Nina’s pov. “Ah captain” Dean yelled with boisterous enthusiasm as we approached Lucas where we had left him at the beginning of the night as he chatted away with his friends. “Dean your wasted” Lucas chuckled in amusement at his friend and his intoxicated state, it seems Dean was the drunk of the group, as everyone watched him practically dragging me and kat across the living room. “I do, do don’t, maybe confirm that or deny that” he blubbered to everyone’s amusement. The weight of his arms becoming heavier and heavier by the second. “Surprise captain, I found your chick” he swayed spilling a few drops of his beer on me. “hay” I scolded, accidentally jabbing my elbow into his side as I tried to push at the guy’s arm in hopes to remove it from my shoulder, something I should have done the second he had place it there. “The fuck, you dumb British bitch” he fired with drunken anger, and I would be lying If I denied that I wasn’t feeling a large amount of fury of my own. “British b

Maverick’s pov- I bit my tongue to stop the growl that was threatening to rumble from within me. My wolf was furious as he looked through my eyes to the male that had intended to hurt Nina. He may not have succeeded in the task he had planned and set out to do but he nonetheless had hurt her all the same, I can see it with the unshed tears as she fired daggers into the back of the clown who now faced me. “Nina, get in the car” he demanded of her, and I curled my fingers into my fist to hide my claws, piercing the skin of my palms as I held on to every human trait of mine that I possibly could. It didn’t help that even me, the human side of me wanted to make Lucas pay for how he had treated her. it infuriated me how he so willingly would treat any female with such little respect for their body’s and their emotions. ‘Maverick’ Levi linked. I couldn’t tell if he was trying to gain my attention or warning me to keep control, but I couldn’t look at him to gage his facial expression, I co

Nina’s pov- “Well let’s go” He motioned for me to walk forward, and I ignored his demand. What the hell was he doing? I didn’t ask nor need him to walk me home, I was now more aware of my surroundings then I was that week I had arrived here. “I don’t need a chaperone” I crossed my arms across my chest to emphasise my frustration. I was mad, yes most of my anger and frustrations should be directed at Lucas but I couldn’t help but feel pissed off with Maverick too, I now couldn’t shake that feeling that he was playing games with me as well. Because of how he makes my body feel and how cloudy he makes my brain I had so obliviously looked over the fact that he was being hot and cold towards me at his house earlier, could it be that the betrayal of Lucas was making me see clearer? “Mein Schatz, du bist so frustrierend. I am not letting you walk alone with your track record of getting lost” he closed the distance motioning for me to start the long walk but yet again I made no move only th

Nina’s pov- This handsome and rather muscular guy was literally quivering beneath my touch, and I was so utterly pleased yet amused that I of all people could do that to him. With one swift and skilful movement Maverick had my chin in his hands and his lips against mine in the most breathtakingly caught off guard kiss of my entire life and I could do nothing but melt against him, my knees instantly buckling beneath me, and my senses scrambled at the sudden yet absolutely welcomed invasion. His lips firm but soft against mine, his tongue gentle as he swallowed my breathless moan of pleasure and if I wasn’t drunk enough before, I for sure was drunk now. The movement of our kiss slowed, both short of breath as his lips stilled against mine, his hand holding me in place at the base of my neck and I was so entranced with the euphoric action I couldn’t move, I stayed put waiting patiently for his next move but the wait was short lived as he gently placed his lips to mine for the shortest y

Maverick’s pov- I was riddled with excitement. My wolf was hyped giving me the energy of a pup on a sugar rush. I smell her scent from here meaning she wasn’t far from pulling up the drive. “Look at him he’s all giddy and happy it makes me sick” Axel remarked, and I took my attention to him for a split second to flip him off. “Ah the bitter smell of jealousy” Carson chuckled his amusement. “Jealous?” Axel scoffed “Jealousy is for chicks” he pushed himself off the countertop, placing his now empty cereal bowl into the sink before turning back to face me. “I am sincerely happy for you bro” he grinned widely at me, and I could tell he was being genuine. it was surprising how accepting my brothers have been. From what we are aware of, werewolves are territorial and adding a female to the mix was always cause for various displays of dominance. The backdoor opened and in walked Levi “wash your bowl” he fired at Axel as he made his way to the fridge and Axel did as ask without a single c
