ADOLPHLegs crossed, hands tapping nervously on his thighs, Adolph tried to keep calm as they approached the gates of the castle. Finally, they were in Alaska, in his hometown rather, and when they had arrived in the pack house, passing through tents, wooden bricked houses, and some modern houses too, Adolph had kept his sight at alert as he kept looking outside taking note of his surroundings. Even though the atmosphere was cold, with the sun still appearing, Adolph could see many people standing at the front of their houses. He could see able bodied men, women too and children of course, and they were all waving palm leaves in the air as they passed, beaming with smiles on their face this early morning, as they were already welcoming him. It was evident that they already knew about his arrival, and even though the gesture warmed his heart a bit, making him feel welcome, Adolph couldn't hold back the anxiety of the whole situation. Coupled with the fact that he had a witch at the

ADOLPHThe dark mist of sorrow hovered over everyone. Almost all the people in the hall, and even the sorcerer performing the burial rites, was dressed in black. It had been two days since his arrival at Alaska. He had pretty much done nothing all throughout, and during these past few days, he had stayed in the castle, unbothered and undisturbed, only coming in contact with his close family relatives, such as his father's best friend Collins Hart, and some other relatives he needed to know about from his mother's side too. Also, Adolph had been introduced to his second in command, and beta of the Keanu pack and clan, Connor Alcide, and his third in command too, Ralph Romulus, who was actually his cousin, and Fenris's son. They were all around him today, here to lend their moral and physical support to him. In the past few days also, they had made preparations about the burial, and also plans for his induction ceremony which was coincidentally going to happen the same day of the b

ADOLPH“Who is she?" Adolph inquired, his hands pleated behind his back, as he watched the pretty red haired lady Connor had bid farewell too from the castle's corridor, scamper away hurriedly but with a smile on her lips. "Oh..." Connor trailed of walking towards him with a smile, "Ah... I see I have not told you about my girl. Well there you have it, the woman who seemed to have enraptured my heart. She is the love of my life, and my mate, Laura Hart. A smile ghosting his lips, Adolph stood still not moving or saying anything for a while, as he watched his beta and second in command, Connor, go on and on about the beautiful lady in his life, his childhood sweetheart actually, and he felt more than happy for him. From the way Connor spoke, his actions, the way his face lit up at the mention of that name Laura… Adolph didn’t need a soothsayer to tell him, that his second in command was utterly smitten, in love and enamored with this being. He blinked twice, his heart tightening not

RUBY’S POVRuby stood outside the large door, that housed the walls of the great hall, or royal palace where Adolph Caesar, was currently waiting for her. That’s what the guard, that had led her through from the maid quarters to this particular spot where she was standing at, had told her.True to his words, Just like he had said that night, he had called for her, and now she stood arms folded, trembling slightly as she wondered what their conversation would be like. Also she wondered if he would be soft with her like he had been that night, or if he would act all strict with her today, considering that this meeting was held in the great hall, in broad daylight, with guards lurking and alert, and not in the confines of the dark earlier.A tremor ran down her spine yet again, and she cracked her knuckles slowly, her feets still unmoving as she was still gathering the courage to walk inside.“Is anything the matter?” Ruby’s frozen feets instantly swiveled towards the directing of whoeve

SOME DAYS LATER RUBYRuby let out a soft hiss, as the carriage drove down the road that led to Helene’s shack. Finally, after two days since she’d began this journey she was finally in her destination. No sooner than some minutes, she would be in that small cottage of horror, and she would be demanding for her sister. She was feeling nostalgic all of a sudden, emotional to say, and even though she still hadn’t set her eyes on Daciana, Ruby could only imagine what her poor sister had gone through ever since her escape.Ruby felt guilty that she didn’t come to pick her earlier as promised, but finally she was here, and soon Helene, and her wicked daughters would be a thing of the past. The carriage lurched forward, interrupting her train of thoughts, and her eyes widening she wanted to inquire on what the matter was, but it seemed they had just encountered a minor bump as the carriage began to move again.Shooting her head outside the small window, letting the cool breeze whip past her
