Maeva POV I couldn't stand to look up & face them as I told them my secret. Between Gia & Stella urging me to tell them, I had finally given in, & now that I had told them that Maeva Thompson was an alias, there was no going back. I would have to tell them who I was, consequences be damned. I trusted Ronan to protect me from Rayan if I needed it, but I knew that if it came to that, it would take both of us to subdue him. I really hoped it didn't come to that. "Daniel wasn't my real father, he was my guardian & protector. My real father is dead, he died when I was a baby. My mother sacrificed everything to ensure I had a chance to live. She gave me up so I could, she knew I'd never be safe if anyone knew who I really was. So, my guardian raised me like a normal child, well aside from the warrior training, but he wanted to be sure that I could protect myself if the need were to ever arise." I told them as I stood there with my arms folded across my chest. I never lo

Maeva POV Stella & I woke up for our morning run as we usually did & met Kelsey in the lounge. We laughed at how Isabella acted the night before as we made our way to the woods to begin our run. I was surprised to see my mate & King standing there, just out of sight of the dorms, in the woods waiting for us. He was accompanied by Ronan who didn't look too pleased to be up that early. "Good morning ladies, your grace." Rayan said as he kissed the back of my hand sending tingles straight to my core. "Goodmorning my King, Beta." I answered back with a giggle. He smiled that gorgeous smile of his at me & I felt the heat creep up my neck to my cheeks. I wasn't sure I would ever get used to calling this beautiful creature infront of me my mate. "We thought it would be best if you three started being accompanied by both of us for your morning runs. Not that we don't think you can handle yourselves, but we'd rather not take any chances. So, shall we

Maeva POV Yesterday I unpacked my things & placed them where they would go in Rayan's residence. He was so sweet, he had actually cleared out drawers & closet space for my stuff, & given me shelves in the bathroom for all of my 'girly stuff' as he calls it. He hasn't said anything about it, but I can see it in his eyes that how little I own bothers him. He doesn't understand though. I may be a princess, but I wasn't raised as one. He was raised by Queen Amelia herself to be King, so he has always known the best that life has to offer. I, however, was raised to be a warrior, & we live off of very little. He said that being his Queen would change all that, that soon enough I would have more things than I could possibly ever need. I could only laugh at the thought, I mean, if I'll never need it, why should I have it? But, whatever makes my King happy, & apparently, spoiling me will make him happy. He cooked me a delicious meal last night. Pork loin with asparagus & mashed p

Maeva POV I woke up freezing cold. I still couldn't feel Gia, so I knew they were keeping wolfsbane in my system. Fuck. Well, I guess I would have to depend on my brains & skills to get me out of this, since my wolf strength wouldn't be available. I had no idea where I was, but I couldn't feel anyone through the mindlink, so I was on my own. I knew that though, mindlinking is a wolf ability. The was a female coughing & groaning from the otherside of the room, she sounded worse than I felt. I had no idea who she was, but I instantly felt bad for her. How long had she been here? Why was she here? Where even was here? Perhaps she could help me escape, or I guess I would help her escape? I wasn't too sure about anything, except for the fact that my head was pounding, & that I was locked in a basement of some sort, with absolutely no light source. I couldn't help but wonder what Clay had planned for me, since obviously he was quite angry. He had never locked me up anywhe

Genevieve POV (Maeva's POV will be under her real name, Genevieve from this point forward) I woke up to the setting sun streaming a beautiful light pink light into the room. This place was absolutely beautiful. I had never been anywhere besides Red Clay & Peacekeeper territory before, so this was definitely a new experience for me. There was a knock on the door shortly after I woke, so I opened it with a smile. A fae girl named Lily came to get me for dinner, & we walked through the halls which were twinkling with sparkling lights. Lily was gorgeous, she had platinum blonde waist length hair, high, shimmered cheek bones & a pointed nose & ears like Crysanthi. The points on her ears weren't nearly as long as Crysanthi's, & had no designs. They were solid green tips. She was much shorter than Crysanthi as well, & slightly shorter than me. She didn't talk to me really, keeping her answers to my questions short. When we got to the dining hall, she opened the door & bo
