ChaseI left my room, feeling disgusted and angry with myself, needing to find Lyse. I could feel her fear through the bond.‘Ryker’, I linked‘Yeah.’, he answered.‘Don’t kill her. Put her in a silver and wolfsbane lined cell. Then find me. I’m headed to the fields. I have a feeling she’s there. I’ll deal with that bitch when I get back.’, I said.‘On it. I already got some information for you.’, he said.‘Find the Luna, Chase.’I shifted midair at the edge of the forest, the need to find my mate paramount. I was feeling all sorts of things through the link. Her anger, jealousy, fear. Havoc ran faster, scenting her in the flower fields. Right as I crossed into them, I felt overwhelming love through the bond, and sadness.I looked across the field and saw her underneath sulfur and death himself, the stench almost overpowering. He was licking her marking spot, preparing her for his mark.Fuck that.Havoc sprang through the air, knocking him away from her, teeth ripping into the scruff

AnnalyseI’m so excited to see Cass. I miss being able to just shift and run, even though Bella understands it’s for safety reasons. I was still stir crazy though and Cass coming to visit for a few days will be a great distraction.Chase sent his driver, Benny to pick her up and I made sure that Chase was okay to let her stay in his mom’s old room since I had become a permanent fixture in his.I pulled my bag out from under my bed, intending to finish up some last minute stuff for graduation. My dad and Chase’s had already spoken to the school and I would finish up the remaining classes online, another safety measure. A few minutes into my studying, a knock sounded on the door.I hopped up, expecting to see Cass, bouncing around in excitement. Instead, a note slid under the door.Confused, I picked it up and slid it out of the envelope.I started shaking as I read the note.Young Astrydian,We found your friend on her way to see you and have invited her to join us for a visit instead.

AnnalyseI felt the bond snap into place as soon as Chase sank his teeth into my skin.“There’s something else you need to know about this, though it’s a little late to go back now.”, he said, looking into my eyes before quickly looking away.“What?”, I asked, feeling concern and what felt like guilt through our newly formed bond.He looked away, running his hand through his hair.“Just tell me, Chase. I can feel that something’s off.”, I said, grabbing his chin, pulling him to face me.“I’m Lycan, Lyse.”“Yeah, I know. And?”, I pressed.“And me marking you is going to force a shift.”“Ohh kay”, I said slowly, looking at him for some kind of clarification.“You’ll become a hybrid with that shift, Lyse. You’ll become part Lycan.”, he said, the shock evident in my face, I was sure.“What does that mean, Chase?”, I asked.“Let’s get the piece of shit who tried to claim you as his back to the cells first, then we’ll talk.”“Ryker?”, Chase apple, looking to his Beta.“Take him to the Silve

“So, wait? The guy that took me to get to you is some kind of evil alpha?”, Cass asked as we sat stuffing our faces. Who knew being kidnapped would male us so hungry?“Yeah, apparently. Supposedly, he has or had some oracle who told him that I was the key to power that would control all packs or something. I’m not entirely clear on all of it.”, I told her, trying to process all that had happened myself.“I think that Chase and Ryker might be down in the cells now, questioning him about all of it. I wanted to go too, but Chase was adamant that I stay here, near Harry.”, I said as I shot a look and a wink over my shoulder at him, standing so stoic next to the doorway of the kitchen alcove where we were sitting.“Is everything to your liking?”, Tilda asked as she came to clear our plates and bring more iced tea.“Everything is amazing, Tilda.”, I replied, smiling up at her.I furrowed my brow as I thought for a moment.“Hey, Tilda?”“Yes, Luna?”I scowled as I looked at her, “Lyse. Pleas

Fuck! I had been so close. She was almost mine to do with as I wished. I shouldn’t have wasted any time. And after seeing that sweet pussy on display for the taking, I should have just done it. Then her body and abilities would have been mine. There’s still a way though. She hasn’t marked him yet. The bond isn’t solidified. They haven’t yet mated since he marked her either. Unless that’s where they were now.Diablo seethed at the thought. Her wolf had enchanted him, and he was fierce with wanting. The thought of them finishing the bond had us both anxious and angry. I was meant for more and I would have it. I was made to rule. The oracle had stated so. The only one in my way was the new Lycan King.I glanced up when I heard footsteps headed my way. It was the only way they could be headed. I had noticed upon my unfortunate arrival that this was the only cell here. It was silver and I could feel power pulsing off of it, almost as though it was enchanted somehow. I had attempted to shif
