I stared blankly at the ceiling of my room as tears run down my cheeks. “Am I really that bad?” said by a familiar voice behind me. I immediately closed my eyes tightly while adrenalin started to kick in. I thought of leaving the scene when I heard something clatter in front of me. I slowly opened my eyes to see Selene already walking out of the café. I started to gather my things to leave while cursing that woman for leaving me here. It’s the two of us gossiping about him! How could she leave me hanging?  I stood to leave like nothing happened when I felt a presence standing behind me. I could already smell his scent invading my nostrils.  “a-a-a,” I can feel him smiling evilly. “Leaving too early again, miss Del Real?”  My heart beat accelerated more and more as I think of something to say.  “But I could use you like you said.” I added with my face devoid of emotions.He was about to say something when I raised my hand to stop him. “I need to think.” I said and looked towards the food in front of me absentmindedly. I saw his hand slide on the table and place a piece of paper, which I presume is his calling card. “Call me, but I hope it won’t take long.” he said and rose. I looked at him blankly.“The party is two weeks from now. We need to talk about how we’re gonna act or how our story started and anything about that. We need our answers to sync.” he said coldly and walked past where I seat.I didn’t move an inch because of thinking. He’s right. I need him. I shouldn’t show people that I’m that vulnerable. But why does he need me, anyway? I mean, why do I need to show up as his fiancé? 

 When I reached home, I went directly to my room. I placed the contract on my study table. I plan on reading every word on that paper later. Well, I don’t really know if I should really trust that brute. But I’ll give it a chance since I’d also be benefiting from this idea.I went to the bathroom to take a shower. As the water run down my body, passing through every curve of it, I closed my eyes. How can the face of the man who broke my heart still manage to stay in it. I really hate the fact that every broken piece still beats for the person who caused it to shatter.You really can’t dictate your heart to stop loving, nor force it to love someone.I opened my eyes and shook my head furiously. I can’t go on like this every time he creeps into my mind. He’s happy with Coreen right now, Reese. I told myself.I should really stop thinking about him this way.

 I just sat there, looking out the window. Weirdly, an insignificant amount of guilt tugged my heart as I think about what has just happened earlier.Well, yes, I got so shocked and it was like the utmost terrifying thing that could happen to a person, but it wasn’t, and I couldn’t think of other ways to react to it. I shouted at him as if he was the stupidest person in the world.Just realizing how disgraceful my initial reaction was, I wanted to be swallowed by this seat immediately.Argh! Why did I even decide to get into this stupid car!But then again, I cannot show remorse. I’d rather die than apologize about it. Duh!I mean, I know that what I did was wrong, but it wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t grab my arm! He should be the one to apologize. Ah, yes, yes, he should apologize, and not the other way around. The voice in my mind induced.
