SKYLER'S POV I sigh and make my way around the party, letting the pups and everyone that I pass know that the food is ready and they can help themselves whenever they are hungry. I sit on the back porch, resting my feet for a minute, and watch as Cole continues to play with all the pups. I feel a little guilty and a little sad as I watch him now play and think about what he would have been like with them if that night had gone a different way. I slide my hand over my belly and wonder what he would have been like if he had been with me through Samuel and Emma's pregnancy. I open my mate links as I feel both Elijah and Nathan send down a tug. "Skyler, Elijah, I am on my way back to the packhouse. It was just a small group of rogues that wandered across the border but didn't realise it..." "Okay... I am going to be a little longer as these rogues are here to fight. I currently count at least a dozen running over the border in wolf form... Wi

SKYLER'S POV After my session with Greta and finding out that Alexander and her, are now expecting their first pup. I think back on Samuel and Emma, Marcus and Claire and then the twins I just lost and the joy we all felt at adding to our family, but that memory is now tinged with sadness. So even as the sadness plagues me, not only from losing the twins but as a side effect of the distance I have once again put between me and Cole, I dance around the kitchen as I make lunch and decide on what I will do for dinner. I don't know what the difference was, but I jump and let out a slight scream as 2 arms wrap around me from behind. Terror fills me believing my uncle had returned. Even though I know his king came and got him and that he was executed 2 days after the king returned to his kingdom and territory. Nathan went with him just to make sure he was executed and not just given a warning... "What's going on here?" It isn't until I hear Elija

COLE'S POV I hit the counter with my fist, Xander stepping up next to me as the anger and rage take more of an effect and we snap. "I CAN'T BE HERE... I CAN'T BE THIS CLOSE AND NOT TOUCH HER... I'll be in the barracks if you need me!" I then stormed out of the house and headed over to the barracks. Once there, I walk into Alexander's office and have a look at his patrol map and schedule. Unfortunately, with all the help I had been giving him before, there is nothing here to do. I pace the office for a while trying to bring the anger and rage under some sort of control but it isn't working the only way to make it lesser is to be with Skyler but with just how she reacted there is no way she is letting me close to her, anytime soon. I just hope it doesn't take us too much longer. I am just leaving the office when I see the calendar Alexander has on the wall. I am surprised it has been so long. I walk over to the desk and pick up

COLE'S POV I got back from King Noah's territory a few moments ago and heard the pups outside playing. I walked out the kitchen door and smile at what I see. I then sit down on the porch and watch as Skyler plays with Samuel, Emma, Marcus and Claire. I ponder and still can't believe, even after all this time, that my brothers allowed her to keep both Samuel and Emma as Skyler confirmed to me that they are the result of what I did to her that night. Samuel is so much like me that it is scary sometimes, and Emma, well, she is a spitting image of Skyler in both looks and personality. She will be one strong-willed she-wolf when she grows up. I smile, thinking that if Skyler's mother hadn't been killed, and she wasn't put through all the abuse from her father and brother, she would be a totally different person. As I watch her now, I can see the Alpha/Luna she should have been, but I know that even though what she went through with her family was something no one should h
