61. The Cold Alpha
RAYHAN I hated to see her close in on herself, seeing that vulnerable side of her show through when she faced those wolves. She was strong, and sometimes the fact that she had suffered so much could be forgotten considering how she behaved… But seeing her like this reminded me that she had been to hell and back. I was not going to let them get off so easily. I didn’t miss how one of the guards had stepped forward, and once I sent Delsanra to safety, I was going to make sure Marcel questioned all his people. I didn’t want to have any getting away with it. As for those in the cells… I don’t think there were many who were going to make it out alive… If any. I also knew that I couldn’t leave her alone when she was like this, so I had already thought ahead… I had a feeling she may not want to see it happen, and I wasn’t going to let her out of my sight on this Pack’s ground. "Kitten, whilst I deal with those men, I’m going to send you with a close

62. Behind Those Gray Eyes
DELSANRA Liam had taken me to a hotel suite and had told me to go sleep in the bedroom whilst he did some work in the living room area. At first I didn’t want to, but when I realised Rayhan wasn’t going to come anytime soon, I entered the bedroom, locking the door and tried to sleep. I tossed and turned but sleep was not coming to me. Sometimes I would be dropping off, only for my eyes to fly open and I would be fresh again. I picked up my phone, no message from him either… I sighed, staring at the ceiling. I couldn’t sleep, not without his arms around me. I didn’t even realise that I hadn’t actually spent a night without him… I sighed softly, staring at the ceiling, pondering over everything that had happened. Raihana hadn’t been given a grimoire, Rayhan had made her pass it to us before we left, simply because of the connection Endora had with her. The grimoires we had were mostly dark spells, but then again, it seemed Endora could relay any spell t

63. Coming To An Agreement
RAFAEL I managed to persuade Maria to come downstairs. I was about to take a huge risk, but I needed to do it in front of Maria so her father’s reaction was in front of her, I just hoped that he would live up to his usual beliefs. Things were already bad; I don’t think they could get worse anyway. "Maria." Amir said, frowning at the state of his daughter, shooting me a cold glare as he pulled her into his arms. She was wearing a gown over her night dress now, her scars hidden away once more. "Baba." She whispered, hugging her father tightly. "Care to share what happened?" He asked me coldly. "Let’s sit down." I said, allowing the father-daughter to sit side by side as I took my seat opposite them. Taking a deep breath, I told him that on her eighteenth birthday, Raihana’s witch side was revealed. How as the first-born female from Endora’s line, she was a full-fledged witch, and how Delsanra is the very same witch who gave us the correc

64. A Painful Truth
DELSANRA A demon. Those words rang in my head, I felt sick. Those things didn’t exist on this earth, did they? "Well, the little dark creature they had vulgar plans for, wasn’t exactly what they wanted. They wanted a male demon to breed with a witch. Sadly, they ended up with a female demon… Yet they weren’t going to drop their plans, so one of the sick members who found the demon rather appealing decided to engage with it." Janaina looked disgusted, but I felt worse. Was that what I was… A thing born from rape? I wanted to be sick. If my past had been crap before, it was worse now… I stayed rooted in my place, trying to calm my emotions as I listened to her. "How do you know if it was just a few who were in on it?" Raihana asked sharply. I could feel her anger as she stood up and walked closer to me but stopped next to Rayhan, whose emotions were a storm right now. I didn’t want to look at him... Not when he had an idea of what I was, yet he

65. Progress
DELSANRA Night had fallen, and the spell to initiate Raihana was in place. She was nervous as I walked over to her. "It’s going to be ok, look if it worked for me, it will work for you." I whispered. She nodded. Despite my truth, she didn’t treat me any differently, and if Hecate was able to expect a demon hybrid, she would surely accept a werewolf hybrid. Janaina began chanting the spell, and I gave Raihana a quick hug as she stepped into the triangle on the floor. The room seemed to still, the candles dimming. Suddenly, glowing symbols spun around Raihana, her hair flayed as if defying gravity and her eyes fluttered shut. A blinding light appeared around her and Rayhan had to shield his eyes but I kept my gaze ahead, my heart beating. The symbols seemed to sink into Raihana’s skin, and I smiled in relief as I felt the radiating aura that burned off her. She was a fire witch. A whispery voice fluttered past my ears, and I smil

66. Next Step
DELSANRA We were just sitting and eating the food Rayhan had brought us when Janaina approached. Over the last few weeks, I could tell she was nothing like Samson. Despite her stoic behaviour, she was different. And I could sense her pride when either Raihana or I succeeded in something. She even remarked that she would be known as the teacher of two of the strongest witches of our time. "I think we are ready to do the unsealing spell of your powers." She said, looking between Raihana and me. She smiled confidently. "Oh, I cannot wait!" "There’s no chance that Endora might try to sabotage it?" Rayhan asked sharply. "No, she can only make a link when Serafina is in an intense emotional state or when asleep." "And I will not let her." Raihana said, confidently drinking some of her J2O. "And then, once my powers are released, can I deal with getting rid of Endora?" I asked. That was something I was looking

67. The Veil
RAIHANA I would give it my all. I wanted to do something, be more than just the Rossi Princess, I wanted to be the best version of myself. Be worthy of more… The pain inside my chest at the loss of someone who wasn’t even mine to start with clawed at me every day, so I put my all into learning what Janaina taught us instead. I missed him, but why? We were nothing… I wanted to show the world I was more... That I was worthy… and I would. Even though Endora couldn’t interfere, she tried to. I often felt that presence in my head. Now that my link with my wolf had strengthened, she alerted me to Endora’s presence, and I was able to push her away. I also knew she would try to interfere with this spell, but I was not going to let her. I began chanting the spell, looking at the woman I considered my best friend now. Although we hadn’t known each other for too long, the bond we had was perfect. She was the sister I never had, the friend I yearned for,

68. No Way Back
DELSANRA "Endora." I said coldly, the blistering rage I felt swirling around me, burning bright in the darkness before the veil. Her outline became clear and soon her face sharpened, a face I never wanted to see again. She looked the same yet different… "Delsanra." "It’s a shame you’re not burning in the pits of hell." I said coldly, circling the woman. I could feel her tension, her lips pressed into a taut line. Her fists clenched tightly. "I am not so easy to beat!" She hissed. "You’re dead, Endora. No matter how much you claw your way to the place between both worlds, there is no return for you without the help of powerful witches…" I said, approaching her. My heart was racing, but it wasn’t in fear. Her dark orange eyes held unmasked resentment. "Stay back!" She hissed. So, she too knew I was far stronger than her… "I won’t, because I am done with your selfish plans. You almost made Serafina

69. Silent Love
DELSANRA I staggered away from the wall. I had actually done it… Endora was gone… for good. I looked down at the two lines that led through that crack that still promised happiness… I walked towards it slowly, brushing my finger along the black string… My heart racing as I looked at the barrier. I grabbed onto the string, tugging it gently. I thought I heard a sound from beyond the barrier. My heart thumped louder as I approached it, by any chance… Could my mother be there? On the other side? ‘You can do this kitten... ’ Rayhan’s faint voice came from somewhere far away, and I hesitated, my eyes flitting to the crack… I won’t cross through. I just… I needed to see… I inched closer, feeling a slight tug on the black thread. A little whimper filled my ears and my heart pounded faster. "Hello?" I whispered, reaching for the veil. My fingers were only inches from the crack. When small slender hands pushed my hand away from

70. Teasing
RAYHAN A few days had passed, and it was the day that Lola, Rose and Chris were popping down. We had told Janaina, who had only agreed if the girls managed to come to a certain level in their training. With both of them at their best with no seals or mind intrusions, they were learning fast, and she had begrudgingly told us that we may enjoy one night. She herself was going to see if she could find any answers regarding the witch hunters or anything regarding the matter. I was grateful to her for trying and for everything she was doing with the girls. I hoped that one day, when everything was sorted, she could live the life she wanted. With her gone, we had full reigns to do as we wished, and I actually was looking forward to it. The others were going to bring the meat, the grill and everything else we needed. The weather was hot, and I think the three of us were looking for some normality. Being out here, constantly training and learning, wasn’t easy. Delsan
