I got out of the car immediately they were out of my line of sight and walked briskly towards the door. Of course, they had been so busy they left the door open.I could not help but wonder what she had offered them to make them leave like that, I never though he would get so engrossed in a woman, then again, there were a lot of things I never thought Tyler could do that he was currently doing. The house was cleaner than I though, I half expected it to be messy, unkept or who knows what, but apparently Tyler kept it pretty neat and down to earth, I would have given him credit but we had broken up according to me and I was petty.I took a few confident steps into the house and checked each room, The house looked prettier than I remembered, it seemed Tyler had taken that remodeling I suggested a bit to far, especially with the purple walls, I was sure I did not mean that he could paint his walls my favorite color. But each to their own right?I checked each room that was in the house a

"E–em-Emily! Emily! Call an ambulance! Emily!" I screeched, I heard loud footsteps and a stumble, and I heard shuffling as well but I did not dare look away from the body in front of me.At this rate, there would be a trail of dead bodies after me. And it would be all my fault Matilde, Jared, and now, Edward. I could not help but wonder, Who was next? Mrs. Amber? Charlotte? Emily? Leo or Tyler? Someone could be next and my heart ached at the thought, I had to stop this man before he completely ruined my life and I needed to do it soon.I scrambled up to my feet, my hands shook and I could barely see through my blurred vision, I had seen too many dead bodies in less than three days, I took a few steps toward the living room and almost ran into Emily,“I’ve called 911, what do we do now? Do we wait?” She asked. I shook my head and glanced at all the files that were scattered around.“The person that murdered Edward wanted something, something that was very important, they turned this p

"I see you are not going to confess anytime soon." The Scarlett-haired woman spat as she stared me down, her gaze was stiff and icy cold but I matched it and my lips pursed. Straight line."I have nothing to talk to you about, I already said I am innocent and I have nothing more to discuss with you, I want to see my lawyer now! And what about my phone call? I know my rights, this is illegal!" I snapped."Don't you dare try to tell me what is illegal and what is not illegal!" She boomed back at me, I licked my lips and tried to control my breathing. "Lower your voice," She suggested and pointed a finger at me. "I know my rights." My voice was calmer and I kept my eyes on her, We had been going back and forth ever since I got here and she had completely dismissed my request to make a phone call or reach out to my lawyer. We were currently in the interrogation room and she was trying her absolute best to intimidate me, I was tempted to tell her I had been through much worse and she cou

"Are you okay?" I initially assumed that it was Leon who was speaking but I was stunned when I locked eyes with Delores and gradually registered the fact that we were the only ones in the room."I'm fine, I responded, I don't like having anything forced on me," I added softly,Her lips curved into a small smile like mine usually would, She squinted with her eyes and I saw her body relax, "Should have thought about that before you did what you did," She shot back and turned away from me, I was almost sure she was heading out the door when she paused in front of the table that was a few feet from me and grabbed the chair. "I didn't do anything," I assured.Delores glanced up at me and I find to see the distrust and desperate urge to contain her anger in her eyes, instead of bursting out like a volcano, She beckoned me to come and seat with her hand and I obeyed."Why did you do it?" She asked, her tone was free of judgment but her eyes flashed with pain and frustration."I didn't do a

"Danielle!" My eyes snapped open when I heard that voice, something about the tone and manner sent me to my feet with a creased forehead, I furrowed my eyebrows and stared ahead."Danielle!"The voice roared again, it was closer and I could make out whose voice it was at this point, I bit hard ok my bottom lip and heard shifting by my side, I could barely register the shuffling when the cell gate opened and someone slammed straight into me.My face must have contorted in confusion as I locked eyes with Leon, She looked furious. Her breaths were heavier than the sound of her voice and her eyes had dark circles under them. with a spark of rage I was familiar with, She had dried tear tracks on her face and from the way, her hair invaded my skin — It was no longer in a bun.It took me a few seconds to register that I was now on the floor and another second for me to register that she was slapping me across the face from left to right, I tried to push her off me without attracting some pena
