A soft knock on my bedroom door woke me up and I prepared myself for the sun to attack my poor eyes. But it didn't. I slowly opened them and saw the sunlight hidden behind the curtains of the windows. I pulled off the comforter and swung my legs to the side to get out of the bed. I walked towards the bedroom door, running a hand through my hair to ease out the tangles.I opened the door to reveal a grinning Samara."Good morning, ma'am," She greeted me."Samara, call me Juliet," I said, giving her a small smile. "Uh...what time is it?""It's past eleven in the morning. Mrs. Jenson asked me to wake you up for breakfast with her and your friend. I hope you're not angry with me for waking you up," She said as she looked at me nervously.I gave out a chuckle. "It's absolutely okay, Samara. Actually I'm glad you woke me up. And God, had I been sleeping for that long?""You must be pretty tired. Your friend told me that you went to bed at three in

I looked at her, studying her features. Her dark hair was slightly damp, probably from the shower, cascading down her back like a river. Her deep brown eyes stared at me, her brows slightly furrowed as she eyed me worriedly. She had changed into a pair of black jeans and a simple white shirt."Okay," I nodded at her. "I'll stop worrying about this. I'm pretty sure whatever will happen, will happen for good."She grinned at me and went back to her food."By the way, why were you drenched last night? You didn't tell me anything when I asked," Olivia said after some time, pointing her fork at me accusingly. My grip on the glass of water which I held in my hand, tightened as I recalled the events of last night. "I was pushed into the pool," I gritted out."Who pushed you?" Olivia asked, pushing a stray lock of her hair away from her face."Ethan Evans!" I said through gritted teeth, his name leaving a bad aftertaste in my mouth. "I hate that guy

"Only one word; beautiful. This is beautiful," I whispered, my voice barely leaving my lips as I took in the sight in front of me, where I would be living for the duration of my stay at the mansion."So, you like it?" Mrs. Jenson asked and I could almost hear the hesitation and nervousness in her voice. It almost made me want to cry seeing the old lady nervous and anxious to know if I liked it or not.I shook my head at her. "I don't like it, I love it," I corrected, beaming at her, "Mom," I added. I love how the word sounded when I spoke it. I miss my mom.Mrs. Jenson surprised me by stepping towards me and taking me in a tight hug."I'm

My imagination was cut short when I realized we had stopped walking. I looked around to see we had entered a store. "I'm Farah, this is Diana and Lucy," Farah said, gesturing to the other two women by her side. "Mrs. Jenson told me to show you everything that is in our store, and we're sure you'd love everything. After all, these are all sourced from top brands, right off the runway for parties, events and much more. We're here to help you get everything you'll need, from casual wear, party gowns, bags and shoes to make up, skin care products and much more," She said in one breath."Okay," I said, getting impatient to see all those dresses. In times of fright, a human does the first thing his mind tells him. Well, in my case, I did the second thing that my mind told me. The first thing it told me was to scream my lungs out. But the second thing that it told me, and which I actually did, was way too crazy. Yet, it was totally right.I decided to attack the intruder. In a snap decision, I jerked off the bed, feeling the intruder's arm fall freely from my waist. Before he could react, I swung my leg over his waist so that I was in a kind of straddling position with him, which I didn't give much thought to, and grabbed the pillow I had rested my head on. I brought it above my head before smashing it at his face. I heard him take a sharp intake of breath. I didn't really know what I was doing. I had the pillow pressed on his face, which was kind of, an attempt to murder him but I didn't care, for I was solely concerned for my safety. He, whoever he was, had intruded into my room. And that too in the middle of

Breakfast was awkward, to say the least. On the way to the dining hall, I ran into Ethan. What a great way to start the day! And to think that he would just ignore me for the best. But no, he couldn't just walk off as if I wasn't just standing right in front of him. He had to do something! He tried to trip me. Like how could you expect a twenty three year billionaire to be so immature? And all because of a stupid, childish feud with his childhood enemy. And it wasn't even my fault that he and Juliet were sworn enemies!I glared my best at him while he just walked ahead of me, looking smug. Maybe I should just give his baby making stick another kick. That would perhaps get his brain back from wherever it was in his dick. And to my great annoyance, he took a seat right next to

"Chicken fight?""No.""Diving for treasure?""No.""Marco Polo?""How old are we? Eight?""Pool volleyball," Tristan stated, ignoring Olivia's comment. She seemed to consider that. I wasn't bad at volleyball so I think we could win."Okay," Olivia finally said."Get ready to lose," he said, smirking as if he already won the game."No, we won't. We will win and I'll show you!" Olivia seethed.Ten minutes later, we all were in the pool. The volleyball net as well as the boundaries were set and Ethan was stood on the far right end of the pool on the opposite side with the rubber volleyball in his hands, as he had won the coin toss and he was to serve first."Ready?" Tristan shouted from the other end of the pool."We were born ready," Olivia said, giving me a slight nod.On cue, Ethan served overhand by tossing the ball over his head and using his dominant right hand to hit

I sent him a menacing glare. "You wish, Evans," I muttered, shoving him aside to hobble up to his level. My ankle was probably sprained and it would be better if I just made it to my bedroom at the earliest.I looked at him in the eye. He may have been a bit intimidating at the dinner table when I had my first dinner here, but not anymore. He had changed into a black shirt and grey sweatpants and his hair looked wet and disheveled. It was clear he had recently taken a shower. Oh, so maybe he was in the shower when I rudely barged into his room."Were you the one who spread shampoo all over my bathroom floor?" I asked calmly, waiting for his reply, which he did with a question of his own."Would you believe me if I said no?""No," I said flatly, finally showing him his locket by dangling it in front of his face. He snatched it from my hands, muttering a "shit" under his breath."Then yes, it was me. What're you going to do about it?" He asked, raisi

Yes, it was a terrible ankle sprain. And me walking after that to track down Ethan only made the sprain ten times worse.I groaned as I stared at the beautiful chandelier hanging right on top of me in my room. It was evening and I had had my dinner before everybody else. A doctor was called to attend to me. My mom had visited me twice to ask me about how I was and I replied that I was just fine. Thank God she didn't ask me how I ended up with that ankle sprain yet.I had already had my dinner. It was sweet of Samara to bring me my favourites for dinner and ice packs every two hours. The pain was terrible but I was able to walk by myself if I didn't put much weight on my sprained ankle. The doctor had told me to not move around much and my mom had literally ordered me to never get out of bed for this week and if it was urgent, like I need to pee or something then to call Samara to help me.Currently I was on my bed as Samara nursed my sprained ankle with an ice p

Come on, I'm your mother. You can tell me what happened," Mrs. Jenson urged, rubbing soothing circles on my back. I fumbled for words as I racked my brain to come up with something good enough. See, I was a bitch to still be going with this. I could just blurt out the secret and try to prove it that I really wasn't who she was thinking I was. But I couldn't bring myself to say that. I was such a coward. I feared her reaction. I didn't care if she made my life hell, but I just didn't want to see her face full of pain and heartbreak. I didn't want to see if she would give up on ever finding her daughter. I knew I was making her happy today. But for how long? This would eventually come to an ugly end. Very soon. This was only temporary. In midst of these conflicting thoughts, I didn't really pay any attention to how I was really looking on the outside. It wasn't until my mom spoke that I realized that I was probably looking like a constipated pig."Are you alright?" Mrs.
