Chapter 31
A knock on my door brought me back to reality and I realised I must have drifted off to sleep whilst crying my eyes out on the surprisingly soft and comfy bed. "Good morning miss" a female wolf in a uniform greeted me with a smile on her face the moment I opened the door with tired and sleepy eyes and it didn't take much time for me to realise that she was a maid in the pack house.  "Good morning" I greeted back while yawning.  "The Alpha requests for you to come down for breakfast as soon as possible " she said with a smile before walking out of the door. The moment she left, my stomach made a rumbling sound making me realise that I was truly hungry. I instantly prepared myself and wore comfy clothes the maid placed on my bed before walking out of the room but the mansion was so big that I had no idea where I was going.

Chapter 32
"Fuck,I can't breathe!" I gasped out loud as we ran up the high hills that were clouded with fogs, making it almost impossible for me to breathe and I wondered how well he was running up the hill so fast without even slowing down a bit but I guessed he was already used to it.   "Stop whining, we're almost at the top " he yelled from afar and I inhaled a deep breath. I might as well just complete this training and reward myself with a good sleep.     If only I had just been honest to tell him my head still hurt and I wasn't well yet, then I would have probably been enjoying myself on the bed with a bag of chips in my hand than this punishment.    I was actually surprised at myself when I didn't fall or pass out despite the throbbing ache in my head and the burning feeling in my lungs cry

Chapter 33
ALARIC'S POV     It's been three days since the disappearance of Lenora that it made my beast weak and I wasn't able to act like the way I used to.    Every single pack in Florida had been thoroughly checked but there was no way I would be able to inform the higher council because my father would definitely find out about Lenora and I wasn't ready for him to find out about her yet because I had no idea how he would react.    He would obviously want me to mate the daughter of one of those chief councils and might reluctantly accept Lenora since she's just a werewolf and not even the daughter of an Alpha.   Josh and I had placed a visit to Lenora's grandmother the next day after her disappearance but the old w

LENORA'S POV   "You're lucky" She commented the moment we left the dining room.    "Why?" I asked but she only flashed me a smile showing off her pearly sets of teeth.   "Hmm, let's get far away from the boys. Their ears could hear from miles and it spooks me up" she responded and I let out a chuckle.    Deep down, I hoped it wouldn't be something too serious because I might not be able to handle it well, I had chosen to stay here because I believed I would live a drama free life and I would definitely hate for me to be wrong about my choice.     After walking past corridors that I don't think I'll remember any time soon, we entered her room as she sat me down on her dressing chair while I

Chapter 35
"Ouhh, her eyes are opening!" A female voice shrieked in the room as my eyes fluttered open. I recognized it as belonging to Fiona and her voice was so loud that it made my head hurt even more than it was already hurting but I could tell she was just happy to see me awake.   "Shssh!" Cole's voice shushed, making me tilt my head to notice my environment.    Cole and Fiona both stood side by side beside my bed while Jika sat at the far end of my bed with a worried look on his face, almost resembles that of guilt.   His brows relaxed on seeing my face but furrowed almost immediately as he looked away from my face.    Cole and Fiona also noticed the look on his face as their smile fell and the silence in the room was leaving me worried.&

Chapter 36
"You like me?" I asked again as I was trying to confirm If I had misheard him because I would hate for him to actually mean it.   "Yes I do. '' He replied and I could swear I was starting to hear my heart racing faster than it was.   "Oh okay, " I said and an awkward silence filled the tent for some time.   "I like you because of who you are, you know when it's first saw you I saw something different in you and you didn't prove me wrong."   "I had asked you the reason why you left and you were honest with me, most wolves would have lied but you had pain in your eyes and I know the feeling of not being with your mate so I decided to help you" He said and I didn't know how I released a heavy breath that I never knew i was holding.

ALARIC'S POV      The instant we got to Seattle, I became restless but for some reason I could feel the presence of Lenora closer and it made me a little bit calm.     Josh had given me a call immediately after we landed and asked if we'd arrived safely.  He was really watching over me like I was a kid but I am not complaining, he might not know this but I consider him the closest person I have to a family.     Before hanging up, he had sent a list of all packs in Seattle and had insisted that we searched all the packs first before searching the whole town itself and I found that smart about him.     Jenny had also contributed by checking for the locations an

Chapter 38
"In case no one has ever told you this then listen carefully Alaric, I'm not the cause of the miserable life you have, that has been causing you to kill innocent people. No one would ever want you to be near them not because they fear you but because you're worthless and you bring nothing but sadness wherever you go!" She yelled and I could feel the pain In her voice and the anger she had for me that truly broke me.   Fine! She had said some hurtful words that actually got me but seeing her this hostile towards me makes me wonder if I've actually screwed things up with her.   Perhaps I shouldn't have killed the Alpha in her presence and things would have been slightly better between us.  I don't know why but for some reason, I felt like I had lost the trust of my mate and she

LENORA'S POV    We arrived at the Serene pack house as I suddenly felt a wave of discomfort on my skin. I had hated the sight of this place and the memories attached to it but somehow again I've found myself under this same roof.   Alaric had been quiet all through the ride and flight back here and I appreciated the fact that he didn't say anything to me while Jenny on the other hand tried to start up some little conversations with me even though she clearly knew I wasn't In my right state of mind to be talked to and wanted to be in my own space.    I didn't have to wait for either Alaric or Jenny immediately we got to the pack house and I made my way to my room. I noticed Alaric was walking behind me, probably to make sure I arrive in my room but he has nothing to worry about.

Chapter 40
"Lenora!" A weak voice called my name and the moment I recognised it, my body froze, it was Asher and why the fuck would Jenny bring me here?   I turned to look at Jenny who only had a broad smile on her face but it was in no way near a deceitful smile that I was suddenly confused about what was happening.    "Why the hell am I here?" I growled at Jenny with my eyes that were filled with anger and the memories from the day I knew about Asher's plan flashed through my mind.   I could feel the pain In my eyes as I was trying so hard to not let the salty tears flow on my cheeks. Jenny still had her smile on her face to the point of it irking me so bad.   "Why the fucking hell am I here Jenny!" I growled louder this time as my wolf was getting ready to unleash her rage
