Growing up as a military brat, I didn’t have too many holiday traditions. Unlike my husbands, who every year growing up knew they would go cut down a tree, and they’d go to the trellis lights event. We moved enough that it was hard to maintain traditions. But there was one that even after mom died, we kept alive.
