101 - To Tend a Baby
Katara's POV When I woke up the next morning, Kai was not by my side. I reached my hands out to feel the side of the vast bed that he had been lying and there, it was cold. An indication that he had left way earlier than I thought. I tried not to get very angry at the thoughts of him leaving me in a room that was not ours. He was not anywhere around and I was angry. The light from the outsides of the chambers spilled into the room from the windows...The morning sun and the air that swept through the room made me yearn Kai's company but I was not about to have it. He had left me again once again proving that he valued all the affairs and duties of his position over me. It was unnerving. I had expected to wake up in his hands once after a very long time but that had not happened. As I turned around, there was my dress, neatly folded and placed somewhere far off. It was on the chair. Had he folded my dress with his own hands? It was a bit difficult to believe. He had done that probab

102 - To Search For the Antidote
Perhaps, I had walked past the shelf that held the antidote? I started to walk back again scrutinizing each shelf and taking more time to look at the labels before proceeding to the next shelf...By the time I reached the last shelf which I was sure I had checked before, there was a bottle sitting alone on one side of the shelf and it was written there, "Insect sting". I reached out and pulled out the bottle from the shelf and I saw the drawings on it then. There were many different insects drawn on it. My eyes roved through the bottle and I saw there, the same insect that Sterling had described. I could not take the bottle out of the room and so I was not going to take the bottle out of the room. I tried to open the bottle and see the content if it was liquid or solid. The lid refused to come open and I tried very hard to open the lid.Perhaps, it had been a very long time since the bottle was opened and there was no doubt, it was one of those antique things in the castle. 103 - To Give Up
"Well, just turn the bottle and the content will come out. Don't look inside, it will always look empty as long as you are looking inside." She said. She knew what I did not know. I shook my head in amazement as I turned the bottle over the container I was holding and the content of the bottle came out. It filled the bottle and when it was going to get full, I stopped turning and placed the bottle back in its place. I now had the cure to the bite that had almost claimed the life of Sterling's child. As I left the room and headed back to the chambers where Sterling and Morticia where waiting with the baby, I wondered if her husband, Beta Abramo had not known of the illness and the cure. Perhaps, he should have asked the Alpha to get it for him and make his child well again. Well, the Alpha and I just returned. I sighed again. "I was really scared you were going to make a mistake back there at the room, my Lady. I am glad we are now returning without trouble and any much difficulty."

104 - To Fight Over The Baby
I extricated the baby from Sterling and let him lie on the bed, he was so tender and innocent and undeserving of death and I was suddenly strengthened. I had the sudden urge to see that he was completely fine and so I picked the antidote and emptied it in his mouth. He did not move. He continued to lie there, motionless. I turned to look at everyone who was in the room with me.Sterling was still crying but this time, she was not screaming and it was no longer Morticia that was holding her but her husband, Abramo. She was resting her head on Abramo and he was stroking her head. The sobs quietened as we all anticipated at least a movement from the baby who was now the focus in the room. After waiting for so long and the baby did not respond to the antidote, Sterling began to wail again and this time, Abramo had an even harder time trying to help her stop. She was enraged with the grief and severally, she made to snatch the baby off the bed and cling to it but she was restrained by h

105 - To Be Emotional
There was a great deal of relief in the room as Sterling carried her baby. The other two maids went out with her as she bowed and left after thanking Katara and I profusely.I was happy for her too. Abramo was now standing with Katara and I. When I had first returned, he had told me of the condition of the child and of how much the child needed an antidote. The thing was, only the Luna of each pack could enter into the room with the antidotes and only she could administer it... no other person had the right to touch or administer the drugs so I had come back with him so we could get Katara to go and get an antidote but luckily for us, she had already done that...Maybe we would have been a bit late and would have lost the child as Abramo has feared but the child had survived."Thank you so much, my Luna." He said again and bowed deeply. Katara nodded...I was surprised when few minutes ago, she had been very emotional. I was not counting on ever seeing her so emotional but she had

106 - To Enjoin Feelings
Katara's POV By the time I was dressed up for dinner, Kai had not stepped a foot into our chambers and I had an inkling he was going to use the same room he had used the previous night. We were going to dine and wine and as usual, he was not the one escorting me down to dinner. Once, he had appointed a particular guard to me and he was saddled wit the job of seeing me down to dinner every evening."You look very good tonight, my Lady." The young guard complimented me for the first time and I smiled. It warmed me."Thank you so much, gentleman." I said as he took the lead down to the dinner table. For a long time, I had not sat alone with Kai at dinner. Sometimes, I had ate alone and at other times, with the maids and he had always had his dinner brought up to him.Unlikely of the Alpha, that. But he did not mind. I sat right opposite him. I was going to have dinner with him alone. Not with my maids, not in the company of Abramo and it was a hell of tension that clung to me. Mort

107 - To Make a Ring Promise
Katara's POV When I woke up the next morning, I felt like the most beautiful woman the world had ever seen because beside me was Kai and when I lifted my eyes to him, he was wide awake. He had not been sleeping... he had been watching me sleep."Good morning, beautiful–"He said. It was all like a dream... I had woken up with him by my side and he was calling me beautiful... I did not recall he last time he had said that to me."Good morning my Lord." I said with mock bashfulness. He laughed and held me... his hand rested on my breasts and his manhood pressed against my bottom... he was aroused. He had the morning erection and being in bed with him was a cause for my own turn on... he slipped into me easily as I parted my legs to let him have access. I was having the best morning of my life, yet. By the time Kai left me, I was a happy and satisfied woman who had gotten what she wanted and was satisfied for having it. I was happy. All the tension and anger and fury that had amassed

108 - To Exercise Self Control
Katara's POV He was not making empty threats and luckily for Alpha Alexei, he saw the seriousness in his eyes. His anger quelled... he began to speak in a more civil manner. "I want the ring back. The garden is in shambles. Some of the creatures escaped the garden and there was no way I could get them back to the garden without the ring. I need the ring back." He said. Kai did not say anything. He was breathing heavily the way he did sometimes when he was angry or battle ready. "I have an idea you are not the best Alpha there is." Kai said suddenly as his expression became relaxed. "There is not one who is the best Alpha. Not even you." Alpha Alexei replied while holding Kai's gaze. Kai's gaze did not waver, he continued to speak without flinching or batting an eyelid. "Well, none is. But you are far from the few who are regarded as good. Do I lie about this? I guess not. I do not want to pay evil for evil and it is for that reason that I will pardon you over how you treated my L

109 - To be Nostalgic Once More
Kai's POV When the me men had left and I no longer had the ring in my possession, I was relieved... Abramo left and went to see his wife and his child and it was just I and Katara alone in the courts. "There is a place I would like us to go sit and have some peace. You know it." I whispered to her... she was suddenly eager to go to the place even if she did not remember what place I was talking about. "I would want to be there... when do we leave?" She asked enthusiastically. She was indeed ready to be there. "Well, we will see how that goes in the next few hours before the afternoon sun gets really hot." I promised her... she nodded. "Do let me know when we shall leave ahead of time. Will I have to leave with my maids?" She asked... I shook my head. "It is going to be just the two of us. We will have some good time alone and then only come back when we are sated and feel good enough to return. *** By the time the sun was high in the sky, I was ready to leave with Katara..th

110 - To Replay Feelings For Each Other
Katara's POV He was not going to wait there for long too and like he said, I wanted to tour the place again after so long. I did not really have anything to make me love the place or remember it for good. Each time I remember the Artic pack and how I had lived, tortured and rejected, I feel only relief that I was eventually rescued and I could now have a life better than what I could have ever had at the Artic pack.We took long walks into the bushes and then came back to where we had tied our horses. We went into the city. All old houses, burnt up and a few were still standing. I walked around my former abode with Kai, the one who had ended the pack that rejected me. My father was cruel. He oppressed smaller packs and took what belonged to them ruthlessly. There was not one time that I was happy with that. I was never happy over a lot of things which my father, the Alpha of The Artic pack, Alpha Alaric did. I hoped and wished for the day I would be free from the pack since I wa
