THE SUPRISE !
Hey lady! I will pay.” I turned to see who was stopping me from paying for the things. I had bought it from the mall; it became my wonderful friend, my messiah! The one that had saved me twice from me, Paul. Paul was looking fresh, with his well-tailored suit, slim, tall, confident, he wore the most attractive smile I have ever seen, I was shocked to see him, yet excited, before I could realize what was happening, I had rushed into the arms of the one, I had loved. We embraced for a very long time. He held on to me and of course, I wanted it so, rocking and patting me like a little sister. He looked at me and I did the same. We both laughed and laughed. It was a big surprise.“What are you doing in this place, Paul?” I asked, “I should be asking you, you know?” he replied. I told him how I came there to serve the nation. “Wow! Isn’t it interesting, that you came to meet me here?” He was actually in the town as a manager of an orga

THE CONFUSION
Insomnia! Yes, I had insomnia. I could not sleep for days. I was simply not myself. I called my office to inform my superior of my health issue. I was given sick leave. I made sure my phone was off so that I would not be tempted to speak with anybody. I wanted to be alone.Suddenly, I heard a knock on my door. I got up to open the door, only to see Demola. I managed to greet him because I was giddy and felt imbalance and before I could turn around, I saw myself on the floor.Demola was taken by surprise, he picked me up from the floor like a small baby and set me properly on the sofa. I needed to take water, for I felt weak to talk, I had to use my hand to talk. He quickly went to the kitchen, boiled water, and gave me a hot tea. He was able to find his way around. He prepared the tea the way I loved it. It gave me enough strength. I appreciated his coming, sipping my tea. My strength returned having taken two slices of buttered bread and a very hot tea.“How we

TWISTED
CHAPTER THIRTEENTWISTEDMy heart yearned more for Paul. The thought of us going on a special date filled my heart. I long for him to hold me in his hands and take me to the top of the mountains and take me back. I concluded that I love Paul. I was still thinking about him when he came knocking. I had been lost in thinking that I forgot to dress for the night. I opened the door for him and asked him to wait some minutes. “You mean you are not dressed up?” Paul exclaimed. “I’m sorry Paul, I’ll soon be here, give me just ten minutes,” I said. “Okay. I guess I have no choice but to wait. After all, it’s your night, I’m all yours.” He said. “Thanks, love,” I gave him a peck on his cheeks. “if you continue this way, we may end up not going,” he said lovingly, touching the cheek I pecked. “Almost done dressing,” I shouted from the bedroom. I must look my best, thank God I had go

THE RESOLVE
My phone rang, “why did you walk out of me yesterday? When you were passing through your lowest ebb, I was right there with you. Couldn’t you have stayed with me? Yes, I goofed, but I never meant to, j-just that I couldn’t help thinking of you. Do you blame a man for falling for someone who never and will never care? I tried to prove my love for you but you have been treating it as nothing. I have come to terms with the fact that you love Paul and it’s only Paul you want and will never want. You are free to follow your heart. I do not want to come in between you again.” I wanted to talk but Demola stopped me and said, “Do you think I need your pity? No! No! Never. I mean you are free to go to your Paul.” He hung up. I kept on thinking of what to do. Paul had resolved not to marry me but we would just be friends. Now Demola too was giving up on me. What do I do now?I had to make a call to Janet, I told her my dilemma. Janet is now marri

ANOTHER WOMAN
“Who is Demola? “I was woken up in the voice of my colleague. I slept off because I was thinking about Paul and Demola. He woke me up because I kept on saying: it's Demola I want. He was asking me who Demola was. “Demola is a dear friend of mine: I replied, “That means you are in love with him. Good, make sure you tell him, please. He answered.” And who told you he is not aware”. I responded. I doubt if he knows, there is a way you were shouting his name that indicated he may not be aware, tell him” that what was he replied me. I asked myself again “who is Demola? To which I replied: Demola is a guy I’m beginning to fall in love with. He is handsome, intelligent, and knows how to care for a woman, what else? He works in a good establishment, he can take care of me, “But is he born again, is he converted from the system of the world? If I marry him, will the marriage last? Doesn’t he womanize? Those were the thoughts g

YOU AGAIN
“How much do I pay you so that you leave my man alone?” that was Mabel calling me using another phone. I was able to recognize her voice. It’s a little bit deep and distinct. “are you hearing me, don’t hang up on me. I’m asking for a deal with you to show how much I value Demola Brown. Hello! Can you hear me, are you still there?.” I kept quiet thinking of what to say, but words weren’t coming out. When she was fed up, she cut the call herself.Demola later called asking me if I’ve taken my lunch, I told him I’ve not but about to. He told me to wait for him that he was coming to pick me up in the office. He came in and we went to our usual restaurant. He noticed that I was unusually quiet DEMOLA: what’s on your mind, my sweet?JENNIFER: Nothing serious, don’t bother.DEMOLA: if you do not tell me, how would I know what troubles you? He came to my side and planted a soft kiss

GREAT SUCCESS
“It’s a great success baby! Demola held me by the waist close to him.” “I’m happy for you my love. The program was a huge success and everyone was excited. Indeed it was wonderful. I made sure I attended the fair show. A lot of dignitaries turned up, different politicians, Chief executive officers, Media personalities, and numerous people too many to mention. The designers were impeccable, brought out assorted designers to fit the taste of the people, casual, formal, dinner dresses. What amazed me was the use of the fabric called Ankara. It was mixed with other materials to make these varieties of dresses. It was wow! Wow! I mean pretty wow! It took my breath away. The models were good. Took their time to showcase the designs to the admiration of the people. People cheered and clapped. It was a funfair display of wonderful designers. After the display of designers, they had lots of them already for purchase. They sold almost all the clothes. It was show

Louisa was one of the new models. She had not been contaminated by Mabel like the others. She is gentle, well reserved, and had a good relationship with others. She is easygoing so the staff had a good liking for her because she was never like the others in attitude. God's attitude is important in an organization. It helps them achieve much more. A good attitude promotes unity and unity brings great progress. She was the favorite model of the organization. She made a call to me to meet in one of the salons in town. She told me she loved my disposition and wants us to be friends. She promised to go to the salon and do her hair after, we will sit to talk. In the restaurant first, I kept on wondering how she got my number and why does she want to be my friend. I became suspicious of this new development. The salon had a restaurant attached to it. I never told Demola, I chose to go. She had just finished her hair and we went to the restaurant and exchanged all plea
