The following day, Laura woke up later in the morning. She had a lunch appointment with her new team and she was feeling excited about meeting them, since they were going to be the people closest to her when she was working. She picked up her phone from the side table when she felt she had sobered up some more from her sleepiness and unlocked it to check the messages she received. The first thing she noticed was a missed call from James and she instantly sat up as she called him back, but she was only met with the automated voice telling her that he was currently unavailable and to leave a voice message. She quickly hung up while feeling disappointed before going to check her text messages and saw one from James. [I’ll be out of town for the next two days.
