41. More than just a Secretary
Just as they were about to walk up to see the old Michaelson, they were all shaken by a loud sound. Brianna quickly jumped at Lucien to cover him. She can tell it was a bomb. She quickly looked around to check from which direction did the sound came from. "Damn it!" She grunted. "I should have checked him thoroughly."Brianna saw the guy she painstakingly brought for questioning blow himself off. He must have had a bomb hidden in his body for instances like he was in. Brianna overlooked that idea when she saw the cyanide. She thought that was the only thing the guy had with him to commit suicide, avoiding torture and questioning. She just realized they would never allow such things to happen if they had any chances. "I should have questioned him first," she knocked her head. Lucien was still beneath her as she secured the place for any other invasion before she stood up and grabbed the bag with everything she picked for

42. Fate Playing Its Part
"It's a shame I didn't get to meet her today," Leandro Michaelson grunted in disappointment as he waited for Lucien to get into his study room. The old Michaelson was looking so much forward to meeting Anna. But when he saw how persistent she was to leave and hunt those that had been chasing them ever since this morning, seeing how she even pointed a gun and made a warning shot to Tatum Elliot, the Mafia King was convinced this girl was not someone to be taken lightly. Leandro should be scared, noticing she is too capable despite her gender, despite her petite, very feminine physique and beauty. But seeing and realizing that she was after the jackasses who wanted to harm his grandson, he could not oppose. As a matter of fact, he did not want to disagree. He even refused to be against the idea. Her victory or failure will benefit his grandson, one way or another. Besides, he did not give the order. She was the one dead set on going after the enemy. He could make it

43. Grateful and Hateful
Brianna seemed to know exactly where to go and hunt her enemies. She swiftly arrived at a neighborhood where no one would ever have even the single doubt that a group of assassins for hire are living like every ordinary individual in the community. She parked her car from a distance and waited till dark covered the place. She cannot barge in with a clear view of her, walking into the building. As she waited, she also tried to familiarize herself with the possible ways she could make to enter the place of her target. It was a five-floor building. The first floor is a convenience store. The rest of the floors were studio-type rooms for rent according to the signage on the front wall of the building. But Brianna doubts that the room for rent sign is just a front, or maybe, it's an old signboard that these assassins did not bother to remove when they got the place for themselves. Brianna paused for a while."Why do I seem to know so much ab

44. Shaken Lucien
Brianna moved according to her plans. She skillfully moved from the rooftop of the building she got into. It was early in the evening. Residents inside their homes must have been busy preparing for their respective dinners while working people must still be on their way home that the coast was clear for Brianna to get to where she was heading. She used the fire exit stairway to avoid the surveillance camera in the hallways and inside the lift. It is common for some residents who live on the lower floors to take the stairs than wait for the elevator, so it wouldn't have been too catchy if she chose the stairs to climb up. "Send men to follow her carefully. If they need to do as she does, do it," Lucien ordered. "Do we have any idea how many people are present in the target area?" "Negative, Sir," Tatum replied. "We have no way to check the number of people inside the building of target. And our men will enter the building from different directions

45. Direct Order
Jack was still waiting for Brianna and Lucien Michaelson to come back ever since they left, thinking they just went to have their lunch when Charles Anderson made a call. But he felt alarmed with the cruel old man's threat towards Brianna that he went home to his control room. It is a room filled with different screen monitors, which Jack uses to check everything and every angle of the areas he is trying to view. And right now, he was so desperate more than ever to find his little sister Brianna Peters. He needs to warn her that Charles might give an order to put a bullet on her head if she keeps blowing their missions off. Jack Foster did not know where or how to find her, but he still has to try. "Oh God, help me find B as soon as possible," Jack folded his hands atop his nose as he closed his eyes and solemnly prayed. Not that he is a religious person, but he felt like he absolutely needed a miracle right now. He must have put heart, the purest portion of his h

46. A Clear Warning
Everyone in the room did not dare chase her. The men surrounding Charles checked on him where he got shot. The team leader was frightened to realize that the bullet hit the man only an inch to his heart! He knew because that is one of their skills. As mercenaries, they are to know the fatal points of their targets. And he was sure that shot was an unequivocal warning. She said her piece and made a clear proof she wasn't just kidding around. Had she wanted to kill Charles, there was no stopping her from shooting the old man right into his heart, but she still left an inch to keep him alive. They are almost convinced she was the Big B, Boss B, that they knew. They have never seen her face clearly as she would always wear a cap covering almost half her face whenever they are all together. She would cover her face with black paint when they are on a mission that even without a cap, she is unrecognizable. But today, they saw a face with her hair neatly tied

47. Digging the Past
Jack did not let Brianna out of his virtual sight. He followed every camera that he could hack into to keep track of her. He needed to know where she was going and where she was staying these days. He needs to get in touch with her to keep her safe from Charles Anderson's every possible attack. Jack cannot directly go against his father, but he can always find a way to assist Brianna in everything she does as long as they have a way to communicate. Jack was nervous when he saw Brianna was driving in the direction that, according to the geographical map in his system, it says that she is heading to Leandro Michaelson's mansions. It was a path with a vast empty land from the gates. They will have enough time to identify whoever is coming through their surveillance cameras along the way. She would never have any chance of walking into the Lion's lair if she used the main entrance, although it was already dark in the evening, to get in if she was planning to attack.&n

48. United
As Jack has had in mind, he called the mercenaries' team leader, Blake Gordon."Blake, it's me, Jack.""Hey, did you know what happened?" Blake asked. No one other than Charles and Jack knew about their blood relations, so other thought Jack was only one of them, but he is in the IT area. "Can I have a word with you, alone?" Jack asked with a firm tone. Blake would understand his message Jack was pretty sure of it."I have been thinking about doing the same thing," Blake replied.Blake wanted to ask Jack to help locate their families being held by Charles as his threat for his team to execute this last mission. 49. Crazy Issues
Brianna arrived at Leandro Michaelson's mansion with Lucien already waiting for her by the door. She gathered they must have known her arrival ever since she reached the gates. Tatum Elliot arrived only a few minutes after Brianna, and he quickly moved out from his ride and sat on the driver seat of the car Brianna just emptied as she got off to meet Lucien by the door. "Let's go home," Lucien greeted Anna this way as soon as he got close enough to talk to her. "You must be hungry. Let me take you to dinner. What would you like to have?" Lucien walked towards the vehicle where Tatum was already waiting by the driver's seat, still in his mission gear, waiting for Anna and his boss to get in and leave the mansion."Anything would do, sir," Brianna answered casually. "But I do need to buy things and comfortable clothes." She was wearing the hooded shirt she grabbed with only the bodysuit beneath it."Let's eat first, then we'll

50. Exceptions
Before the old Michaelson could even calm down from his engulfing anger towards his stubborn assistant, Enzo, the youngest IT in the team, called for their attention. "I got her file. Not much, but I got what there is to find," the guy with Anthony on his ID sheepishly stated. "Show me," Leandro Michaelson answered instantly. He did not mind what the guy just said about not having much. He was too eager to care and too keen to know anything there is about this impressive girl. An A4 file with details filled the widescreen right in front of Leandro, and he meticulously checked almost every letter on every word written on the file. But to his great disappointment, the file only has her name, age, academic records, phone number, and home address. But as the written name was Brianna Peters, Leandro did not realize that Anna was Brianna. The person with the name Brianna Peters which Charles Anderson had blurted out when Anna appeare
