Chapter 20
“Hey. Where you boys going?” I called out as they started to walk away.“To our training room. We’ll meet you there.” Ben said.“Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t your Beta tell you not to let me out of your site?” I had to choke down the laugh that was about to erupt out of me when they both looked at each other with shocked looks. “Ya’ll going to get your asses in here or what? I got to change and your wasting time here.”“Your dad did say that, and my dad said it earlier before lunch.” Ben said shrugging his shoulders and walking back in my direction. I thought I heard a growl come from the mystery guy when he grabbed Ben by the shoulder to stop him.“You wait outside the door. I’ll go in.” Mystery guy said. Theory somewhat proven. There was definitely something up with the mystery guy. Either he had major jealousy issues, or he had a problem with out

Chapter 21
Nikolai’s POV We were piecing together information with Cheyenne. For me it was a little awkward working with someone so young, much less the fact that she was an omega. I’ve never met a young omega female that knew as much as she did especially on this particular topic. I had asked a few friends of mine that nobody knew about, to look into what we had been putting together. I was sending them texts as we pieced together major points, such as the locations moving and the 150-year gap, and etc… We were all trying to work together to get as far ahead of this as we could. In the middle of our meeting, my office phone rang. I excused myself from the conference room and went down to my office to take the call. “Alpha, It’s Becka. I need you down here now. I got the results back on that girl’s blood.” “On my way.” Was all I said. I hung up the phone, told the boys and Derek that I had to go but didn’t give them any direction or explanation.

Cheyenne’s POV“Koa? Koa, what’s going on? Where are we?” I had no idea where I was. I couldn’t feel Koa in my head anymore. My eyes fluttering to adjust to the bright light. Once I could keep them open, I scanned my surroundings. I had been here before. “Hello? Anybody there?” The field of wildflowers dancing with the slight breeze that was blowing in from the sea off in the distance. You could still smell the saltiness of it.“Hello sweetheart.” Her soft flowy voice wrapped around me but she was nowhere in sight.“Selene? What…what’s going on? Why am I…here?” I stammered out.“My child, it’s ok. Relax.” I felt her warm soft hands grab my shoulders and slide down my arms to my hands, like she was holding them.“It would ease some tension if I could at least see you. Please?” I asked softly. Selene appeared after a li

Gunner POV Alida Romanov. I kept repeating her name over and over in my head. It had been over 36 hours since my mate vanished into thin air. I didn’t know if she was even alive, I couldn’t feel anything, not even the bond. Alpha Nik did say that a Lycan bond is different than our normal wolf bond. I should’ve known something was up with her when she shifted. She’s not even 18 yet and her wolf was huge, bigger than Maddox or Axle, Ben’s wolf. I’ve never seen a wolf so big before, but goddess was she beautiful. Solid white from head to toe with those sparkling emerald eyes that seems to glow. “Gunner. GUNNER! Snap out of it! She’s trying to come through the bond!” Maddox howling in my head. “I don’t feel anything!” I sat straight up in bed, searching for any feeling of anything at that point inside myself. “I can feel her. Maybe it’s her wolf?” Maddox said questionably. “Ok, let’s umm, let’s just meditate? Focus?” I had no idea

Cheyenne’s POVI was sitting on the bed and had just cut off the connection with Gunner when Koa’s ears perked up.“What is it Koa?” I asked looking around.“Footsteps. Someone’s coming.” She said.I got off the bed on the side furthest from the door. I got in a defensive stance and I could feel Koa pushing forward. The footsteps stopped right outside my door and after a few seconds, the handle twisted and the door opened. I wasn’t sure what I was expecting to see, but it wasn’t what was standing there.Standing on the other side of the threshold, was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Long blonde hair that, if I didn’t know any better, was almost glowing. She had the brightest blue eyes, that reminded me of the clear salt water in Hawaii. She wasn’t muscular or even toned, but she wasn’t by any means overweight either. She was that perfect balance betwe

Chapter 25
Gunner’s POVI was in the middle of the meeting with the Alpha’s, Charlie, my mate’s parents, my dad, and Ben, when I felt the connection being forced through. I opened my mind to let her in but this time it was different. Maddox was actually seeing through Koa’s eyes, which I could see also. There was a man standing in the doorway. I immediately grabbed a pencil and paper and started drawing.“Son what’s…” Dad started to ask, but I held my hand up to quiet him.I went back to sketching the guy as I listened in on their conversation. I was almost done when I figured out that this guy was my mate’s biological father. He was the King of the Lycans. By the time I was done sketching, everybody’s eyes were on me. I slid the paper to Charlie, who took it and, wait…was he smiling?“What is so funny?” I stood up asking him.“My apologies. Your sketch is a

Cheyenne’s POVI was in the process of waking up when Koa started prancing around in my head.“Dude, what’s got you all giddy this morning? We haven’t even had coffee yet. For the love of all things holy, chill for like 5 minutes.” I begged her.“I'm not a dude for starters, and he slept with your shirt last night.” If wolves could grin, she was from ear to ear.“How do you know that? And how did he get my shirt?” I asked.“I couldn’t sleep, so I connected with his wolf and he told me. And you did leave your bag in the locker room when you went running out of the training center.” Koa said matter of factly. My mouth just made the O-shape as I remembered what she was talking about, which brought about another question in my head.“Wait. You said I had to be strong enough to shift. How are we going to continue training and getting stronger so

Chapter 27
Cheyenne’s POV I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on my door. I jumped up not knowing what time it was and thinking I was late to my first day of training. I still had the map across my bed, so I quickly folded it up and shoved it under my mattress but told the person to come in. Bethanie came in with a smile on her face and had a cart loaded with food again for me. “You really don’t think I would eat all of this do you?” I asked with a smile on my face at the amount of food that was on this cart. “I heard you were starting training today, so I wanted to make sure you weren’t going on an empty stomach.” Bethanie just shrugged her shoulders at me. “Well I’m sure that’s not going to happen with all this food here.” I chuckled. I grabbed a huge saucer type bowl and sniffed it. “That would be my creation. I call it the All-In-One.” Bethanie said with the biggest grin on her face. “What’s in it?” I questione

Gunner’s POVOver the past few days, dad has been locked in his office on phone calls with other alphas from packs that surround the locations we had narrowed the list down to. With the time different between everybody, it was hard not to play phone tag with some of them.Ben and I had been putting in extra time at the gym and training. If we weren’t doing either of those, then we were looking over maps and my mate’s notes. We had a meeting with Alpha Brock and Charlie later today and I still haven’t heard from my mate in over 24 hours.Koa would send information as she could to Maddox who would then replay the images to me. From those images and what other information she gave us and the times she would connect with us, we were able to rule out one of the other locations, St. Lucia. So that left us with Scotland and Borneo.“Hey, you did some work in Iceland right?” Ben asked as we were driving to the

Chapter 29
Gunner’s POVBen and I were walking around the college campus and so far all we had gathered is Kira had more or less vanished off the face of the planet. Nobody has seen or heard from her in a week. We had decided to go talk to her advisor to see if she indeed just vanished or if she dropped out of all her classes or maybe she just transferred to online or a different school. Ben was thinking that maybe with Cheyenne missing that it was too much for her and she transferred.“What’s going through that head of yours?” Ben asked as we were walking to the admin building on campus.“Do you think I should tell Cheyenne about Kira missing?” I asked. Maddox and I had been going back and forth on this since we left the packhouse.“Let’s try to figure out what happened to her first. If she really hasn’t gone missing, then there’s no reason to get your mate all worried and worked up for no
