CHAPTER 11
"M-Mr. Montevardo, can you please...center Ms. Zamora?" hesitantly and apprehensively said by the photographer. "Mrs.," Valjerome whispered emphatically and did the other way around. He pulled me closer to his body. I unconsciously sighed for him to look at me. "Val, this is a triple shoot. Our pose for this is I should be in between you and Chaos, not only by your side," I simply murmured. I felt Valjerome's grip tightened on my hip. He slightly bent over to my ear to whisper. "I will kill him before he touches you," he grinned. I shrove unbelievably. I don’t know if I should be afraid of what he does or rejoice to the attention he is giving me. And because I’m totally stupid, I prefer to do the second. Maybe it's not wrong to expect, right? "This shoot won't end, Val. Only just for now.

CHAPTER 12
It was already twelve o'clock midnight but Valjerome hasn’t returned home yet. He left after the commotion earlier in the living room. He always gets angry but this was the first time he acted like this so I couldn't help but worry for him. For countless times, I can’t be comfortable with my position on the bed. I sighed as I stared at the ceiling, not knowing if it was because I was worried that I couldn't sleep or because I got too used to being next to him. For more than a month that the two of us have been close, he has been sleeping in my room. Even though I wanted to ask him, I just ignored it and be happy with what he was doing. Maybe he's trying to fix our marriage, but he doesn't have the guts to tell me. When I can’t fall asleep, I decided to get up and go to the kitchen for a drink. "Hmmm…what do we have here?" I whispered as I looked

CHAPTER 13
"It's just so unfair," Azy murmured behind my back as the stylist straightened my hair. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow from the reflection of the mirror. "When we're stressed, our faces look ugly. But if it is as beautiful as you, just with a smear of foundation, boom! You are a goddess again," he stated. I just rolled my eyes and ignored him. This will be one of those days where he will just notice and criticize my every action. "Are you okay?" he inquired, there was concern and seriousness in his tone as he stared at me from the mirror. I forced a smile. Am I okay? "Yeah," I sparingly answered. It's been two weeks since that argument. He didn't seem to believe it, but he never tried to ask for more. "Ahmm. Will he...pick you up?" he asked afterward.

CHAPTER 14
"Just chill, Jazzie," I talked to myself. I sighed numerous times while staring at the square pregnancy test. I am currently in the bathroom and waiting for the result to come out from the tester. I bit my lower lip when the red mark appeared. I unconsciously held the sink and stared at my reflection in the mirror. What should I do? I don’t know what I should feel at these times. I was confused¾overwhelmed and nervous. "Aren't you done there yet?" I heard Valjerome's talking from the outside. I firmly held the pregnancy test and then walked towards the door. I slowly turned the doorknob until our eyes met as soon as I opened it. He's sitting on my bed¾arm crossed and emotionlessly stared at me. I felt pain in my chest because I didn’t even see him as happy as I read in books. But what would I ex

CHAPTER 15
I woke up from a gentle caress on my cheek. Even though I kept my eyes closed, I knew that Valjerome's presence was on my side based on the mixed scent of wine and his perfume. He didn't speak. He just kept stroking my face as if he's memorizing every part of it. Even though I want to be angry with him, I'm more consumed by weakness. What can my anger do? I stiffened when I felt him crouched on my belly. He laid his head on it and then gently caressed my stomach. I simply bit my tongue and tried to hold back my tears. I want to believe that he is feeling guilty. I want to believe in what he is currently showing. But I know I was only fooling myself. Valjerome remained in his position for more minutes until he slowly moved away from me. I felt him stood up then carefully carried me. He then started walking. I had

"Jazzie," our supervisor called. I quickly put down the towel I was holding and approached her. "Yes, ma'am?" I spoke politely while bowing a little. "The guest has already checked out at suite six. Go there and clean the room for the coming guest," she commanded calmly and handed me the keycard for the room she was referring to. "Alright," I replied sparingly and hurried away with the tools I would need for cleaning. "Jazzie, let me help you," Ken offered as he greeted me in the hallway. Ken is one of my co-workers, I am currently a housekeeper at a five star hotel. This has been my job for almost five years. I smiled sparingly and let him support me with the cleaning tools. "Thank you," I said. "No, it’s fine! It's just a simple thing," he said. I just smiled and walked along with him. A f

CHAPTER 17
"Why don't you just work for my company?" Chaos uttered. I stared at him and then continued to caress the hair of my son who was sleeping soundly on my thigh. "I am okay with my job, Chaos," I replied. We are currently in my condo now. I took my son home after I picked him up from his house earlier. "Why don't you just accept your former manager's offer? You are pushing yourself too hard on that job, Jazzie," he said. My lips twisted. I turned my gaze to the other side of the sofa. “I already have a child, Chaos,” I remind her. "And?" I sighed and shook my head. "Being a model is also like being an actress. Many will get curious to look deeper in your personal life. If I come back, they will definitely ask why I suddenly disappeared then," I explained. “What now if they find out

CHAPTER 18
"Erom," I softly woke up my son. He let out a whimper and then slowly opened his little eyes. I automatically greeted him with a smile. "Get up, son. We will get ready for school," I said while massaging his hair. Erom is five years old so he is currently attending Kindergarten. My son raised his hands in the air. "Hug, Mommy," he said. I chuckled and pinched his tiny nose. "My baby is so sweet as always,” I said then I bent down to hug him. "Good morning, my most beautiful mom," he greeted. My heart melted at the simple appraisal of my son. I have always been receiving good criticisms from people who admire me, but it really hits different when it comes from your child. I broke our hug and looked at him. "Hmm. What does my prince need?" He giggled and rose up from the bed. He hugged me agai

CHAPTER 19
"It is not possible, Jazzie. You know that Stacey will scold the both of us," Ken said. "Please. Just three days," I pleaded as I pulled his arm. Maybe he already checked out. We are here in the staff's room where we can rest or relax. "What is the problem that you don't want to accept your duty now?" he frowned curiously. I stopped and looked away. I had been begging Ken for almost ten minutes to take care of the room which was given to me by our supervisor. "I am just not feeling well so I need to rest for few days," I excused myself. "Well, you do seem okay, I guess" Ken immediately said then felt my temperature on my forehead. I began to tantrum and clung to his arm like a child. "Please?" He sighed and combed his hair. "Just for one day, Jazzie. I still can't b

CHAPTER 20
"You don't have work today, Mommy?" Erom inquired in the middle of watching cartoons. I smiled thriftily at him then gently cupped his small face. "I took a leave," I answered. This is the second day I haven’t gone to work. I immediately filed a sick leave to our head manager last time after I peeked at Valjerome’s record in the logbook. He has two check-in days at the hotel so I am sure he won't be there tomorrow at once. "Mom," Erom called that caught my attention. "Yes, my prince?" His earlier vision that was focused on me gradually twitched. "Can I stay with you during weekends, Mom?" softeningly he said. I was stunned and did not immediately say a word. I just stared at my son who didn’t seem to be able to look at me properly. "Is there a problem, son? Don't you like to be in your Dad's company?" I calmly inquired a
