Bree's had her fair share of kisses, at least she believes she has, ranging from her first with Greg, her highschool crush later turned boyfriend in her junior year of high school, to the last and that had been with Cole and definitely before her knowledge of his cheating episodes. But none of them prepared her for the feeling of Ryder's lips on hers, his tongue in her mouth, doing madly sensual things to her and annihilating her sense of reasoning with it.Boy, could the man kiss! And he did it with the confidence of a man who knew his own virility and was proud of it and its achievements.God, what did she sign herself up for?Because if it involves kisses like this one, then she'd just gone and damned herself. She'd known this could happen, he hadn't promised celibacy in his bargain, but she didn't expect it to happen this soon or make her feel this way either. She wanted him closer, to feel his hard body against hers, have h

Since the afternoon he'd kissed her and then gone ahead to compliment the action with insulting words, Bree has done her best to stay out of Ryder's way.His words had done more harm than she was willing to let him see, so she avoided him instead, staying off his radar.Thankfully, it hadn't been a difficult task to accomplish in that big house they both lived in.His suddenly busy schedule was what she loved to think of as added bonus. And then she'd resumed her work here and everything has been so perfect. So why was he here now, towering over everyone else in the lobby with his intimidating height, in that stance that dares you to challenge him?"What are you doing here, Ryder?" He turned at the sound of her not so confident voice, looking at her with those annoyingly bland eyes of his.Bree would have felt good and better prepared for the moment  if there was the slightest hint of emotion on his face cluing

She complicated his plan. Before he'd come into this town, Ryder had believed himself impenetrable and incapable of feeling anything, but since her he's been feeling conflicted with his plan. She hadn't been there when her father and his had made his life a living nightmare, just like the one he'd just had, but she was still an offspring of a man that he despised so much and the key to everything he's slowly setting in motion. He couldn't do away with her yet, but everytime he let out his bottled up anger on her, the confused hurt that answered him back from her eyes made him feel lower than a scum bag.No, it didn't bring him the satisfaction he'd expected, the tears he caused her made him want to wipe them away. And in the end, he finds himself caught in a vicious cycle because he can't help letting that anger go on her.He wanted to go to her room and apologise, but it's been so long since he'd done that he doubted he'd even know the righ

The information that stared back at Ryder from the screen of his high tech laptop just served to solidify his plan to tweak Jeffery Mathew using his precious little daughter. From what he's read so far, the man was bankrupt in every meaning of the word and the only good thing he's probably got going for him is daddy's little princess, Brianna, who he now have in his grasp. The gear has finally fallen into place and his whole game plan just became set in motion. That old fucker, so help him God, is gonna play his hound dog, sniffing out the others for him and delivering their asses to him.Wouldn't be too hard now seeing as he had Daddy's little princess exactly where he wanted her. She's been out since the early hours of the morning, and he knew it wasn't work she'd left for.First it was the weekend and they didn't work on weekends and second, he knew of the phone call she'd taken a couple nights ago that had instigated her absence.

By the time they were halfway through the bottle, Bree was feeling less sorry for herself and more light headed. No surprise there, she's never really been one with a head for alcohol. It surprised her though that she'd drank up her tab at Glitz the night she'd met Ryder.Must have been all the pent up anger from her break up fueling her body's metabolism of the damn thing and allowing her gulp down so much.Usually, it took about the second or third glass to knock her out.And she was dangerously close to her limit now.She fiddled with her glass though, not letting it down for a refill. She should have known to call it quits earlier than this, but it's never too late, hmmm.A moment later, she dumped the glass on the table abruptly, still aware of his intense orbs fixed on her like he was trying to figure her out or something, and stood up."Thank you for inviting me up, 'twas nice drinking with you, Rydie." She muttered.
