บททั้งหมดของ Blood and Moon: บทที่ 21 - บทที่ 30

Desiree I left my mother's house when it was dark and returned to the Blood packhouse. The moment we arrived, I headed straight to my apartment. I wasn't in a good mind frame to speak to anyone, and I prayed that I don't bump into Lola because I doubted if I had it in me to banter with her. I knew my eyes were puffy. I could feel it. Ashria was silent all through, and I believe it was to my benefit. I promised to shift the next day, but she told me to take my time. She knew we would be doing a lot of that soon, so there was no rush. Adam's scent lingered in the air in my apartment, but he wasn't there. I wondered where he had gone. He must have been in severe pain mentally for Kristoff to be howling. I felt his pain a bit, but I couldn't relate because our bond wasn't complete, and I doubted if it ever would be. It was cruel for the king to forbid me from taking what was rightfully mine, but I had to keep my head down for now. Tim and Janet served me dinner, and I wondered why Adam

Adam I have never hated my father so much than in this hour. When Desiree stood by the window, I knew she would jump. I felt it, and Kristof felt it too. I had to leave. Why couldn't my father tell that he was killing me? His words and actions were killing me, and I did not know if I would be able to take anymore. Asking me to abandon the girl I loved to her fate was wicked. How did he expect me to fight strong, knowing Desiree wasn't protected? I followed Kyle to the front, and we both shifted. "I thought you wouldn't come because of that Moon bitch of yours," my father said to me through the mind link, and I ignored him. Kristoff was in so much pain that he howled. Desiree's words played in my head, and I couldn't concentrate. She believed she was dead either way. My father gathered every warrior, putting the moons at the front and the bloods behind them. "We fought to gain this land. We can't let anyone take it from us," I heard my father through the mind link. He was trying to

Desiree I did not see Janet until the evening, and she did not just carry her scent, she smelled differently, and I wondered what she had been up to. When Tim left, I couldn't help but ask her. "Out with it," I said, sitting comfortably on the loveseat in my living room. She looked a bit surprised at my words, and I arched an eyebrow to let her know that she couldn't dodge my words. "Out with it, Janet," I ordered her, and she sighed. We practically grew up together, she couldn't hide anything from me, and she knew it. "Well," She began, looking nervous and unsure whether or not she should tell me, but I was too curious to let her off the hook. She leaned forward and touched my lap, " Please, you have to promise you will keep this between us no matter what," she pleaded nervously, and I got uncomfortable. Suddenly I was not interested in what she had to say. I already had a lot on my plate, I hoped for both our sakes it wasn't heavy. "I am seeing someone," she finally confessed,

Desiree Walking back home, I knew my life would never be the same again. There was no way the moons were going to listen to me, and they would feel I abandoned them in their time of need. I wished they would listen, because the vision that saw was gruesome, and I prayed that it wouldn't come to pass. I got to the packhouse two hours later, about three in the morning. I entered my apartment and found Adam curled on the bed. I was amazed that he would be there since I wasn't around. I thought he would sleep in his apartment instead. I took off my clothes and curled into the bed next to him. He came close and wrapped his hands around me. "You couldn't stay away from me too long," he whispered in my ears with his husky sleep voice, and I smiled. How the hell could they expect me to give him up? I hugged his hands to my chest and relaxed into his embrace. All my troubles were far away, and sleep came quickly. I woke up the next day in Adams's arms. He was still sleeping, so I gently got

Adam My father called me to his chamber after practice, and I reluctantly went to see him. As always, Beta Green was there when I arrived, and I started seeing him as a permanent fixture in my father's chambers. To my surprise, another person was there, someone I never expected. I saw Margret getting dressed with her hair tousled, and I did not need to guess what she was doing in my father's chamber. I guess I wasn't the only one that had the hots for moons. I looked at my father, surprised because I had never seen him with any woman before. After my mother died, he shut down completely. As much as he claims to hate moons, he must have some feelings for Margret to sleep with her. Too bad she didn't feel the same way. She averted my gaze, and I didn't say a word to her. She had taken herself off Desiree's service list. I did not know why and Desiree was yet to tell me, but I hoped it had nothing to do with my father. My father spanked her butt on the way out, and his eyes were filled w
