In the midst of her thoughts, she felt an arm wrapped around her shoulder. "She's going to be fine." It was Jon, his eyes had turned red with tears which he tried to keep from falling, he stretched his right arm to her right shoulder and held her left hand with his. He almost hugged her, making her feel secure. She lifted her head and looked at him to her left, their eyes met and Jon removed his right hand from her right shoulder, using it to wipe the tears that fell from her eyes. "I do not know sir," she said softly, trying to pull back the tears. Jon replied in an instant, "How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me sir when we're not at work?" He was trying to make the mood a bit lighter, while keeping his calm. Cathy finally managed to smile, and as she did, a doctor meets them. Jon offered Cathy to stay in the penthouse for her safety, but she insisted on staying in their home. The night was hotter than usual, and she cannot seem to be in the mood for sleep. Apart from the fear of knowing that the security footage has been deleted, the feeling of being guarded by at least ten men, roaming around her property made her feel uneasy. Her mom is still in the hospital, and it may take another three days before she could get home. Jon has provided all the security personnel to make sure they both are safe, and he swore to her that he is going to take care of everything. She recalled him saying, "We are going to find out who did this, and why," he opened the door for her, kissed her cheek and closed the door after she got in. Jon has asked his chauffeur to take Cathy home before heading to the penthouse, leaving ten men to make sure that no harm shall come to her the whole night. George Keith Albertson, has been a single father for years. To remarry is one idea that he never entertained, because he believed that he has married the perfect woman and that no one else will equate to her. Everything seemed perfect, until they found out that she had developed a brain tumour, which was triggered by a crime in her early teenage years. Vivian Desmonde, daughter of jewellery maker and businessman Sergius Desmonde has always been pleasing to him. He wanted Jon to propose to her, he says she is good for both the family's reputation, and the business. Keith was the first who went unhappy when Jon broke up with Vivian. Today was nothing different. He, once again, d

Cathy left a note on the table saying that she had already prepared breakfast. She did not bother to wake her mother up, because she slept late the night before. When she opened the door, Jon was waiting outside and smiled at her. "Hey," she said, "Hi," he immediately held her hands. "How's my girlfriend?" he asked her. She tried not to show her emotions, and asked him back, "Girlfriend?" He took her hand, pulled her and closed the house door behind them. Holding hands, they ran to his car, Jon opened the door for her and Cathy got in. He quickly went to the driver's seat. "Doors locked, and seatbelts." he lifted his arm and grabbed the belt over Cathy and locked hers. Their faces so close to each other, he said, "Who could ever resist your beautiful face, Catie? From the first time that I saw you, I wanted you to be mine." Before she could say a word, he tried to kiss her, but she pushed him away. "Jon, stop." She looked at his eyes, "We need to go to work." He laughed, stroked her
