PARDON   ************** ZOEY’S POV **************** The moment I set my eyes on Caleb, memories of our time together came back with full force. He was the kindest and most generous man I've ever met. He had treated me with so much respect and love when we were dating, our relationship was envied and complemented by our peers in school. Everyone said our match was made in heaven, unfortunately, I turned it into a nightmare.   As I stood before him in what I believed was his home, I came face to face with what I had lost due to my negligence and lack of self-control. Would I blame Philip, never? It was my fault, my grievous fault, I wanted to eat my cake and still have it. I belittled the most precious person I had because he wasn't wild as

THE MEN IN MY LIFE *****************SOPHIE’S POV******************It was a sight for sore eyes to see Caleb again, he had been gone for some days since our night together. I know I sometimes say hurtful things and most times it wasn't from a place of being spiteful. According to my mother, she says I should learn to weigh my words before saying them because it is impossible to take the hurtful things I said back. Well, it doesn't take overnight to change, and since Caleb left for almost a week I knew my words must have hurt him deeply. Whatever happened between us that night wasn't his fault, we should blame the alcohol, shouldn't we?. Well after a week of me worrying about him even though I vehemently denied that I was to my parent

SMALL WORLD   ******************* ANGELA’S POV*******************   “Say what!” a worthy exclamation considering how things turned out. I had only gone to the beach party at Maimi to kill boredom, having being curled up in my bed for most of the day. I had gone for a mini-vacation to clear my head and prepare for the new job I would be resuming the next day when I met this near-perfect gentleman. He had the looks of a god with chiseled jaws comparable to that of Zeus. He made good conversations which was a plus for me when it concerned the opposite sex. He was also persistent in asking me out for a date and all, it made me feel good though, because it had been a long since anyone asked me out for a date, and also I found him att

Process   ****************** SOPHIE'S POV ******************   It has been almost a month since my contract with Delacrioux was signed. After I visited the company with Caleb, the signing took a bit more time than necessary. I sometimes wonder if it was because of Caleb's disappearance to God knows where.   The euphoria I felt at the time it was signed had subsided but my heart still hurts from the strain in my relationship with Caleb. He does not show any form of interest in me or try to make any conversation and this hurts me more than I am willing to admit.    I have a feeling he is into someone else. I have fallen in love before and kno

MEMORIES  ********************* NARRATORS POV *********************** We are so proud of you Sophie. From when you were a little girl, you showed great resilience and we believed that you would do great things and make the family proud.” grandpa Greg said to Sophie after kissing her on both her cheeks.    Her grandma Rosaline held her in a firm hug for some minutes and when she separated the hug Sophie could see glitters of tears in her eyes. “You made us proud tonight, my darling. I have no words to describe it.” the tears flowed down her well powdered weathered cheeks, Sophie brought out a clean white handkerchief from her purse and cleaned the tears.
