Olivia's POV: I looked at Micah, who was on my lap, and sighed for a second time. She was still scared, even when I was right there with her. After I had woken up feeling very well-rested and at peace, I took a shower and helped Micah prepare too because she was already awake before me. When Alec had asked me to assist him last night, he later changed his mind and told me to go back. Dinner was awkward because, for some reason, no one was talking. Micah slept peacefully and woke up okay, but after a bath, she was acting up. "Honey, are you okay?" I asked softly. Before she could respond, the door opened and Alec walked in. "Morning," I greeted with a smile on my face, then frowned when Micah buried her face in my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and looked at Alec, who was standing in front of me. "I'm so sorry about her. She is obviously shy," I lied. He leaned in and kissed my cheek softly, then pulled back. "Good morning," he greeted. "Good morning," I answered. "Tod

Damon's POV: "Should we get out of bed?" Sherry asked softly as I shook my head. "No," I answered simply. I loved that we were trying a lot of things that made both of us comfortable in bed. The sad part was that I didn't want to stop touching her or step out of the bedroom to work. "Damon, we have been in here for days," she whined, making me laugh. "I know, but I don't want to get into the office and look at the files. I'm sure by now they must have piled up. My warriors record almost every important detail, from training to posts," I answered. "Get up now, you have to look at them. Remember the Beta isn't back yet," she pointed out. I grabbed her by the waist and moved her closer, kissing her head gently. "I know," I whispered, then froze when I heard a car loudly honk. "I'm back, Alpha," Alec mind-linked me. I quickly got out of bed and put on my boxers and trousers. "Get up, honey. Alec has returned," I announced, then went to the wardrobe and grabbed a shirt, putting

Alec's POV: "Why am I in the office when you're the one who's supposed to be in here?" Damon asked seriously. I had a feeling he hadn't been working or looking at the files while I was away, but gosh! How could he just do nothing about his work? "Alpha, aren't you going to help out with work in any way?" I asked back. "No," he answered with a warm smile. "Is this my punishment for being your friend and Beta?" I asked playfully. "It's actually your blessing. Now, why am I here?" he asked. "I need a favor," I answered. "And what is it?" he asked. "I want you to call Lee over," I answered. "Is there a problem?" he asked seriously, concerned. "Not really, I just want him to help me out with something," I answered. He pressed his hands on the table and raised a brow. "I'm assuming you won't tell me what kind of help you need, and that's just so wrong," he muttered in a low tone, then stood up and pulled out his cell phone from his pocket. "Since when do you carry your phone e

Debby's POV: I sighed for the second time while stirring the soup in the pot. I had been given money by Damon, yet I had no idea how to use it. By now, I was supposed to find someone who would help me deliver and, at the same time, find something for myself to do. My main fear was how people would react in the delivery room if, by chance, my wolf pulled through. They would run out in fear. I couldn't go back to Damon's pack or Johnson's, and I knew no one here who would help me. "I don't know what to do," I whispered to myself, then turned off the stove and walked out of the house, deep in thought, to get some fresh air. "Good to see you here," Jay's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I frowned as I looked around in shock. I had no idea how I found myself where he was when all I wanted was to think things through alone and get some fresh air. "How are you, beautiful?" he greeted. "Crap," I whispered, and then turned to walk away. "Debby, wait," he called loudly, stopping

Alec's POV: "Are you going to go in with mama to change?" Micah asked as she licked her candy. "No," I answered with a smile. We were waiting for Olivia to step out of the changing room so we could see the clothes she had chosen. "Aren't you going to sit down next to me?" She asked. "I will soon," I answered. My mind was going back to what Lee had said to me back at the pack. "I cleared most bad memories from her, but that's not how one should be or grow up. Bad memories are the ones that molds one into the adult they are or molds their decision to be better at something or who they are. That child's memories means a lot, that's why my wiping won't be permanent. When she reaches the age of sixteen, she will remember everything and she will be able to make her own decision if she wants to ever forgive you or not. I suggest you start being a perfect father figure for her, that way she would understand what you did that for," he said. "Alec, is this that bad?" Olivia asked in a
