Lahat ng Kabanata ng Rejected to be His Luna: Kabanata 41 - Kabanata 50

[Zeve’s POV] “Amor. What happened earlier was not because of them… I-I don’t know why I panicked…” I said. He looked at me with tensed brows, “are you blind or you just don’t want to see?” “See what? What are you talking about?” I said, trying my best to not offend any of them. Amor sighed and looked at Venus and Zahir, “you will speak on your own or should I tell her?” Zahir and Venus looked at each other. The frenzieness in their mind was clearly visible on their faces. Zahir dropped his gaze and looked at the floor. Venus was sweating and gulping again and again. Both of them didn’t say a word and restlessly pondered into nothingness until Amor spoke again. “It was somehow related to the winner of the Black Light festival, right?” He asked, leaning on the back of his chair with his hands crossed across his chest. Both Venus and Zahir looked at him as if he had caught their darkest secret. Venus was breathing heavily, fidgeting with her fingers and biting her lips. I understo

[Zeve’s POV] “What’s wrong with you now?” Amor asked. “Get in.” My head was heavy, as if the air above me had grown a thousand times heavier. Giggles. Screams. Cries. Sobs. Laughter. Screeches. Everything hit me all at once, making it difficult to even understand what Amor was saying or why he looked angry. Darkness flashed in front of my eyes. “Allarya! Don’t go there, you will fall…” “You can’t fly yet…” “Oh my goodness, she inherited the word sorcery. Maa. Papa. Come here… look at her…” “Little enchantress! Little Allarya. You can’t go beyond the boundaries at night. Let’s go back…” It was a man’s voice, but whose? I couldn’t recognize any of those voices. “Papa! Maa!” someone was shouting frantically. “Take Allarya to safety! Go!” Was there an attack? “Little Enchantress needs to be saved at all costs. Please run, my queen. Save our future… the divination can’t be wrong… run, my queen, run!” What is divination? Is it the voice of the king? And… who is Allarya? “Zeve!

[Zeve’s POV] “Zeve! Run!” Amor yelled impatiently. I looked back. The sharpness of the swords reflected in my eyes as two black-robed men raised their swords, aiming at me. Fear combined with numbness paralysed my body. That fear was different that the fear of dying. It was — fear of dying a useless death when there were people who had actual reasons to live other than living itself. Fear of failing people when they needed me the most. Fear of falling so low in my own eyes from where I couldn’t get up. Never. Fear of wanting to help but being helpless. I wanted to run, but my body wouldn’t move. I froze in my place, waiting for the sword to slash my skin. I heard a loud growl that soon transitioned into a deafening howl louder than the atrocious noises in the hall. Something faster than light swept from behind me, slamming the men attacking me on the wall. The same ripped off the necks of the men attacking Zahir and all other men in a blink of an eye. It lunged at Mayavi, bu

[Zeve’s POV] The person who always reached me before the danger reached me because he was the greatest danger in my life. It was Amor, of course. Who else? But the crown prince’s question made me wonder who exactly was Amor to me? Killer of my mate? An alpha forcing me to be his luna? The person who pushed me to the edge where I wanted to end my life. Or just Amor Blaze, who mysteriously shattered my anxiety in his embrace, every single time. Who pretended to be cold as ice, but his small gestures were warmer than any words or promises. The one who granted me freedom and didn’t stop me from laughing or being me. His only condition was that I stayed by his side. I couldn’t even decide if he was good to me or bad? On one hand, he maintained all the limits and on the other hand crossed them all. For a second, he would be kind and the other a stone with no emotions. He would let no one hurt me, but would end up hurting me himself. Then he would eat the cold food himself and always m

[Zeve’s POV] “Nothing, that’s a political matter. But how is it even possible, Zeve? How can someone control non-living things like that?” I was shocked too, but not from the fact of magic actually existing. But from the fact that it existed in someone else, too. Strange things had happened all around me ever since I was a kid. And that was the main reason people didn’t come near me. But what scared me more was — what would Amor do if he came to know that magic was all around me as well? Even though it was not as obvious as Mayavi’s, yet it happened several times when my emotions went out of control. Like burning that dress in the royal inn, then Amor’s sword swimming in my hand in that lake and then me teleporting on the rooftop when I jumped from it. He seemed to have not noticed those events, and I was grateful. There were so many questions, emotions, feeling all surging like a tsunami within me, but the person standing in front of me was falling apart because of his failure a
