Chapter Forty ‘Hey, wake up!’ someone shaking my shoulder and talking to me broke through my sleep and I opened my eyes. My bedroom door was open and the memories from last night came flooding back. Panicking, I shot up and pulled my bedsheets over me, covering me, but when my eyes adjusted, I saw it was Donny not Chris and instantly relaxed. ‘What are you doing in here?’ I asked, sitting up, stretching and rubbing my eyes. ‘Christopher asked me to come and check your face, he said, and I quote; 'You walked into a knife?’ Seriously? Chapter FortyTwo Once I was safely back in the kitchen and away from any danger of Kane seeing me, I had to sit down for a moment to stop myself from panicking. Did he know I was here? Would he care? Hi everyone,    Thank you for reading this book, don't worry this isn't an announcement to say that I'm discontinuing. i have tried really hard to post daily updates and try and hit the MAB this month. I managed to get to about 15k words, however, I can't do it. 50k is just too much for me (personal opinion) and im going through some pretty big life changes at the minute.  One of them is that I'm splitting my time between my home and my boyfriends home every other week, which is fun and exciting but involves a lot of travel and I simply don't have time to write on the weekends anymore, which is a big chunk of time.  Another is that I have just started a new job! and it involves a lot of early mornings, courses and training that is also taking up a lot of time.  Also, my partner and I are also making some personal big life changes that will limits my time aswell.
