Chapter 51 - Enchanted
Emma Grey   Was this the right direction?   My legs had grown tired, having to run all the way here. How lucky I was that I had managed to stumble into the marks carved to the trees. It means I had somehow made it closer to the camp, where I could at least recognize one or two of the tracks. Away from the unalive forest Sir Joshue had forced me into.   And there would be no way I would want to stay there any longer, that place was basically ghostly. Though, isn't it odd that he seemed to be so well versed even with that part of the area.    Well, I knew he was the leader and he should observe the territory wholly. Still, shouldn't he at least do something with the woods, trimming it so that we could all benefit from it.

Chapter 52 - Scented
Nathan Black   Why am I always late?    It was frustrating, how I could never be where I was supposed to promptly when I needed to? And to make it even worse than it already was, no matter what I do, Sir Joshue would always be a step further from me.   It's not that I hadn't realized how alarming the stares he had given to mother when we were here eight years ago. Even with my young age, I could already decipher the look he had which was nothing but treacherous.   And with only a look from father, I was instantly on my feet to go after her. Though, I was sure that he would have gone there himself if not for the sly woman holding him back. As if everything was purposely planned to separa

Chapter 53 - Miraculous
Emma Grey   "Nathan!"   Oh, god. If there's anything I could wish for right now, it was for them to stop. Seeing his back collided with the tree had my concerns heightened than it already had.   The more the claws dug into Nathan's skin, the more curses breathed out of my lips towards Sir Joshue.   My fingers clenched into the ground, gripping into the dirt of earth with him groaning in pain. Was he alright? His name almost rolled out of my tongue again when he finally pushed himself on his feet.   The grunts only lasted for a second before Nathan launched towards him, yet again leaving another wound into the Sir Joshue's back.

Chapter 54 - Conceited
Nathan Black It was unintentional. The whole point of me scenting her as of now was to showered her with the utmost comfort I could give. And yet, here I was, lost in the sweetness of her roses that I couldn't help myself but to shorten the invisible gap there was between us. Having my nose directly muffled to where her scent extensively emitted had almost had me weak to my knees. I had already whipped with only a whiff of her roses, now that it was this close, I almost lost all my senses. I was too addicted to her that I, without realizing it, had purred. With how close our bodies were to each other, I was most definitely sure she could feel the vibrations transmitted to her body. It had me frozen for a second bit, mind spiraling to the newfound fact I had just discovered. When was the last time I had been in so much peace that I fucking purred onto someone? That's right, never. She was the first to have me abandon all the turmoils whirling in my mind to only bask myself to her

Chapter 55 - The Burning Hope
Emma Grey Was there anything I could do to appease this suffocating air? My throat went dry with how much of the poisonous air I unconsciously inhaled, all reek with grilling black smoke that had begun to obscure my sight. And even my eyes had watered, having it stinging my pupils as I blinked it repetitively. Another cough left my throat as whisked of smoke filling my system, infusing my lungs even more. It was getting even more strenuous to breathe in the air giving the thick smoke surrounding us now. My hand flew to cover my nose, attempting to ward off the smoke that had scrambled into my senses. Seeing the flames ablaze a couple of feet away from where we were had my mind spiral with restlessness. We had to escape from this place, fast. I could already feel the heat of the raging fire from where I stood, I couldn't imagine how it was for him. With them being closer to where it had mostly spreaded, the fire must've roasted them greatly. If the heavy pants on both men in fr

Chapter 56 - Unknown Agony
Nathan Black “Nathan! Watch out!” Emma's reverberating voice echoed through the forest, alarmingly filled with terror as my eyes met those distasteful features. One I had hoped to never again cross paths with. What the fuck was Xena doing here? My teeth gritted, tightening my jaw to the unrequested guest while both of my hands had roughly pinned Sir Joshue to the ground. Shit, what should I do? She clearly had prepared to pounce over in our direction. With my hand being full, forbidding him from attempting any other charges towards me had made my back open for other attacks to slip by. Of course, by her. The growl underneath me was clear as daylight, snickering to the situation I was in. I huffed a loud breath frustratingly, knowing the limitation of choices I was given as of now. I had to be more cautious than I had been before. With the additional wounds from the brawl, and the gashes on my back that had unceremoniously gotten even larger now, another attack from her wo

Chapter 57 - Everlasting Bond
Emma Grey "I said let me go, you insolent child!" The gripped I had around her tightened, unconsciously making her writhing in pain from the pressure I had put against her wounded back. Pretty sure now she knew how it felt to receive those scarly hits. It wasn't fun when you were on the receiving end, wasn't it? Her nails were gripping and pushing on my shoulder, stinging my skin that even the cotton fabric couldn't shield me from her rough touch. But, I could take it, considering how used I was, immune if I were to exaggerate to her harsh demeanor. Truth to be told, my attention had actually been on her since I had landed on the ground, along with mom. All the time, though my hands were full, snaking itself around the perpetor, my eyes hadn't once left Elena. Recalling the way she had played around my back for how many years, no one would have guessed what she could've done to me this time around. However, what seemed to be very odd in this whole situation was definitely her.

Chapter 58 - The Fallen Rain
Nathan BlackWhere was she?My legs time by time padded to a slower pace as it brought me to the all familiar places, one where I had left her in the hand of that worthless creature. What was I thinking when I knew what Xena had done to her, and how abusive she could be when it comes to her?I could never discard the memory that had awfully planted itself in my mind, as if I was experiencing it all over again the night we ambushed through her house.Starting from the scent of blood freshly reek itself even while we were still outside of the house, to the moment I busted into her room, only to witness her life almost slipping away from her body. I felt my throat swell just by the very thought of it, that it could easily happened again if I were to be stupidly careless. Can’t these legs swing faster, for god sake. It felt as though the world had moved slower than it had actually been, with my mind often directed to her being. The area that once seemed eerie had morphed into a much gri

Chapter 59 - Better Self
Emma Grey "Emma! Move!"My head tilted to the now falling branch just a mere feet away from me, as I felt my feet frozen to the ground.I should've moved, I certainly know that. And yet not an ounce of power surged through me to push myself to escape. It was as if my surroundings suddenly went blurred, everything had been in slow motion that I did nothing but stare at the fallen object. Was it the smoke? Had I inhaled too much of it for my body to coincidentally feel numb? Or was it because of my shifting? That I hadn't used to its transformation that my vision went unfocused.Either way, one of it must've been the reason for the overwhelming throb in my head, so painful that my skull surely had shaken. My throat felt like it was burning that all I could produce was a stifled whine. And damn it! Why was it so loud out here? Where did those ringings come from?Long before I knew it, my body had violently fallen to the ground, though the numbness had protected me from any kind of pain

Chapter 60 - Sudden Disappearance
Nathan BlackShe's in a slumber again. It must be extremely exhausting to shift for the first time, as it took a high focusing level to do that. And with a lot of training. It reminded me of when Ethan had first turned into a wolf, all excited that he was happily jumping around me and mother.Though when he shifted into his human form, he immediately fell to the ground. He couldn't move a single limb, similar to her, that he had started crying. Not stopping until mom had her fingers slipped through his hair, patting him into sleep. My hand softly ran through her hair, lulling her to her contentment. It was all thanks to my mother that I could calm her down from her anxiousness.A sigh left my lips as I took in her features, so peaceful that I wished she hadn't had to go through all those painful stages of her life.As much as relieved sipped through me seeing her peace and well, the fatigue that I never realized piling inside my body finally came out. Slowly moving my hand away from
