Alee's POVI walked down the hall in Mason's private cottage in the woods. He told me that he had built the cottage for he and his mate to stay at after performing the alpha-luna ritual - the ritual that will make me Luna of his pack. It's like a honeymoon after marriage but I hadn't registered what he was talking about because he was dragging Minty by the arm. My anger got the better of me and I yelled at him and told him to carry Minty the proper way. He wanted to apologize and I called him a pervert. How could he be talking about our honeymoon while he shot my sister with eight bullets filled with wolfs bane.He was quiet after that. Later that night, I woke up with a start. I sat up on the futon Jo gave me to sleep for the night. Jo lay sprawled out on her bed and I think Matthew was snoring. It might have been Rabel but for some reason, I couldn't imagine Rabel snoring in her sleep. I got up and went to the bathroom. Splashing water on my face, I raised my mouth. I looked in the mirror above the washbasin and saw something blurry. I wondered what it was.
