TAKEN eleven Just immediately Marcus left the office, Jenifer's friend strolled into the office taking another look at Marcus before turning to her friend with big eye balls widening with a glimpse of awe."Are you kidding me?" she squeaked at her. Jenifer raised her brows not understanding what her best friend was talking about. But she definitely recognise the look on her face when she turned back to check Marcus out. "Oh no don't go there" Jenifer said repeatedly warning Jane. She knew how Jane can be and that look confidently told her Jane wanted her to try Marcus out. When Jenifer finally got out of her abusive relationship, all thanks to her best friend, Jane has been looking forward to seeing her with another man and wouldn't let her rest if a masculine figure waved at Jenifer. Jane even went further by putting Jenifer on blind dates, all was a disaster though, but she wasn't giving up. "I'm already there" she laugh

TAKEN twelve Getting to his fitness class, Marcus wondered why he was here the second time in a day. He pondered on Jenifer's sudden call this evening. He was not expecting it. There were no classes at evening so the class was empty, he head to his instructor's office. There she sat roaming her eyes into some books on her table, she raised her head up and saw Marcus standing at the door. She gave a warm smile and stood on her feet too. "You sounded urgent" Marcus eyes rolled hesitating to come in even with her welcoming smile. Seeing her on her feet he sighted the new dress she was wearing, different from the one he saw in the morning, she didn't look like his fitness instructor here, but she really looked fit. She was a work of expertise. "Well, you could just take a sit and know why you're really here Mr Marcus" she said and after giving it some thoug

TAKEN thirteen

TAKEN thirteen They both sat on the same table and placed their order, Allen began eating hungrily without minding if Flora was interested in the food or not, he wasn't going to eat something this better at home anyways, so he took his time, not leaving any grain of the food out. Flora watched her boss eat, it wasn't mannerless though, but it was obvious he was very hungry, she wouldn't blame him. He uses the strength he was supposed to save for later to scold her for not dressing as he wanted. Allen looked up to see Flora still staring at him without taking a bite from her food. He stopped eating and gently rubbed his mouth with the napkin on the table. He wondered why she stared at him this awkward. "You don't like it?" he questioned her preference of food. "You can have it if you want" she bluntly said to sound rude on purpose but Allen gladly dragged her own serve of the food and dig his spoon inside. She didn't know how to react but she was

TAKEN fourteen

TAKEN fourteen It was the first time Flora was in the CEO's house. She has been a good employee in her work place and someone Marcus liked her but their closeness didn't get to the level of bringing her home. Why should that happen anyway?.She stopped her car and turned to Allen. "Thank you"he said the words she wanted to hear. She gave a short smile and an approval nod and drove out of the house. Allen turned to the house direction, saw Stella standing by the door step, he checked his wristwatch and saw that time was fast spent. She was with a worrisome look and wrinkles form on her forehead. He walked to her and stood in front of her. " Where's Marcus? "was the first question she threw at him. He wasn't expecting a squeeze on her face as she always seemed happy to see only him at home. She looked behind him to check for another incoming car but she didn't see none. " Who was that?"she asked. "Marcus ha

TAKEN fifteen Marcus worried nervously. He wasn't sure how he would tell Stella he wanted to leave home. He just got back from wherever he went to and he was not going to work today, what other explanation could he give if he didn't want to reveal his fitness practice to her. He paced the room three times beating his legs continuously. Stella sat with her phone as she watched her husband in disarray. He was casually dressed to go out but he looked bothered about telling her where. "Marcus"her questioning tone caused him to stop at a spot. Could she see how nervous he was? He turned to her and gave her a short wink bouncing on the bed where she was and touched her leg. "Are you okay?"she asked him "Definitely"he said too quickly "You want to go somewhere?" "Yes. With you...let's take a walk"He was certainly going to skip a class today, he wasn't rea

TAKEN sixteen

TAKEN sixteen Let's take a quick rethink.'To be honest'her thoughts refreshed. She really was pained by Allen's words. He chattered her expectations. His words weren't a waste of time. What if he actually said what he saw. She was just being hard on him and on herself. But he had not right so say that, he was the one that just complimented her back view, how could someone compliment what he didn't like. Or was it just an irony? "I'm not attracted to you too" she hoped it was a good comeback to what he said, but it was poorly said as her voice gave a little crack and pain in it, making her seem like she was begging for his attraction, but definitely she won't do that. She loved Yvonne and she's really not interested in guys. NOT ANYMORE Her attraction with Yvonne might have taken long to accept, she had to fight herself and a lot of people to be able to go on with a relationship li

TAKEN seventeen

TAKEN seventeen Stella wasn't convenient with the mood she and Marcus were when they got home. They suddenly got cold to each other, so she needed to leave home and have a clean refresh in her brain. She took her handbag and her car key as she drove outside the compound. Marcus watched her from the blinds of the sitting room and shook his head. Stella had changed and he didn't seem to notice till now. Their marriage was lagging. He could tell she was getting bored of him, but he didn't really know what he was doing wrong, should he stop working? Does she need more attention? Is it about him on bed? Does he not look like what she married any longer. His phone vibrates in his pocket and he brings it out. Jenifer displays on the caller ID and he picks it without hesitation. "You missed a class"her 'scolding fitness instructor tone' didn't change. "Are you less busy?"he asked. "Are you okay?"with a concerned to

TAKEN eighteen

TAKEN eighteen Jenifer wasn't welcomed with a very happy or normal face like the one Marcus use to put on. Instead, it was very obvious how sad and dejected he was. She offered him a seat in her office and drags another chair to sit beside him. He didn't sound too nice on the phone and didn't look too nice either. She was certain it had something to do with his wife since that was the main topic and why he even met her, a fitness instructor. She offered him a glass of water and he gulped down in a rush as he arch a brow of anger too. "I love my wife"he angrily burst out. Why was he so angered loving his wife. What was so annoying about his love for her, he couldn't figure it out on time. "I know you do"Jenifer softly said holding his hands. "Let it out Marcus"she rubbed her hand on his back, giving him space to let out what he was feeling. "I don't want us to grow apart. I want her back. Like when
