19 - Destroy Her to Bits & Pieces
Away from the entrance and at the farthest corner of the cafeteria, Care and Eli settled in. They sat across each other on the table not that it matters since the little number of students around have a world of their own. The wall clock behind cashier counters suspended on 9:00 a.m. sharp implied an idle time for the business. Even so, an unspoken agreement seemed to forge between them: the careless physical contact must not happen again. She sneaked glances at him who chewed on his veggie and rice without pauses. Either he must really be starving or just speeding up to attend class, she concluded. A hand clutched her heart to the extent of being unable to feign ignorance. She stood up before he noticed the change of emotion her eyes conveyed. "Ara..." his voice trailed off as the realization hit him.

20 - You're My Kind of Peace & Quiet
Yes, this is the kind of relationship that exists between them. The woman she called mother stared at her the same way the masses glowered at a convicted murderer. Her hatred could easily be felt by her mere breathing and Care had to live with that fact everyday.  It hurts, she wanted to cry out. Although she is confused what part of her ached greater. Was it her heart yearning for mother's love or her cheek swollen from the slap given by the same woman she begged affection for? "All those years, you put up a good act. So WHAT!? Oblivious of her surroundings, a man grabbed the golden opportunity to wrap his arm around her shoulders then treaded alongside her. She wriggled in protest only inciting him to tighten his hold.  "HANDS OFF!" She spat. "Heard you'd sleep with anyone if I do your bidding. She declared.  They did go out before things went awry. This is the second time Care saw Mandy manifest her violent tendencies. It was honestly alarming.
