Chapter 24    For the rest of the dinner, I never looked his way although I could feel his stares burning at the side of my face. Chapter 26  I walked up to the familiar porch and the humble-looking cottage where I had grown up, the trees which I planted when I was only five years old had overgrown the barn and stood lonely in the night.
