If Ed had not come in at that moment, I just knew I would have been dead meat. His entrance was a distraction to Dan and before Dan could pay attention to me, I was out of there and hiding behind Ed."What's going on?" He widened his eyes, looking at all the trash that the house had been converted to.Not too long after, there were police sirens around us. The police officer that showed up had gotten my phone calls and they had come to the aid.I explained myself to the first officer and they took Dan in after taking pictures of everything that had unraveled."How the fuck did he get in? That was so dangerous, he could have killed you." Ed said, looking around and shaking his head. "I don't know, i thought maybe you opened the door and let him in and then maybe he had turned everywhere upside down afterwards, this just fucking sucks." I ran my fingers through my hair, still unable to believe how much of a psychopath Dan had turned out to

"Wait, what?" I blinked in confusion."I'm just as confused as you are." He said with a shrug."Are you sure it's not a scam?" I wondered, peeking into his phone when he showed me the screen to read the content for myself and the email really was from a verified brand."This is insane!" I put my hands over my mouth, "I won't lie to you, I've never heard about this Marcello, but it sounds like it's really a big thing to happen to you!" I pulled him into a hug, forgetting all about the fact that he was still sweaty."I don't know how to feel." He ran his fingers through his hair. "Do you want to call your parents to ask them what this is about?" I said in a low voice, suddenly realising this might not be as good of a news as I thought. It would mean he had been lied to his entire life."They're gone." He sighed, "Celine is the only one I can talk to and honestly I doubt if she knows anything." He chuckled, "must explain why Celine and I loo

"What?" I repeated, waiting for the female voice on the other end to say it was a joke but she didn't. She was crying into the phone with so much pain. "What happened?!" I hopped to my feet, not sure exactly what it was I was looking for but I kept searching for flip flops, something to wear, just anything to get out of here fully dressed while Frank actively followed behind me to try to depict what had gone wrong just from the way I was behaving. "He called me that he needed a place to stay tonight that it was really urgent, he was driving all the way over and then I got a call that my son was involved in a fatal accident, I don't know if he had been over speeding or had been driving absent minded, but my son is gone." She informed me. I don't know what happened next because everything around me suddenly went pitch black.By the time I reopened my eyes, I was surrounded by Frank and Bianca and they had clearly been trying to revive me the entire time because ther

"Want me to make you some tea?" I asked Jane when it was night time and we had settled in. She was still gloomy and I didn't blame her."No thanks.""You haven't eaten all day, come on, you don't want to starve yourself do you?" I sighed. The Jane I knew would have celebrated what was happening wuth me in regards to Marcello but she didn't evenhen mention it once."What's the point of it, its not going to bring Ed back." She shook her head."Ed wouldn't have wanted this." I tried to pitch in an argument. "The Ed I know would not mind. He'd rather I suffered the consequences of my actions so I'd know not to do it next time, too bad he's gone." She laughed sarcastically. With a sigh, I gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead and exited the room "but if you need anything don't hesitate to fall."I joined Bianca in the ljving room."She's not joining in for Boys first?' She gave me a pitiful look and I shook my he

Frank and I took our seats and Frank didn't seem to notice the tension that was currently building between his supposed father and I."I know you were probably expecting me to come alone but sir, this is Jane." He pointed to me. I guessed he wasn't yet ready to use father son terms to regard him."Nice to meet you Jane." Marcello kept his composure but it was evident how uncomfortable he was with my presence. "Who is Jane to you?" He regarded Frank. I had not noticed that he was this man when I was browsing him through the Internet but seeing him in person certainly broke the crack."This is my girlfriend." Frank sounded proud of the fact and that was my first assurance. Frank knew what my background was and he had still stayed with me."Girlfriend?"Frank noticed now what was wrong. "Yes is there a problem?" He wondered. "I actually wanted to talk to you about a very disturbing call I received last night." He brought his phone out and sc

"How did that happen?" I panicked internally. I had not been settled when he had said he got that disturbing call and so soon she was gone."I don't know, I can't make any sense of it. I don't know if she went with someone but none of her teachers can place a knowledge of her whereabouts." Frank was starting to lose his breath. I feared that he would lose control and pass out. "Frank just calm down...""How can I? What's the poing of anything I'm doing then?" He snapped at me. I took no offense because I knew we were faced with a much deeper problem."Who else could have come for her?" I tried to see the positive to the situation rather than jumping to unhealthy conclusions."No one." His hands were trembling by now, no one else could have.""Not Celine?" I asked hopeful. "Not without asking me first." He shook his head."Come on let's ask her first." My heart was racing because I didn't know if she was actu

"Frank, what are we going to do?" I panicked internally. Frank was immediately stepping into action while I wondered what it was I could do to help. Two masked men had gotten into the car with us, "keep your hands where we can see them!" One of them bellowed on top of his voice. My only fear in that moment was Bianca. Although she was still asleep, I feared she would wake up to something that could possibly traumatise her for quite a while.Frank and I looked at each other and the men that had been helping us with driving and we were going to raise our hands when our driver suddenly pulled a gun out.My eyes went wide and he assured us with a scared look plastered on his face, "I'll handle this."The masked men seemed frightened in their countenance even though we could not see their reactions. My heart skipped knowing that these men had been driving with a gun this whole time but it did come off in handy now.It worked in our f

"Frank!" I yelled on top of my voice knowing I should leave to go get help but also not wanting to leave a hurt mam by himself. There was no way Frank would hear me even if I kept screaming on top of my lungs.I tried to help Marcello sit on the floor. He was still coughing hard and his nose bleed was worsening. "Just sit right here, I'll be back in a second." My chest rose and fall as I turned to leave and get help.Frank and Bianca were laughing over something by the time I showed up. They turned to look at me and when they saw the panic on my face, Frank left her side to stand by me, "Hey, are you okay? Did he do something to you?" He ran his eyes all over me to find an anomaly. I wished that was honestly the case."No," I shook my head fast, "Marcello, he's hurt." I swallowed and left his side.Frank hurried with me to the room where Marcello was and by the time we got there, he was unconscious, sprawled across the floor with blood streaming dow

"Morning babe." I stretched, sitting up in bed. It had been three months since Marcello died and that meant it had been three months since I'd been sleeping in this room every night but I was still yet to get used to the luxury of our bedroom. It still marveled me every single morning."Morning." Frank called back in a lazy voice, groaning as he said my name. He swung his arm around me as though we had nowhere to go.I gently slid his hand away and got to my feet, "come on babe, get up, we have places to be." I was attempting to move away when he held my wrist and forced me back down to the bed."Frank!" I chuckled at his behaviour. He opened his eyes and tried to settle himself on top of me. "Not even a little morning kiss.""Ew, your breath stinks." I said, dodging his kiss. When he leaned away from me, I planted a soft kiss on his lips and got to my feet, "you know we can't be lste for work." He groaned his disapproval and lazily got to his feet. I offered him a small smile, "come

When Frank left for work I decided to check on Bianca in her room where I knew she would be sitting on the bed with her iPad and her messy hair."Hey baby what's up?" I called after knocking and going in, closing the door behind me."Don't you have work to be at?" She rolled her eyes at me barely looking up from her iPad.I sat beside her on the edge of the bed, look baby girl I know you're upset but trust me dad is only trying to do what is best for us for you especially and on the bright side I decided to take today off working just so we could spend some time together so why don't you get yourself cleaned up and you and I just have some girl time." I spoke in an excited tone with hope that she would match my energy.I heaved a sigh, "Bianca you can't stop talking to me, OK what do you want to do?""I just want attention from my father is that too much to ask for, I'm just a child and he spends every single day of his life working and he doesn't listen to anything I want he thinks th
