*Scott's POV*It's been two months now and my dad hasn't come back home since he was assigned a really major duty in Afghanistan. This is how hard it is to be the child of a military father. He hardly comes home, and when he does, he stays for a while and any minute I always know he'd get a call of duty and that he'd leave again. I had really waited for him to come home the last time he called, but plans changed. He couldn't come.Another thing that's bothering the hell out of me is the fact that Kyrah, no longer wants anything to do with me, or anyone else. All her time is spent with Blake. It's like we're all invisible to her. I never liked Blake since the very first day I saw and I never will. He's made Kyrah a totally different person. She's now forgotten about all her friends and any time he calls her, she runs to him like he's her savior. I hate that. I really hate that! That thought makes me squeeze my fists in anger. It's Friday afternoon and I am

Kyrah's POV Blake and I arrive at an elegant restaurant and we are welcomed warmly at the entrance. After we confirm our table, the receptionist shows us where it is and we thank her. I am in wedges and a knee-length pink floral dress with a brown clutch bag. I may be wearing a dress which has a bubbly color, but deep down I feel like crap today. I fake a smile when the waiter arrives at  our table with the menu. "Hello, this is our menu. I'll be back for your order in a few," he says in a deep French accent."Bring us two glasses of wine, please. When you get back," Blake says and the waiter nods firmly, turning on his heel to leave.I start playing around with my nails absently until Blake brings me back from la-la land by touching my hands across the table."Has anyone wronged you? If it's me, just let me know. You look troubled, Kyrah," Blake says as he eyes me keenly. "No, babe. It's not you, I am a little off moo

Kyrah's POVThe moment Blake and I arrive at the prison, I spot Roxy and next to her is Vic, Scott, my mom and a person I assume is Scott's dad. I run as fast as I can to her, trying to focus on my steps, careful not to fall because of my wedges.I call out her name a couple of times but all she's doing is blankly looking at me. From the looks of things, all her energy has been depleted. "Roxy, I am so sorry I–" I begin but her reaction makes me stop talking. She stands up from her seat and begins to walk away as if I wasn't even talking to her. Like a zombie, she's walking away, without a word. She doesn't even dare to look back and heads for the large double door, giving Blake a look of disgust.I turn to face my mom and she's busy scowling at Blake, I turn to Scott and he has his eyes focused on Blake too. Vic is wiping his tears with the hem of his shirt and then Scott's dad's face looks more familiar now. I've seen him on TV

My vision is becoming blurry by the minute and every single building seems to be moving too close to me. I can barely breathe and sweat trickles down my forehead. My throat is as dry as a desert. My chest feels tight. This is not the place to faint. One of the men, the head of the group, or so I assume, moves closer to me. His eyes are bloody red and one eye is twitching on and off like a light bulb. Blake is on the other side struggling to get to me and his anger can clearly be detected."Don't touch her!" He yells and the man turns to him and laughs, a very terrifying laugh. Then he turns back to me."It's either you're the cops or the cops sent you or–"I cut him off. "I'm looking for someone.""Wonderful! Well you can't go through without the code," he bellows and stares down at me keenly. Damn it! I can't seem to focus on my thoughts and breathing at the same time."She's struggling to

The loud music is probably the reason why they haven't noticed me yet until I yell. "Music stop!" And the girls' giggles fill the air and when they turn to me, they smile. Blake's face looks like he's seen a ghost. He pushes the girls aside and drunkenly tries to step out of the jacuzzi, sliding a few times. His black shorts are dripping water on the marble floor. "Care to join us?" one of the girls with ash brown hair giggles and slides her tongue ring between her white teeth making the most horrendous rattling, that's worse than nails on a chalkboard. I scowl at her, crossing my arms around my torso. I huge lump is forming on my throat already, making it hard to swallow my saliva. When Blake gets to me, his feet wobbling like jelly, he speaks. "Baby–" I cut him off. My palm held in front of his face. "Don't you 'baby' me!" I hiss. Anger taking over my entire body. "What is the meaning of this? Who
