Shawn narrowed his eyes, slowing stepping backward. Rose noticed that her words did an effect to him, causing him to move backward out of fear of her magic. She didn’t expect for him to be scared by her words and perhaps he wouldn’t be as much frightened as now if she hadn’t told him the truth about Dominic, he would still remain unfazed by her words.Shawn gritted his teeth, raising his hand, “Move for the last time!” “I said no,” Rose’s green eyes turned lighter in color as she responded to him in a fiercer tone. “I won’t repeat that twice.” Shawn angrily turned the same hand he had raised into a fist, tightening his fingers enough for his fingernails to draw blood from his skin. He ignored the pain, muttering a small whisper of magic.Rose saw the blood drops that fell on the floor began to shake as a creature pushed it body out from the floor. Rose shuddered when seeing the creepy eyes of the gargoyle but something was different with the gargoyle that he had summoned compared to

Dominic never knew that this whole time he had been thinking the way he did until his wolf had pointed this part of him. Dominic looked at the reflection of himself, raising the question he had kept in his mind, “Why do you look like a child?” His wolf raised his hand, his finger pointing straight at him, “You are a child.”“In your eyes maybe but I’m sure I’m not as young as you look like now in appearance,” Dominic raised his confusion. He thought that his wolf should look similar to him as Starvos told him that wolf is a perfect reflection of a person with the only difference being their wolf are more truthful to their desire, something that most people would hide in their heart. “You are supposed to die in this age,” the wolf said, pressing his hand to his chest, “But someone helped you, making sure that you live longer until now.” Dominic raised his eyebrows, confused by what the wolf meant, “I should have died in that age? Why?” The wolf stared at him in silence, uttering n

Rose felt her mother’s embrace and tightly hugged her back. She who had been holding her tears finally felt the water slyly escaping from her green eyes. She held her mother’s hands, making sure that she was alright as well. Mr Maury felt so relieved his legs almost gave away. Seeing Dominic, the man smiled and rested his hand on his shoulder, “Thank heaven you are save too. We, the elders, would never die at peace if any one of you leave this world before us.” “Oh dear! Don’t jinx us!” Mrs. Maury snapped at once. Dominic felt the hand on his shoulders to be warmth, something he didn’t expected. He didn’t expected to see anyone rejoicing of his safety other than Rose’s.“How did you acquire the pike, mother?” Rose asked for her mother to frown. “You know that big handsome knight? The one with silver eyes—”“Starvos,” Rose said which her mother confirmed by nodding her head eagerly. “Where is he now?” “He said that he needed to find you two and left but that’s all that we know. Mona looked at her as though she was rendering her words. A part of her tried to deny what she heard, believing that she was only hallucinating. But she knew she didn’t heard it wrong. She knew it was the name of Rose’s family’s.“Do you know her?” Mona quickly asked, wondering if this person was someone Rose are well acquainted with only to see the girl shaking her head. “I think we should ask your parents.” Rose nodded her head. She felt as though a part of her body had been taken away from her, making her to lose hope. To know the person cursing Dominic was someone from her family made her heart wrenched. At the same time, to know the person had died and they have no other choice but to accept the fact the Fallen’s curse on him was incurable hurt her. She looked back at Mona who then let out a yelp. Turning to see him, she was surprised to see that there was blood coming down from Mona’s ankle, “Are you alright?” Rose quickly stood up, putting magic that would lessen her pain an

Mrs Maury stared at Mona in amazement, “So there is someone who can actually read a person’s life.” “Right?” Mr Maury agreed in surprised. Rose who wondered if she could meet her grandmother Jane as soon as possible and to ask the woman about Hannah Maury’s lifted her face to her mother, “You know about someone who could read a person’s life?” Mrs Maury nodded her head quickly, “Yes. Actually it has something to do with your grandmother Hannah. She would always warn people around her of danger that would soon occur to them.” “Right and when I ask my father, your grandfather, he told me that she had always had the innate talent of reading a person’s life, in this case predicting her future.” Rose didn’t need to ask further question to find out that the woman had indeed use magic to find out about the future that would happen to the people around her… if she was able to put the curse on Dominic, then it was also safer to conclude that she is someone so powerful even amongst the oth
