10. A Visit to the Vet
Two hours after returning from the beach, Annabelle was driving her car to Bayswater town with the windows down. Chucky was on the passenger seat, his head half protruding out of the window, pink tongue lolling adorably from his gaping jaw. She had music blaring from the speakers, singing off-tune to a rock song by Green Day, her blonde hair flying wildly.  They needed to replenish their rations and she also wanted the vet to take a look at Chucky’s injuries. The laceration on Chucky’s side had magically disappeared this morning and the dog is surprisingly active, making her wonder if she had imagined his injuries when she brought him home yesterday.  Ten minutes later, she parked her car in an empty bay in front of the veterinarian’s office. She opened the door and walked in, Chucky following closely behind her footsteps like a shadow. From he

11. Meeting Arch, Trav, Jughead and Roman
To Annabelle’s surprise, the four strangers paused directly in front her. Her pulse jumped, not in fear, rather in nervous anticipation. Instead of intimidating her, their athletic figure and rugged looks made her heart flutter. At five feet six inches, Annabelle did not consider herself tiny but the guys were almost a foot taller, causing her to crane her neck to meet their gazes. One of them took a step forward and she drooled internally. He is possibly the most gorgeous man that she has ever met.  “Hello. I don’t know your name but I am sure it’s as beautiful as you are.” The stranger gave her a dazzling smile and she couldn’t help but return with one of her own. “I'm Archimedes and you can call me Arch.” Arch had smooth expresso skin, almond shaped brown eyes, full lips and a wide, engaging smile. He had a deep baritone voice, two dimples peeking at her as he smiled and boyish good looks.  His eyes flickered with int

12. Nari Locates Romeo
“What the hell, Chucky?!” Annabelle screeched after Chucky had removed himself from Arch. Without even the slightest remorse, Chucky huffed and turned his face away, sulking. “I am very disappointed with you!” She wagged her finger at the wolf, anger lacing her words.  Chucky almost killed Arch and luckily they were there to stop him. He growled angrily in response, perhaps defending himself but Annabelle didn’t speak wolf, so she ignored him. She marched quickly to her car and slammed the door behind her, deciding it would be best for her to return to the beach house. She was putting the gears in reverse when Roman suddenly opened the passenger door and deposited Chucky in the seat. Apparently, Chucky the wolf with anger management issues is going back home wit

13. Annabelle Meets Romeo
Bayswater Beach Annabelle Aoki   I had arrived home a couple of hours ago, fuming at Chucky's sudden violent outburst and I decided to give him a piece of my mind. He may be a wolf but if he wants to stay with me, he should not be randomly attacking people, at least not under my watch. So before I went off to sleep, I gave him an ultimatum, behave or be homeless. And now when I opened my eyes, I discover that I am dreaming. I don’t know whether it was the fact that my feet are translucent or that I am standing on the beach in my sleepwear, not feeling cold despite the wind furiously lapping on my skin. Besides, no one in their right mind wears a red negligee in the middle of the night, duri

14. Visiting Bayswater Packhouse
I woke up the next morning with a migraine pounding in my head, causing me to groan in irritation. Squeezing my eyes and rubbing my temples, I leaned back into the pillow cursing the mysterious stranger who invaded my dream last night. It's not enough that I'm stuck with a temperamental wolf as a housemate, now I have strange men sneaking into my dreams while I sleep. A smile ghosted my lips as my mind conjured an image of the man that I met for the first time last night.  Alpha Romeo, the famous guardian of the black onyx stone. He's more attractive that I thought, with his refined looks, athletic build and charismatic aura, exuding both power and strength. What enthralled me the most are his obsidian eyes, pulling you into the depths of his stare, holding you captive. I had to steel myself and feign sangfroid, despite my heart beating erratically, merely by being in

15. Another Stone Guardian
I stilled, incredulity streaming on my face at her brazen proposal. "You dare to threaten me?" I derided, my eyes narrowing in disdain. Did she honestly think that she could intimidate me into accepting her pathetic deal?  My own stone pulsated on my neck, reacting to the anger coursing through my veins. Just like Romeo's black onyx stone, my stone is an extension of me. It serves to protect and amplify my powers and right now, it is channelling and amplifying my wrath. My skin tingled as my magic pooled, forming into a red halo behind me. The Alpha's bedroom was bathed in crimson light as my powers grew. I smirked when I saw Lucy's face morphing in terror, her body cowering in fear. "Be mindful who you make deals with

16. A Second Encounter with Romeo
Bayswater Beach Romeo Price   We returned from the packhouse a couple of hours ago and since then, Annabelle has been uncharacteristically quiet. I don’t know what had happened during the tour with my mum but the visit changed her. She is not as candid as she was before. And tonight, she retired immediately to the bedroom, telling me that she's tired and needs her rest. Perhaps, we’ve shocked her. She’s not from our kind and yet she was pulled into our mess the moment she found me at the beach. Now, she doesn’t have a choice but to see this through.  I glanced at her sleeping form and waited for twenty minutes. The black onyx stone on her neck pulsed and I closed my eyes, entering into her dream state. When I opened my eyes, I was surprised to find that we were not on the beach. Somehow tonight, her mind had chosen the packhouse

17. Sebastian Wolfe
Moonstone Pack Lands   The Alpha’s bedroom was dark, save for one single light shining from a table lamp near the bed. Pillows were strewn haphazardly by the foot of the bed, long forgotten. Two naked bodies were moving in sync, one had her legs up in the air as the other increased his speed, pumping furiously. Sweat coated their bodies, their expressions ruptured with wanton. Moans reverberated in the bedroom, both grunting in pleasure as they neared their climax.  “Sebastian, please..." The woman pleaded desperately, her nails making half-moon indentations as she dug into his back. Her body trembled with desire, writhing, the pressure building to a point that she's almost bursting with pleasure. "Oh Sebastian, yes!" She screamed as her back arched, toes curling, seeing stars as her bo

18. A Hidden Switch
Bayswater Beach   The next morning, Annabelle woke up to the phone ringing incessantly in her ear. She groaned in protest, her hands clawing cluelessly around the bed as she kept her eyes closed. Her fingers touched the cool surface of her phone and moments later she heard a distinct thump, the damned phone had fallen to the floor. The ringing stopped and Annabelle sighed in relief. Just as she was returning to slumber, the ringing restarted. This time followed by a loud voice booming in her head. "Oh for the love of God! Would you just ANSWER the BLOODY PHONE!" Romeo's voice resounded in her brain causing her body to automatically sit bolt upright on the bed.  She blinked in confusion, her min

19. Underground Library
Annabelle stood up and stared at the now gaping wall in astonishment. Her eyes traversed over the surface, where a one meter gap now exists. The wooden panel that mounted the television along with the wall behind it had slanted to the side, revealing a darkened and mysterious staircase. A hidden doorway is camouflaged behind the wooden panel, making it appear to be part of the wall. She couldn't discern a knob near the opening so she presumed there must be a concealed mechanism that opens and closes the secret entryway. "How on earth did you do that, Jughead?" She inquired, her feet moving soundlessly towards the aperture that had suddenly appeared. The book that she was reading lay on the sofa, completely forgotten. Jughead scratched his head in embarrassment, looking perplexed. "I slipped and almost fell. When
