Only an hour had passed before Teo and Vaughan joined Fenryn in Lynnette's room. She seemed to be in a deep sleep, nothing more. However, Teo's look was enough to tell Fenryn that it wasn't good news. Morning couldn't come quick enough for Vaughan. He had been up all night with worry. His bruise had healed well enough that the apprentice that Teo had ordered to tend to Vaughan's needs was happy enough to leave him alone now, but he had been given strict orders, not to overexert himself at all.
