Unexpected Visitor
The sheer fabric of her white dress clung to her skin as the night breeze from the kitchen window blew in. Her hands shook as she poured herself another cup of black coffee. The only light in the room was from the glow of her phone screen and some of the garden lights that found their way inside the house from the open kitchen window. She didn't open any of her lights because she didn't want her landlady to know that she was still awake. She doesn’t want to sleep but her body, infused with too much caffeine, was already shaking. Her body started to feel tiredness and numbness from lack of sleep. She put down the coffee mug—afraid to break it too, just like the other mugs that are already in the trash bin. She knew that she had too much caffeine in her body and she must stop. And yet, the thought of falling asleep and being trapped in her nightmares was enough for her to pick up the cup of coffee despite the trembling of her hands and her body jerking to the crackl

Father And Son
“Father,” he whispered while his wolf whimpered in fear. Since he left the pack, he didn’t see his father. He only sent someone if he needed to tell him something, which was to return to the pack. It’s the only time that his father visited him and he has a feeling that whatever his intention was, it’s something that he won’t like. “Aegaeon,” he said in his deep, raspy voice due to smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. Eon flinched when he heard his name. No one called him by that name since he abandoned his pack and decided to live in this city many years ago. He straightened his back and got off from the barstool. “Let’s talk in my office.” He doesn’t want Lina to overhear whatever they are going to talk about. And since the information that another group with a wolf as a leader has been rampaging on his territory, he and his men were on full alert. “Stay for a while,” he turned to Lina, touching her elbow before he walked ahead to his office with his fathe

To Be The Alpha
"Do you know that Father is here?" She snarked at the other person on the line. “Larissa, you know that your father kept most things to himself and his Beta was under the same order. So, the answer is no! I don’t know if Alpha Aaron will be there!” He snarled back at her, agitated. Everyone in the pack knows what was the reason why Alpha Aaron kept on pestering his son that had already abandoned their pack. He wanted his son to take the position of the Alpha. Everyone in the pack would also agree that Eon is the best candidate to be their next Alpha. If only he had a Luna and he didn’t leave the pack for a long time. He has been working in the pack the best he could to be considered as a candidate. That’s the only way he could go up in the hierarchy of being an Alpha since he won’t win if he would do the traditional way of being an Alpha. Alpha Aaron isn’t famous and feared Alpha for nothing. It won’t be easy to take the position from him in a fight. Thus, he

A Guardian
Aaron left Eon on his study, feeling dejected. He glanced at his watch and was about to leave the club when he caught a sight of his daughter. He sighed and painted a cheerful smile on his lips as he approached her. “Hey, Lar! Is your brother treating you well?” He reached for her elbow as he sat down on the barstool. She just finished bringing a drink to a customer and her face brightened when she saw him. At least this offspring of him is heartwarming unlike the one he left that was still growling in anger just because he insisted for him to return home. “Pa,” Larissa swallowed a lump in her throat and smiled widely at her father. She wasn’t expecting him to come to the bar. “Eon is a good employer,” she winked at her old man, chuckling. “I can see that. He made a man of himself here.” He mouthed, “thank you” when Larissa put a cold beer in front of him. “Did you tell him that?” She lifted her brow at him. Her brother and her father both shared a co

A Redemption
Aaron didn't bother to knock on Eon's study. He pushed the door wide open, startling Eon who was on the phone. His eyes turned darker when he saw him back in his office. He must have been talking to someone important because even though his pupils were visibly shaking in anger, he didn't cut the phone conversation to snap him into two. He sat down on one of the two chairs in front of his son's massive desk. He just noticed that it's red oak. He didn't wait long for Eon to finish his call and as soon as he dropped the call, the table that he was admiring was flipped across the room. "Why are you back?" He asked, roaring. "Sit down!" He let his wolf come out and snarled at his own son. He acknowledges the fact that he has some fault with the death of his Luna but Eon has to understand that he did what he had to do to fulfill a wish of a dying person. He has to honor his words. It doesn't matter if Eon would hate him forever. Eon may be an Alpha but in t

“What did you talk to my father about?” Larissa approached Lina with a new drink. “Nothing much.” Lina creased her forehead because she just lied to Larissa. She had no thought of lying. Before Larissa approached her, she was thinking of asking her about the strange questions of Aaron but the moment Larissa asked her the question, she found herself lying without qualms as if her own survival was on the line. ‘I should just sleep and stop drinking coffee.’ “I see.” Larissa smiled but Lina for some reason felt like running away from the other girl. She averted her eyes for she suddenly feared that Larissa could read her thoughts which were absurd. Her eyes landed on the new drinks that Larissa prepared. “I think I should stop drinking.” She pushed the drink away from her and got up from the barstool. “You going?” Larissa scanned the crowd. The party is in full swing and yet Lina is leaving. She creased her forehead. Not only that she ordered wea

Falling Asleep
“I’ll be on my way now, dear. Sorry for disturbing you.” Beatrice, this time, apologized sincerely. Lina sensing the change from Beatrice, took the opportunity to ensure that the other woman wouldn't come to disturb her again. “I’m sorry also if my lights keep you awake at night.” She lowered her shoulders to show her regrets. She had all the practice in the past for her to pull off a fake sadness. “Oh, no…no,” she shook her head, “you don’t have to worry about it, dear. I just forgot that your job requires you to stay awake at night. Don’t worry about it. I like you because you’re quiet and you have a handsome visitor.” She winked lecherously. Lina who was acting all remorseful threw her head and laughed with total abandonment. It was just too funny to see the old woman blushed over Eon. Her crush for him was just too cute. Well, she can’t really blame Beatrice. Eon is a sight to behold. She giggled. Beatrice giggled too—like a teenager caught on her

Changes
Growling, he said, "Leave now." He let his wolf take over, and his father had no other choice. Aaron didn’t let out his wolf because he wanted to convince Eon as a father, not as an Alpha of the pack but it was unsuccessful. The hurt Eon has for him runs deep and it won’t be fixed by a sudden visit. Now, his only hope to change Eon’s mind is the guardian. If Eon’s wolf could develop a relationship with the guardian, Eon would be the perfect candidate to get the position of being an Alpha from him. He is his son, he’s capable—just mateless for his Luna died. But now, everything could change. He slowly got up from the chair and walked to the door. “I’ll be back. Take care of the guardian.” He reminded him before he left. Eon threw the thick red oak table to the end of the room and it slammed on the door, making the bookshelves shake in their hinges. The table didn’t break, not because it was sturdy but because his wolf controlled his strength. He likes his desk

Hungry Wolf
Eon escaped the ongoing VIP party at Luna, went down to his private basement parking, and brought out one of his sports cars—the one the Lina likes. He chuckled wryly by himself and his laughter sounded strange in his own ears as it reverberated in the quiet parking lot. He no longer remembered when was the last time he laughed. And why does it matter if Lina likes the car he will use? It’s his damn car and he likes all of them, thus, it’s part of his collection. However, he still used the car that Lina likes in the garage. ***Since her landlady found out about her being good at painting she became lenient to the point of spoiling her, especially since she painted some of the blooms in the garden when she had nothing to paint. And when Beatrice saw the painting that she gladly gave her for free, her old landlady squealed in delight. Now, Lina can do basically anything in her apartment without her landlady checking on her. Like right now, she was playing s

The Room Is Spinning
The room spun and Lina lost her footing and she fell directly into Eon’s arms, but she couldn't say anything but make a sound because his mouth was on hers, stopping her from complaining—she wasn’t going to complain though. She even opened her mouth to accept Eon's scorching tongue and she had her arms circled around his neck. "What happened to your living room?" He asked when he lifted his lips from hers and he didn't find the couch in the living room. He scanned the room that was littered with unfinished canvas and opened a new tube of paint. "I don't have a living room," she said, creasing her brows. " I don't need a living room, my landlady has a beautiful garden." She pulled her arms off his neck and she was about to step away from Eon when he bent down and picked her up from the floor, carried her in his arms, and headed to her bedroom. "Hey! What are you doing?" “Carrying you.” His expression told her that question was a foolish one. The punch
