The Queen Bee
Avianna's Point of View "Don't you really have any friends aside from me? You're always with me. Aren't you getting sick of my face?" I asked Joshua when he sat beside me on the field. I didn't spare him a glance. My eyes were just trained on the students playing football. I heard him chuckle, "I already told you, I have no friend aside from you. I don't want to hang out with other students here, I prefer your company. And no, I don't get sick of seeing your face." "You don't really want to meet the others? I think you'd click with them," I said. Joshua shook his head, "Nah. Maybe not now. Have you seen the way they glared at me last time when they saw how you held my wrist?"

Weekend Hangout: On the way (part 1)
Avianna's Point of View   "Where do you guys usually hang out?" I asked Marrah who's currently styling her hair in front of the mirror.   "In anyone's house. Movie marathon, games, you know? Or sometimes when we're all in the mood, we're having a road trip," she answered. "Before we split into two packs, we usually did this all the time. But when we split, I don't know if the other pack did it again. Ours did."   "And you're finally going to hang out again after two years?"   She smiled, "Yeah. Thanks to you."   I returned the smile, "I'm glad I helped. Do the two still get mad whenever you're all together?"

Weekend Hangout: On the beach (part 2)
Avianna's Point of View "You can go ahead. I'll wake her up." "No, you go ahead. I came here first." "What's this, racing? Just leave already!" "Don't shout! You'll wake her up!" "Isn't that the point of why we're arguing right now?" I slowly opened my eyes to see whoever it was that was so noisy while I'm sleeping. When I finally adjusted my vision from the brightness, I saw Mirco and Zen glaring at each other. "Why don't you just go ahead? Isn't this your friend's resort?" Mirco said.

Weekend Hangout: On the beach (part 3)
Avianna's Point of View "I'll just rest for a while," I informed Marrah who got tackled on the water by Kayne. I laughed loudly at Marrah's expression and I didn't try to see what she did that Kayne screamed so loud. I walked towards the blanket that the boys had laid on the sand. No one was there since all of them were playing and swimming in the sea. I got tired so I decided to rest for a bit before joining them again for the games they prepared. I watched them as they splashed water at each other like how those teenagers do at movies. They looked so happy. I could imagine them playing like this two years ago, including Zen and Mirco. All of them looked so close with each other, only the two Alphas seemed distant.

Weekend Hangout: On the amusement park (part 4)
Avianna's Point of View "Av..." I tilted my head to look at Joshua who softly called my name, wary of my mood. "Hmm?" "Are you sure you want to go back?" He asked. My brows furrowed, "What do you mean?" "We could just go somewhere else, you know? It would be a pity to waste our weekend like this just because you fought with your Alphas." "First of all, stop referring to them as my Alphas. Second, I told you that you could stay there if you wanted to. I don't want to ruin your mood. You seemed happy playing with them," I said.

Stares and Whispers
Avianna's Point Of View My forehead creased as I roamed my eyes around and saw that everybody has been staring at me only even when I'm with Joshua. I turned to look at Joshua, visually asking him if he knows why almost all the students we walked past were looking at me. But he also looked as lost as I am. He shook his head in response. "Do I have something on my face?" I asked in a whisper. He examined my face carefully and a few seconds later, he shook his head, "None. It's just the same." "Then why are they looking at me like that..." I muttered. "I had no idea either. Let's just walk faster so

Conditions and Agreement
Avianna's Point of View "I'm sorry," Zen spoke first, breaking the few minutes of silence that ensued between the three of us once I agreed. He lifted his head and our eyes met. There were so many emotions in his eyes that I couldn't tell all of them. "I'm sorry for hurting you back on the beach, and for yelling at you. My anger got the best of me and I couldn't control it. My explanation is shitty but I don't know what else to say." "And I'm sorry if I just stood there without helping you, Avianna. I was feeling a lot of things back then too when you mentioned... that name," Mirco interjected, his voice slowly getting lower at the end of his sentence. My brows furrowed and were about to ask again who exactly that Yumi is when I remember I already promised myself not to medd

Breakfast date
Avianna's Point of View I sighed for the nth time when my phone vibrated again, messages from the two Alphas bombarding my phone. But just like I did for the past hour that had passed since I started receiving one, I didn't bother to reply to it. I didn't even open it to read it. It was just a bunch of 'good morning' and reminders. I'm not much of a texting person. I prefer calls. So I left their messages unread. "Are you done?" Marrah's voice came from behind. I put down the brush on the vanity mirror and turned around to face her. I smiled at her. "Yeah. Let's go?" Last night, when I returned to my room, all the girls were there. I think they came back th

Lunch date
Avianna's Point of ViewI felt someone kicking my legs beneath the table while we were answering something in one of our subjects. I turned around to face where the foot came from and I glared at Zen when I saw it was him. I kicked him back on his shin with more force and strength, earning a quiet grunt from him. "Stop kicking me before the professor sees you and get the both of us punished," I whispered to him. "I just want to remind you of our lunch date," he whispered back without turning his head to me. I rolled my eyes, "it's not a lunch date." "It's a lunch date for me." "Whatever," I h

Almost out of control
Avianna's Point of View "How's hanging out with your mates?"  I looked up to see Joshua smiling down at me before he sat at the empty space beside me. "Surprisingly, I had fun although it's just for an hour," I answered, smiling upon remembering how easy it was to strike a conversation with those two once the awkwardness was ignored. I really enjoyed it. They sounded so genuine while asking things about me, like they really wanted to know more about me. "It's obvious in your face," Joshua said. "Haven't talked to you all day because your mates have been gatekeeping you." I chuckled when I hear
