Lahat ng Kabanata ng MAKE YOU MINE : Kabanata 21 - Kabanata 30

"Yes it is" Kelly snapped, and took a step closer, one hand balanced on her hips, "You are not surprised, are you? And I don't need anyone to tell me that it was you who told him about the company's financial problems. You are the one who wants to bring it down, and so told him to withdraw his funding so you can get what you want. What kind of a person does something like that?" "A man who knows exactly what he wants" Dimitri interrupted, watching her through hooded eyes, but he remained in his chair, calm as always. "And for the record, I didn't make Edward do anything. I told him what he needed to know and he did what any responsible person would do if they found out that they were about to invest their money in the wrong place"  He wasn't even going to deny it. Kelly thought. She had known he was the one, but for some reason she'd somehow hoped that he wasn't such a horrible person. Why she thought he wouldn't be able to do something

The song wasn’t a slow tune, which meant he really didn’t need to hold her so closely. Yet Kelly didn’t pull away. She was certain any one of the media staff that were present would snap a picture on their phone and immediately text it to their editor. The picture of her dancing with Felix would no doubt grace the cover of at least one tabloid first thing tomorrow morning.  Any other company looking to snag Felix would see that Darcy Enterprises had beaten them to the punch. With that thought, Kelly moved easily to the rhythm of the music. She smiled and eased out of Felix's embrace so she could spin around before coming back to join him. The move gave anyone aiming for a photo op an unfettered view of her smiling…and wearing such a beautiful dress.... Thanks to Lizzy.  Another minute and the song was over. The band would probably continue to play until midnight when the DJ, who was set up in the far corner

She was on the phone with her back to him.He should walk away now. It was tempting as he stood there and thrust his hands into the front pockets of his pants. There were still plenty of women in the ballroom who he could dance with, have drinks with while talking, and maybe even take back home for the night. He also hadn’t forgotten  Peter's offer to attend his private party. Again, plenty of willing women.  Dimitri did not have to stand here and deal with Kelly Darcy especially with everything going on with her father, who had glared angrily at him throughout the entire night. But the moment he heard the small hitch in her voice as she spoke to whoever she was speaking to, he knew he wasn’t going up to any private party.  And he wasn’t going to snag some other woman from the ballroom. He was going to stay right here until he knew Kelly was okay. “Yes,&r

But he didn't. Knowing that it was a bad time and he would only end up pushing her further away from him. So all he did was to step closer and stand beside her.  "This party was organized so we could find potential investors. Your aim is to bring down the company, so why exactly are you here, Dimitri? To talk them out of it just like you did with Edward Franklin?" she asked.  He didn't look at her. He couldn't. Maybe because he was a little embarrassed about what he had to say, and he didn't even know why, but he wanted to be honest with her. "I guess I came because I wanted to see you" he said simply, still staring out the balcony, refusing to face her.  She turned to face him then, and he knew that she was surprised by his answer. Hell, he was surprised that he had admitted it, so he didn't blame her when she gave him that look and said, "What?"  "Yeah I kno

“Do you understand what you do to a man like me when you say that?” he growled. “A man like you?” she rasped. “I told you,” he said, voice rough, harsh. His hand shifted from her face and up into her hair, loosening the bun and gripping the strands. “I’m greedy. Selfish. And will take without conscience what you’re offering me.” He tugged on her hair, and pinpricks of pleasure danced across her scalp. She sank her teeth in her bottom lip to trap a moan. “What are you offering me, Kelly?” he asked.  “Me,” she breathed. “For tonight. All of me.” As if those words snapped a fraying leash on his control, Dimitri swooped down and crushed his mouth to hers. Oh God. She hadn’t been prepared. Maybe she’d believed she was. But foolish, foolish her—she wasn't. One hand rose to his wrist, the s
