Alexia answered the door as soon as she heard the doorbell chime. Marty promised to her that he will come to her condo after he finishes his business. Before sunup, Marty woke up. He felt a soft hand beneath his shirt wrapped around his chest. It suddenly dawned on him that he slept in Cassandra’s bed and the woman beside him was Cassandra. Waking up with Cassandra beside him, Marty felt like his heart would burst with joy. He looked at the woman who was asleep next to him. Her face flushed and looked innocent and beautiful. He couldn't hold himself back anymore. He bent over and kissed her lips so gently that he would not awaken her. He relished the moment and embraced Cassandra while she slept.  About five minutes later, he reluctantly rose from bed. He took his shoes from the shoe rack, he keenly observed that it was placed next to Cassandra's shoes. This made him happier thinking that they were like real couple sharing their space with each other. 

The kiss lasted several minutes, all of a sudden Marty unlocked their lips. Cassandra was befuddled why he stopped kissing her. “Babe?” Marty hugged Cassandra, she could hear Marty’s heart beating wildly. Cassandra looked up at Marty, her eyes searching for an answer, but Marty's eyes were shut. "Is everything okay, baby?" asked Cassandra. “It’s getting late, babe. I should be going. While having lunch, Marty observed Cassandra avoiding eye contact with him. After eating, Marty went to the patio and looked at the photo album that is still on top of the table. He had the intuition that Cassandra's present condition had something to do with the pictures.  He took the photo album that is on top and flipped through it. He saw his photos with his ex - fiancee. He gritted his teeth because of seething anger. Why was his photo with his ex - fiancee still kept? He called a maid and instructed her to burn the photos of him and his ex - fiancee.  Memories of the past crossed his mind, all the pain he felt became fresh again. It is like peeling the scab from a wound that is starting to heal. He feels like his heart is going to explode at any moment. Marty closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
