“Whats wrong?” Ryn asks, sensing my emotions as we take off and start rising into the sky.   “Do you think everyone will be happy for us?” I ask him, searching his face for honesty like I always do.   “No. Honestly I think everyone will probably shun us,” he tells me and I roll my eyes.   “Seriously.”   “Ok fine, seriously…. I don’t know. I’ve wondered it myself as well. But I want to believe that yes, they will be.” he tells me, and I can see that's the truth.   “I want to believe that too. I really only worry about my parents. They love you, and they are going to be thankful I’ve found you, but for some reason I’m still worried”   “Because I’m only a warrior?” He says quietly.   I look over and he is holding my gaze and I see that intensity from last night in them. Its his love for me. And I can see the way he really feels about us.

“What do you think mom and dad will think?”   He thought about the answer for a second and I could tell you was genuinely wondering the same thing that I was.   “Honestly, I'm not sure. I know they will be happy, But I also know it won't be what they’ve expected. Although I suspect they should be the most upset That you haven't told them the truth the Past month more than anything, that you hid it and were probably sad and we couldn’t help you.”   “Is that how they will feel, or how you feel?” I asked with a pointed look.   “Both.” he replied flatly. “I’ve actually…. um, nevermind,”   He starts his sentence and then shakes his head like whatever he was thinking either didn’t make sense or shouldn’t be said, and it made me more than a little curious.   “What?” I asked him.   “Nothing, nevermind,” he waved his hand dismissively. &nb

I chuckle at her adorable ways and come closer to her. “That went well,” I say and she laughs. “I suppose it did. But it left us with more questions than answers, yet again.” “Yeah. I mean, I’d already figured out that it had happened before. But I guess mom knows what the other mates positions and relationships were. And apparently, it was always for a different ‘reason’” “Yeah but the last one was a warrior too. So wouldn’t that be a repeat? Or maybe not, since you are a General?” “I think she means that something happened each time, something that determined their future. Not necessarily their positions. I’m not sure, I’ll do some more research. Honestly the only thing I was looking for the first time, was whether I could even possibly have you. Once I found that out, I went to your broth

Sure enough she is at her table with a canvas and paint in front of her while my dad is at her desk, his glasses perched on his nose while he goes over documents and relays questions to my mom while she works. The way they work together has always been my inspiration for my future relationship. I wanted to lead a pack as seamless as they do. Now, I had to learn how to help lead an army that seamless.   They look up at the same time, obviously not expecting me. My mom gasps and runs over to me, hugging me tight.   “Oh thank Goddess you came home for a break! Ryn, I didn’t think you’d be able to bring her back so soon, I’m so glad that you were able to convince her to,” My mother says to me and then to Ryn. He bows out of respect to her and my father and then nods his head.   “Me too.”   “Now you and I, we have a lot to talk about, because I am not buying that bullshit about why you left, I want to the

{ Ryn }  She lifted up onto her tippy toes and I met her for a quick kiss before I pushed out the door behind her father, the smile on my face remaining as the door closed behind us. We walked down the hallway in silence and I saw him side glance at me. The realization truly settling inside me that my mate’s father was the King, my King. And his approval of me meant more than a normal father’s approval would. I cleared my throat and straightened my face back to stoic as we reached the stairs and I Was surprised when he let out a deep chuckle at this. “It’s alright, Waryn. I won’t bite, at least not as long as you don’t hurt Olina,” he tells me with a lighthearted voice but his words holding a truth to them. I paused my walk and furrowed my eyebreows as I searched for the right words before turning to him, my voice dropping lower and my face now c

{ Olina }   I ended up falling asleep on the small couch in mom’s office while we talked. She didn’t wake me, she just puttered around. I could subconsciously hear her working and it soothed me to be close to her. I woke up to sparks dancing up my arm as someone rubbing their fingers up and down it. I smiled before I even opened my eyes as his scent filled my nose. Before I could open the door I felt his hand move and sparks made themselves known once again as he slipped one hand under my knees and the other under my shoulders and lifted me off the couch. He took a few steps till we were out the door and I opened my eyes finally to see him glancing at me with a soft expression.   “Hi baby,” he whispered.   “Hey,” I said with a dopey smile on my face. I still couldn’t get a grip on this new happiness from just being with him. I realized my wolf had been exhausted and stressed being away from him for a few hours and that w

“Hello?”   I forced myself to talk as normal as I could. “Hi, Lana?”   “Yes, who is this?”   “It’s Oly.”   “Oh shit, wait… really?”   “Yes! Are you alone? I know it sounds weird, but I don’t want anyone knowing I’m calling you.”   “That’s not weird at all, and yeah I’m alone. I’m home right now. Dad’s out so its just me here.”   “Alright, good. So how are you?”   “Ehhh. I’ve been alright. Honestly been pretty lonely since you left.”   “I know how you feel, I’ve missed you. How is everything there?”   “A disaster. And also really strange. There’s a lot of… hush hush around the ranked wolves and the pack just doesn’t feel right. My gut says there is something going on, and something about to happen, but I don’t know for sure.”   I wasn’t surprised so much. W

{ Waryn }   The blood is running off my hands and into the sink as I mutter curse words under my breathe. I can still feel the anxiety that is bubbling into rage once again the longer I’m here and away from Oly. I’d been sparring off and on with the elites for the past 6 hours and it wasn’t helping as much as I’d hoped it would.   I dry off my hands finally and then turn to go back into the training room where the elites are not laying on the floor doing core workouts. I glanced at the clock for the umpteenth time since I entered the room.   2:04.   “Still whining?”   I clench my fists at my sides and take a deep breathe trying to remind myself he is literally my King. I turn to see his amused face and it took everything in me not to punch the smug smile off of him.   “Seriously Quai, your position is the only reason I haven’t taken you to the mat yet.”

{ Olina }   I woke to the sound of snoring in my ear. It was loud enough it actually jolted me awake and took me a few seconds to get my bearings. I was in our bed, and Ryn’s scent was overwhelming me so I knew it was his snores. And based on the noise level I deduced his head was right behind mine. I tried to snuggle into him more and go back to sleep but quickly realized that was pointless so I sighed and then rolled away from him. Sure enough, he remained asleep. Out like a light thanks to his overnight activities, no doubt.   I crawled off the bed and grabbed one of Ryn’s sweatshirts and pulled it over my head. The cabin was not heated at the moment and while it wasn’t winter yet, it was autumn and getting colder at night.   Note to self, see about heat! I thought as I slipped on some homemade slippers and padded into the kitchen for coffee. I spared the clock a look on the way and wasn’t surprised it was early after

I head to wake up Quai first, stopping and putting my mug in the dishwasher on the way by, the kitchen staff shoeing me and chastising me for cleaning up after myself as always. As soon as I make it to our floor I can hear him snoring. I chuckle out loud as memories fill my mind of all the times he used to snore like this. It was only when he was passed out tired, usually from days when mom and dad would run him ragged with training and school. Between the two of us, he really had a harder upbringing as the heir to the crown. My parents were strict with me, but preparing me to be most likely a Luna, required a lot less work than preparing to be King. My hand landed on his doorknob and I began to turn it but decided against it. We had always had an open door policy for each other, but suddenly, being mated myself, I realized that wasn’t possible anymore and he would have Lana tonight, so I’d better get used to it. I raised my hand up and rapped 3 time
