Chapter 20As she walked into the classroom, she stopped abruptly as she was welcomed by the most horrible person she'd never want to see in her entire life, it was the guy that threw her hairpin away, Raymond. She gritted her teeth as she glared at him still standing on the spot. The fact that she saw him in the class pisses her off, and seeing him sitting on her seat, gosh! She felt like kicking his ass. She took a deep breath, trying to control the waves of anger that keep trying to consume her, and after a few minutes she finally walked up to him with her face burning in pure rage as she clenched her fist angrily. Once she got to his front, she threw him a disdainful look. As much as she wanted to teach him a lesson on the spot, she knew she needed to calm down. Being the class monitor, fighting was made strictly prohibited for her, and if not for that, she wouldn't spare him. But that doesn't mean that she wasn't going to get pissed if he dares to try

Chapter 22Ruby POVIt's late already and I wonder why Nina isn't coming home. I've been trying to reach for like forever now, but her line hasn't been going through, and it's disturbing. I picked up my phone and dialed her number for the umpteenth time, but still got the same result, so I was forced to give up. Laying on the bed, I covered myself with the duvet after turning off all the lights as I tried to get some sleep, but heck! My eyes were as bright as sunshine, and I couldn't sleep. I kept tossing on the bed, almost in tears. I'm not used to sleeping alone, I've never done it before so I'm not used to it. Back at home, I always sleep beside mom, and from the first day in school here, I've been sleeping with Nina in the room and it feels comfortable. A sudden breeze blew in through the window, swaying the curtain violently and my heart skipped like a million times. Gosh! I forgot to close the window. I sprang up from the bed

Chapter 24She slowly took her gaze to her mom, giving her a questioning look, as she anticipated her reply. As much as she wanted to pray that her mom told her that it wasn't true, she knew that was the case. "Wh...what are you talking, Lilly?" She asked her, whispering the last part as her eyes brimmed with tears. Her heart thumping heavily against her chest, her fear has finally come true, what she had been trying to hide for years has finally been out. "Why did you lie to me about dad's death?" Lilly asked, as she finally took her gaze to look at her, her eyes demanding an answer. "Tha...that? I told you, Lilly, your dad...""Was killed by a vampire." She cut her off, and her eyes slowly narrowed, as her mouth dropped open. The atmosphere tensed up, as silence assumed the air, the two staring at each other like they were doing some staring contest. "Wh...who told you that?" She asked, and Lilly sp

Chapter 26"Here..." He said, holding out something, and taking my gaze to his hand, my eyes almost popped out of their sockets. Wait! Isn't that my hairpin? "Wh...isn't...""I'm cool, aren't I?" He asked, and I scoffed. I snatched it from him then opened the door and stormed out of the car. I wanted to thank him, but hell no! After all, he made me pass through because of this hairpin, I can't thank him again, not now and not forever. "Hey! Not even a thank you?" I heard him yell at me but I strode to the entrance door and entered the dorm, not sparing him another glance. He can stay there for all I care. I strode through the hallway, till I got to the front of our door and I pushed the door open before making my way in. Stepping into the room, I breathed out as I threw myself on the bed, a smile laced up my lips. Seeing my hairpin in my hand, I couldn't be any less happy. I remembered how I cried my eyes out when I lost it, and having it back now, makes me kind of happy. I know yo

Chapter 28The thought of the incident from earlier keeps replaying in his head and he just couldn't help the scoff that keeps teariing through his throat. He keeps wondering where the guts came from, he had been wondering where the girl came from, no one dares to do that and to think that the person doing this was just an ordinary human, keeps driving him crazy. Raising his gaze and staring deep into the mirror, his red eyes penetrated the mirror with anger written all over them. His breath thickened as it now came out in grunts, he was just trying so much to control his anger and he didn't know how long he'd be able to control himself. He closed his eyes briefly and threw his head back, trying to calm down. Of course, he knew what would happen if he happens to lose control of himself. He washed his face and changed his clothes before he finally left the restroom and straight to the exit door. Stepping out of the restaurant, he walked over to his car and drove out of the place afte
