Chapter 11
Howard slowly approached with a locket in his hand. It shone brightly reflecting under the light that caught Nile’s attention. He took it to take a look at it and a lovely smile was born on his face at a glance. Howard sat face to face with Nile. Seeing his clumsy face, irritation clouded in his head. He lit a cigarette while relaxing his back on the couch. Some of the others were sitting at the back or standing in the corners with guns in their hands. They were waiting for the right timing to shoot the unexpected intruders in their boss’s life. Swinging the locket clumsily, Nile looked at Howard with a beaming face. He pointed at the locket, “Hey, see there? There’s HD written in Pacifico.” Howard focused on his pointed positi

Chapter 14
“Why did you lie?” Eleanor shot a glare at Howard who was standing proudly thinking what he did was right. Clearing his throat, he instantly replied, “They wouldn’t have accepted me if I said I was a don, would they? "They won't consider a clerk as their son-in-law either!"Eleanor snarled at Howard who was still acting hard to get. After having a silent glaring fight between them, Howard peeked at her before he asked, "Why do they hate you so much? Aren't you also an Anderson?" An instant reply came in return without hesitation, "Don't know!" However, Eleanor's shaky eyes were saying otherwise. She averted her face from Howard who was staring at her inte

Chapter 15
Howard followed Eleanor to her room without any fuss and jumped on the bed as soon as he got there. He threw his shoes away which almost hit Eleanor. Grabbing the soft pillow, he groaned, "Man, am so beat!"   Nina was standing by the door with her eyes widened when Eleanor was standing aside watching Howard relaxing on the bed without any concern. She had a lot of questions that she wanted to ask him, but then she changed her mind thinking she needed to teach this don some mannerisms.    She politely asks him to get out of the bed, "Mr Howard? Would you freshen up first?"   "Let me sleep, will ya? Have a lot to think about!" He groaned as he rolled on the bed.    She was about to give up when she thought o

Chapter 16
Nina came out of the storeroom as soon as she regained her consciousness. Her clothes were covered in dust and her hair was all messed up. She was grumbling as she walked toward Eleanor's room since she had some scores to settle with her when Eleanor's sudden appearance before her startled Nina.   Crouching her clothes, she growled at her, "Ma'am? DO YOU PLAN TO KILL ME TODAY?"   However, there wasn't any response from Eleanor's.  She was looking at the hallway without blinking. As if she turned into a stone suddenly.    Waving her hands in front of Eleanor's shocked unwavering eyes, Nina asked, Ma'am? Is something wrong?"   She looked into her room where she found Howard standing facing the window. She co

Chapter 17
Everyone had assembled in the dining hall after they were summoned by Miranda. Leaving one seat which was at the centre of the circle of the chairs, everyone had taken their respective places except for Eleanor and Howard. They were standing aside looking for chairs.    "Do you eat while standing everyday?" Howard asked in awe.   "I basically take my meal in my room. That's why the maids have probably forgotten to arrange extra chairs." Eleanor replied calmly but that didn't assure Howard.    He again asked, "Didn't your grandmother order to prepare for the whole house? Didn't they get it? Or is it usual for some mere maids to ignore one of the Andersons?"   "The underworld mafia king sure asks a lot of qu

"How's it going over yours, Eleanor?" Finally, the long-awaited questioning approached Eleanor. She gulped down the food she was eating and fearfully looked at Miranda as her tone was angry when she asked her about work. Of course different from when she asked others! Marrying a man with a shallow identity than the Andersons was surely one of the reasons, but the main reason was Emilia. Her bash behaviour had angered Miranda and she would surely vent it out on her. Eleanor had predicted this a while ago, so she was prepared to answer any question that Miranda threw at her which would be harsh words if she was exact. Well, at least Eleanor thought she could when she was rolling the play in her head. However, the reality was quite hard for her to handle since then her hands we

"Why did you do that?"   "Why else?"   "What my grandmother says has nothing to do with you! So please refrain from indulging yourself in my matters."   "You're my wife."   Eleanor's face brightened with red colour as blood rushed backwards. She could feel her face getting hot and heart beating louder than drums from hearing the serious tone of Howard's. He was walking towards the room wearing a stern look on his face, so he answered Eleanor without looking back at her. Thus he missed the opportunity to see her flustered face which made her relaxed.    However, she couldn't shake off the thought that his interference was unnecessary and rude. Also, she

"Quill, did you find him?" "We lost track, boss...sorry…" "It's okay! Keep up the search…" "Yeah…" An uneasy moment engulfed Howard and Quill. Unable to comfort each other, they kept their mouths shut. Days of searching for a certain someone had failed which left them disheartened. Because this man could possibly solve the dispute between Howard and the Anderson's and find out the real culprit.  However, it was gradually getting tougher to find the man. Howard was at a point of giving up before he had heard the man's whereabouts.   "What about the other task I as
