Fighting Fate의 모든 챕터: 챕터 11 - 챕터 20

ROCCO Be proud of me here, I didn’t go charging in demanding to be seen. I didn't take a big bunch of flowers or an invitation to dinner. I am going to play her at her own cold game. I spent at least an hour pondering my next move. Admittedly fifty-eight minutes of it were spent trying to get hold of Callum to get his buy-in for the Alpha’s new venture. Business partners or hostages he'd grimly joked. A good portion of my time was spent fending off jokes from Jacob about the disgusting state of my office too. I ordered the new desk by the way.But here we are a week later, I have a clean, spunk-free desk and a suit made for seducing on. Fabulous. Getting up at a decent hour in the morning was a trial instead of my usual lazy lie-in but such sacrifices must be made sometimes. I went for a deep navy, almost black suit, white crisp shirt and a matching navy tie. The Godiva Corporate Entertainment office was as soulless and predictable as one would expect.

SELENE“Honestly you should have heard Jax all afternoon,” I moaned to Troy as he sat on the end of my bed. His long brown hair fell down to his shoulders and his green eyes squinted at me as I put on some red lipstick.“You don’t need that shade,” he groaned, “it’s too much, I keep telling you.”“Just because you’re gay doesn’t mean you know everything about fashion you know. It doesn’t go hand in hand with liking guys,” I smirked, ignoring him as I applied the final touches.“I'm an expert on you, not fashion. You know that dress is going to wreck this guy. I’m very proud of myself to be honest,” he mocked as he lay back onto my mattress and looked up at the ceiling.

ROCCO My kiss was returned just as greedily. Suit jacket clenched tightly in her fists, jerking me forward. I had one hand on her bare back, revelling in the softness of her skin. Tingling electric followed my hand as it felt up and down keeping her close to me. My other hand was bunched into her hair, twirling blonde curls.I was sunk. Utterly sunk by this gorgeous woman. I moved to kiss her neck as she tilted her head sideways and let out a little sigh of pleasure. My blood racing like an express train, my roving hand trailed down her back and found her round, peachy ass. I couldn't help squeezing it, like a helpless moth to a flame."No panties, what are you doing to me?" I groaned into her neck."It's all your

TWO WEEKS LATER – FULL MOONSELENESensible, boring Selene has been in full control of my life from the second that bastard uttered his cheap line. Two weeks might have passed but still I moan relentlessly at Troy. He's listening, just, but I can tell the patience is wearing thin. Having to hear Jax rave after each of her lunch meetings with him isn't helping. The very next day, Rocco rang Jax's desk asking if he could take her to lunch. The fucker. Yes it was business, a casino launch takes a lot of planning, things to discuss but still. Jax raved to the whole office about how fabulously he had treated her, a lavish bouquet of flowers arrived soon after thanking her for her support on the project. He'

SELENEI have never checked into a hotel as fast in my life. Like an edgy KGB informant I quickly skirted around the foyer, keeping out of sight, ducking my head down, until safely in the elevator. After locking the door behind me I stayed there, hands pressed against the white wooden frame. Whether it was to make sure I stayed in it or to keep someone out was a question I didn't dare ask myself.Resting my head against the door I sighed in frustration. Even though he'd embarrassed me a fortnight ago I couldn't help my stomach flipping and toes curling at the way he looked at me. Those brown eyes were devilish. Like whirlpools they just sucked me in every time.Turning around, I tilted my head back against the door, lightly tapping my skull as though it would knock
