Jaxson POV Fucking pregnany nympho… I swear, this girl will be the death of me. Unlocking the front door to my actual house and walking in was refreshing. It was a two story, mid century house that was designed for comfort. Earthy tones, carpet, light gray walls, with tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. It was home. Nothing about this screamed Alpha or money but love and comfort. It was my home to get away from everything. The walls were filled with pictures of my childhood and my life up until this point. Walking upstairs, there were three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a little family room that looked over the living room. The master bedroom had a king size bed in it with cotton white bedding. Jaxson POV The hot water spraying my back was doing little to ease the tension I was feeling. It was five fucking a.m in the morning. Pretty sure I didn’t sleep at all. Scarlet was like dead to the world. So much was riding on this but I just had a feeling that things weren’t going to be over after this, regardless of the outcome. I still had to find Penelope’s killer. If there is another assassin out there, that is bad news to us. Scarlet had to come and testify. It will be so much harder to keep her safe outside the walls of my pack. Any number of things could happen. We could get into a plane crash, car wreck or even someone could blow the court up.
