Chapter 11

ALEX’S POV I am here at the restaurant where Liz and Gian are having lunch. And bingo! I already saw them. I went to them as if I did not know they were there. I was close to their table. "Liz?" I act as if I got shocked from seeing them. Liz furrowed. "Alex! What are you doing here?" "Lunch? Isn’t it obvious?" I said in a sarcastic tone. Liz's eyes narrowed at the same time, raising her left eyebrow. She seems to know why I am here.

Chapter 12

BRYAN’S POV "Are you dating someone?" We were all shocked by Alex's question to Gian. Alex doesn't want us to notice that she likes Gian. Note on the sarcasm. What did she like about him, though? I thought she doesn’t like a playboy? Wait, did she mentioned that she didn't want a playboy? “Wait for a minute, baby girl, your question is a bit personal.” I tried to stop her. "Shut up, grandpa! I'm talking to Gian." She hissed. What the?! And I am getting mor

Chapter 13

ALEX’S POV It's been a week since we had lunch. And since that lunch, I never heard about Bryan. He did not text me or call me or even ask me about work. 'Wait, why am I sad? Isn't that what I want? ' I asked myself 'Do you really want to?' suddenly, my other brain said. I sighed. It's funny. I knew I should be happy because I don’t need to exert an effort just to avoid him since he stops bugging me. Suddenly something seemed to pierce my heart. I mi

Chapter 14

ALEX’S POV After my conversation with Bryan, we never talked again. I hate him, and I also hate Gian! Who do they think they are to play with my best friend’s feelings? Even if they have good intentions but they are still wrong because, in the end, I know my best friend will still be hurt. Even if I wanted Liz to move on from Bryan for me to have an excuse to let myself fall for him, I will still not choose to betray my best friend. What if my best friend fall for that guy, then that guy didn’t have any feelings for her?! For sure, my best friend will be hur

Chapter 15

ALEX’S POV "Janet, I won't be in the office today. But I still need to see the report for Q4. Send it to me before lunch." I instructed Janet. ‘Copy, Ma'am.’ "Okay. Suppose you guys have any concerns, just text or email me. No phone calls." I added. ‘Copy Ma'am’ "Okay, Bye." ‘Bye, Ma'am.’ I hang up after my few instructions with Janet.

Chapter 16

BRYAN’S POV Until now, it seems like what happened earlier is so unreal. Fiancee? What nonsense is that? She doesn't even have a boyfriend. She's an NBSB(no boyfriend since birth), for cry out loud. And now someone will suddenly come out and introduce himself as her fiancee?! Maybe Alex just planned that because he found out what Gian and I did? There is a possibility that she is doing this to avoid me? That's right, Bryan! That guy is not Alex's fiancee. I feel like I'm going crazy. I need to be sure. I immediately picked up my phone and called Liz. She is the onl

Chapter 17

ALEX’S POV Until now, I still can't forget Bryan's reaction when he found out about my relationship with Nic. Flashback"FIANCEE???" I bit my lower lip. I know that this will happen, but I didn't expect it to happen right now. How can I explain to him about the situation with Nic? Though I don't need to explain to him because we have no relationship, I still know that I still owe him an explanation. I feel guilty even though I know I did nothing to him. 'What do you mean nothing? You lead him on!’ my other mind scolde

Chapter 18

ALEX’S POV I have a dinner date today with my best friend, Liz. Liz and I have not been able to date for a long time since she and Bryan broke up. We are here now at our favorite restaurant. "Sis, I heard the news from Bryan," said Liz I'm sure she is talking about what happened last night. "I'm sorry, sis, I wasn't able to tell you about Nic and me," I said. "So Nic is his name. So how is he?" She asked.

Chapter 19

BRYAN’S POV Alex's engagement party with Nic is near. The engagement party of the two is now on the news nationwide. Until now, I still can’t believe that Alex will marry someone else. I never thought of that possibility. All my life, I never dream of getting married until I met Alex. I will do everything to stop that marriage. I can’t lose her. She’s the only girl that I plan to marry. And I will be the only groom for her. I need to think of a way to stop that engagement.

Chapter 20

ALEX’S POV My engagement party with Nic is already tomorrow. So I was swamped the past weeks. Fortunately, Sapphire’s busy schedule is over because we already cascade all the programs to all our dealers, and all we need to do is execute it. I dismissed the sales and marketing team early because Nic and I had dinner. Nic and I are together almost every days. Because apart from getting to know stage we are also talking about the next inde movie he will make. I am so excited about that movie. It will be my first time to see an actual shoot. Honestly, every
