Chapter 19
The explosion caught everyone off guard, it was chaos for a quick moment till the smoke was gone. The police looked around and found no one hurt by the explosion. Fatima breathed heavily as she calmed down. She looked at Grian with a smile but it quickly fell. “Grian!” she exclaimed as her hands were freed by Cristopher, she immediately held Grian who’s in pain, and held his side. Fatima’s face filled with terror as she looked at his side torso bleeding out. She held his side as well. Christopher realized what happened and called the ambulance in. “Grian..” she whispered in a panic and he looked at her with a smile. “If I die, delete the secret file in my laptop,” he whispered with a grin and she furrowed her eyebrows. “Not the time to joke around!” she irritatedly screamed. “I’m glad you’re safe,” he said before he slowly passed out. The medical team then held

A couple of days later, Philippe got released from the hospital and in the meantime, they were escorted to a new home so it’s a lot safer and it’s sponsored by Christopher. Fatima was skeptical to accept it but for the sake of her brothers, she accepted it. He’s being kind to her which feels nice but it’s still a bit strange since a couple of days ago, his mother was ready to fight her because of how the company image got damaged. She breathed heavily as she and her brother prepared lunch. “Wow, this place is amazing,” he said. This is the first day of them moving here and it’s closer to Grian’s house and the company. He was also transferred to different schools and so did Nikki for their safety. Timothy was also granted the opportunity to study since he’s ready for school but Fatima didn’t have money to let her brother study. With both the help of Christopher and Grian, it was possible for them to live

Chapter 21
CHRISTOPHER WHO SEEM LIKE madness consumed him, walked into their mansion where his mother is currently in while his sister is sent away to hang out with Philippe in the meantime so that she wouldn’t hear what they’ll be arguing about. He went directly to her office and opened the door and found his mother sitting down on her chair while typing on her laptop. She walked towards her and stopped in front of the desk. “What is it this time, Christopher?” she asked while she continued typing, not looking at her son. “Did you pay Fatima’s mother or not?” he directly questioned but she didn’t even bat an eye. She continued typing before he uttered again, “Did you?” She sighed, knowing he’ll just keep pushing her buttons. “I paid a lot of people, I’m not sure,” she answered before looking at the paperwork on her desk. His jaw clenched and he slammed his hands on her ta

Chapter 22
[Dream Starts]Fatima felt like her eyes were heavy as hell as she was driving their old car. She looked around the car and as she turned to the side and saw her father sitting next to her with his seatbelt on. She looked at him with furrowed eyebrows and he smiled. “Learning how to drive now, I see?” he asked and she nodded but was having a hard time keeping her eyes open because it’s heavy and the surroundings looked awfully bright.  “I need to learn how to drive since I’ll be taking care of my brothers, don’t I?” He smiled and nodded before leaning back on the seat.  “When are you coming home?” she asked and he frowned.  “I don’t know sweetie, maybe never?” he answered and she looked at him with confusion. “What?” She was about to stop the car when the surroundings suddenly changed. The car was flipped over as the

“Oh no! The fish is burning!” Fatima exclaimed in a panic and Grian laughed loudly. They’ve been trying to cook for about twenty minutes now and she’s not used to grilling food so she’s having a hard time manipulating the fire. She panicked and blew air into the fire which made the fire even bigger. “Oh my gosh!” she exclaimed and he shook his head while laughing. “Here, let me,” he said before taking it upon himself to cook the fish. He flipped it over before the first side turned black. She breathed heavily and sat down on her seat. She pouted as she watched him cook while she checked the basket and grabbed the fruits so she could eat at the same time. “I suddenly hate cooking,” she joked and he laughed.  After he successfully cooked the first fish, he placed it down on the plate before he started the second and third ones. “I didn’t know you were good at this,

Chapter 24
FATIMA GOT READY THE next morning. She wore black pants that aren't tight so she can move around easily and she’s wearing a white t-shirt and a black jacket over it. She tied her hair back in a bun as she waited for a call or something on her phone. What’s bothersome is how they found the number. The police traced the call and they were telling the truth in which location they were. Fatima nervously waited for another call as Grian sat next to her. “Are you really certain about this?” he asked in nervousness and she nodded. He sighed in worry, knowing he can’t really stop her from what she wanted to do. “I’ll come with you-“ He got cut off. “Shut up, you just got shot,” she said, refusing his request and he gulped.  A few minutes later, the phone rang and after a few rings, that’s when she answered the call. She felt like she stopped breathing the moment she answered. She took a

“I’m surprised you came.” Everyone listening through the earpiece heard a man talking from a distance. It feels a bit unnerving even if they’re just listening to it go down. They can’t imagine how Fatima feels about this interaction.  “Who are you?” They heard her ask loudly and a pause was heard.  “The money?” They heard the man ask and Nikki worriedly looked at Grian.  “What if they find the tracker?” she whispered but Philippe held her shoulder to calm her down. She took deep breaths as they listened again. “Exact amount, three hundred thousand dollars.” Her voice was firm and confident.  While they were listening, they were interrupted by a knock on the door. The police scanned the man and asked Grian to look for who it was. He approached the door and looked outside and found William standing there,

EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE waited in anticipation. Grian and William reconciled when he realized that William had nothing to do with what was happening and he was just a victim as well. “You should rest, Grian,” Philippe reminded him but he ignored him. Phil sighed and sat down on the couch.    “Fatima will hate it if you don’t,” he said, trying to bargain.    “You rest, I’ll manage,” Grian responded and sighed.    William opened the television and the news was all over every channel regarding the explosion and kidnapping. Their eyes widened in shock and fear. They just found out about the explosion right at this moment. No one informed them and now they sat there anxiously. “Oh my god,” Nikki said.    “A few officers were injured from the explosion but the suspects and hostage were unharmed. They flee from the scene and the police are now tracking the fugitives down,” the news reporte

CHRISTOPHER DROVE FOR hours and finally reached where they’re keeping Fatima. He opened the small compartment in his car and grabbed the gun he kept there for emergency purposes. He took a deep breath before he got out of his car and followed some men inside as he sneaked in. What’s strange is there’s a lot of people here, are they in on it too, or are they just here because they’re just stopping by?    He looked at the building and saw that it’s just a mere hotel. Is this just so they can lay low and keep Fatima from the public? Either way, he needs to find her fast. He looked around the place and noticed a suspicious guy walking to the elevator. He stared at him for a moment and watched the elevator close. He looked at which floor he’s going to and he immediately ran to find the stairs of the hotel to catch him there.    Once he found the stairs, he started running up as fast as he could. He soon reached the second floor and he w

Fatima fell to the ground as the blood gushed out of her body. Gunshots were heard all around as Christopher ran to her body despite the officers telling him to stay put. He held her body as he tried stopping the blood. She was as pale as a ghost and she lost consciousness. His eyes widened in fear as he looked at her frail body. “Somebody help!” He screamed for help and carefully lifted Fatima and carried her behind the officers.    The medical team immediately tends to the pair as they take Fatima away from him. All he could do was watch as she was being taken down to the first floor of the building. He followed behind them but the world seemed to stop for him as he stumbled inside the elevator while staring at her being carried by the medical team. They tried their best to stop her bleeding from getting worse.    Once they were down, Christopher and Fatima were surrounded by guards to stop anyone from approaching them as they we
