Chapter 11: The Fire Evaluation
Chapter 11: The Fire Evaluation Lucas held his right hand that was way too exhausted to continue the fight. It felt like it has broken bones due to the baseball bat hit earlier. He panted hard as he started to create fires with his left hand and rushed towards the monsters in front of him. They stopped doubling in number and now, they were almost fifty in total. Every man stroked him with their bats as he evaded each of them with difficulty, yet he delivered his punch to three of those men. They were backed off for a second, but they relentlessly attacked him with grit and fury. Lucas and the gargantuan continue their struggles against one another. However, none of those men displayed faintness or exhaustion. "We liked your passion…" one of the gargantuan men commented, their faces provoking Lucas. Lucas decided to shield himself with some circular fir

Chapter 12: His Right Arm
Chapter 12: His Right Arm Everyone turned towards the voice.  In the row of judges, Shad Cagney was sitting with his hands clasped. Lucas gave him a narrow stare. What would this freak do this time? He was such a pain in the ass right before he was an Aspho High Student. He opined all people that will come in his ways that hindered his and Vacio's plans. Right now, what plan did this freak has on mind? "Lucas was good, just about achieving the standard that the Two Bastions have set in…" Shad Cagney slowly opined. "But, don't you think he is simply being a no-go? The powers were just too high. You consider someone like this having Godly Potential?"  The gymnasium was silent after hearing Shad's views. On the stage, Lucas remained calm from the outside, but inside, he was furious. He treated Shad well in the past, just as he treated Vacio with respect before anyth

Chapter 13: Meeting Mister Clive
Chapter 13: Meeting Mister Clive Lucas was still trying to figure it out when Principal Lyns went on. Who would be that Coach Clive? He remembered he'd heard that name from Principal Lyns but he can't recall when it was. He decided to lay on his bed and grabbed his phone from the small cabinet beside his bed with his left hand. He almost hit the lit lampshade that was inches away from his phone. It caused pain in his right arm. He removed his cast because it felt like it was treated too much. He didn't need something like casting for such an injury like this. He checked his mail he expected that no one messaged him. In fact, it was no new thing. Who would check up on him except Moon? Apart from him, he has no person now that he was close to. But he was wrong. Some unknown emails were sent to him. He checked one of them. It was from @cunningham.kyle saying, "I've watched you perform with your Godly Po

Chapter 14: Reminiscing Moon's Parents
Chapter 14: Reminiscing Moon's Parents Moon and Doll sat on the balcony not too far from the school. The guy started to recall his past. It was his parents Death Anniversary, on the thirteenth day of September. Doll gave him a sight of sympathy. "It was sad, but we have to keep going forward, towards the future," she stated to Moon. "If we're stuck from the past, we will never be able to move on." Moon started to massage his temples and sniffed with his nose. "You don't understand, Doll. It was still hard to accept it." he cried. "They died and they deserved it!" "Moon, aren't you being overboard?" she curiously inquired. "Don't say that your parents deserved their deaths. They love you, aren't they?" "They didn't!" "How come?" she asked. "How can I understand you if I don't know what had happened?" Moon looked at her. It was hard for him

Chapter 15: The Skill Selection
Chapter 15: The Skill Selection The trainees in the large hall gathered in small groups, excitedly discussing the selections. The schedule where it was held began this day. It has been days after Lucas has shown his Godly Potential. He has nowhere to sit on as he noticed most of the students heading towards this large hall. Before the wide door, a sign was posted on the front, saying that the Skill Selection will only be held inside this hall. Walking inside, he noticed lots of seats beside the wall, but all of those were occupied by nervous students trying to cease their nausea. Some were cheering themselves, some were cheering others. Three to five wandering coaches were talking to some students, and giving them a piece of paper. He tried inspecting what those papers were, and he learned it was a draw lot that has a number on it. It will maintain the order on what class should go on first, second,

Chapter 16: Moon and Doll Evaluated
Chapter 16: Moon and Doll Evaluated   Moon stared at Principal Lyns after she had said that the next part with be an intense battle segment. He glanced over to his classmates and he felt their nervousness even from afar.   Intense battle referred to the different foundation battle styles that were used in different selections on a regular basis. The evaluators would randomly pick combatants to test the students' fighting abilities.   This would be a pain. He didn't plan out that something like this would happen. What was Principal Lyns meant when she said intense? Wasn't it just someone on one battle? They were six within the class, and picking up something like one on one will not cost too much time to them. Given that they were picking students to represent White Day, Moon thought that the intense battle style would be more toward the Division's incredible standard. However, the combatants that Principal Lyns p

Chapter 17: The Selected Participants
Chapter 17: The Selected Participants As the evaluation ended in a short amount of time, the selected participants were all happy. All of their nervousness has ceased to zero as the trial has ended. Those who did not manage to make it to the selection have exited already, with some of those who were friends with the selected ones staying at the hall as they were all lectured by Principal Lyns. Lucas sat at the chair that Nath gave him. It made him wonder, where was that girl? He has to return this chair to her, or else, she might sue him. That would be another reason for her to check on him all the time. Given their location, he cannot see her or anyone familiar inside the room. Also, he has no interest in them for now. He was tired of practicing, as well as improving the spell he had learned from his right arm. All of these lecturings were boring for Lucas, for as he heard all of those being said by Coach Clive to him.

Chapter 18: Celebration with Fury
Chapter 18: Celebration with Fury Dressed in a simple white shirt and wearing the same silk necktie, Lunar Invel had no other accessories anymore in his entire outfit except for that wristwatch that he wore back then. He moved forward, and the cheering from the selected participants followed. Moon kept his gaze onto Lunar Invel momentarily. He began hating his face. Now, he wore classic eyeglasses that suited his manly face. His features have gotten matured since the time Moon had seen him with his mother at the cliff years ago. But he hasn't grown that much. His face remained recognizable, and irritating to Moon's sight. Doll, upon hearing Moon whispered Lunar Invel's name, took a peek at the man. She could clearly remember what Moon had told her. Lunar Invel was one of the adopted children of his parents. Now that the man he used to know was sharing faces with this evaluator, what would Moon do?

Chapter 19: Lamia High's Festivities
Chapter 19: Lamia High's Festivities Moon has no other expressions on his face except anger. It was clear. Lucas also kept quiet as his eyes were locked on his cousin. Suddenly, he laughed. "Moon, I didn't realize that you were this interesting. You know what? I already knew you. With your parents again?" Moon hissed a cold sigh. It was bitter. He sought to keep his emotions vague and decided to look not as irritated as he currently was. "If you had nothing to help, please cut that out, Lucas." He was taken aback. He never heard Moon talk to him that way again after they argued about the incident of his parents for so long. He finally realized what he was getting at. "You said you don't want to be like me, so why are you being mad like that?" Lucas replied calmly, as he realized that his cousin was not in a mood for his humor. "It was such a pity, Lucas. You

Chapter 20: Child He Used to Entertain
Chapter 20: Child He Used to Entertain Lucas trailed to the hallway of the third floor and noticed the strange atmosphere within the place. He had spotted Doll standing over at the edge of the floor, looking down as if talking into someone below her. Everyone around him was looking enthusiastic and animated. Some were having their bags behind them and hopping cockily like a bunny or rabbit. What was the commotion now? He walked towards Doll and started to pat her left shoulder. "Doll. Where was Moon?" he asked. Doll looked over him. "Why are you asking me?" she laughed. Her aura was light and joyful. "Wasn't he with you before you enter the school? I should be the one asking you that. Where is Moon?" "Well, that man probably was still angry with me." He began to lean at the metal rods that prevented anyone from falling. It was the border of the floor. "After I had berated him in
