Mike pressed harder, finishing with the cleaning of the wound and Jesse clenched his teeth, obviously  doing his best not to let out a sound. Mike acted before he could have thought better. He was already walking through the exit, and by now it was too late for everything- to change his mind, to get back inside, to do something, anything, whatever….
